Great stay and will return. The hotel is very family oriented especially with small children. It can be a little noisy but that is to be expected. This is a great place to book families in dance shows , hockey any activities along that line. The rooms are spacious and can easily house a family of 4.

I recently (May'16) stayed and had dinner in the hotel restaurant for 3 nights in a row. Night #1 - Flat Bread ($9 USD before tax & tip). Reasonable size. Taste was good/sufficient. Service was decent Night #2 - Rib Eye Steak ($23 USD before tax & tip). I ordered it RARE. The middle thickest part was medium at best and the outer thinner parts were well done. So not even close to how I ordered it. The waitress was at least apologetic (and explained that they had a new chef) and offered to ... Read more

This hotel is beautiful, clean, very kind and professional staff, and a killer buffet style breakfast.. The only negative during our stay was the sofa pull-out bed. It was literally like sleeping on two metal bars. And the blankets offered for the sofa pull-out were very old and crusty, rather than new and cozy! I would stay there again, but I would never sleep someone on the sofa pull-out again!

The Embassy has always been one of our top choices when visiting the Troy area. The hotel now needs some updating - cons of Room 709: bed is ready to be replaced, bathroom tile grout in corners is black and the vanity finish is scarred, sofa and chair in living room are no longer comfortable and paper is pealing off on the bedroom window sill. Housekeeping is poor - hair from previous guests was found in a clump under the bathroom vanity and we had to call for bathroom towels and supplies a... Read more

This is clearly supposed to be a nice hotel (I've stayed in other Embassy Suites, and they were nice), but it hasn't been updated in decades and is not well cared for. The staff are poorly trained with lots of miscommunication, and our room had SEVERAL broken items (phone, lamp, shower head, etc) as well as cobwebs on the ceiling. It's not unlivable, especially for a quick weekend visiting family, but it definitely didn't live up to my expectations for Embassy Suites.

We were directed to this property as the best option for a family reunion. We were treated very well by the staff during the days we stayed but the hotel showed no sign of being cleaned on any reasonable schedule. The elevators and hallways had the same pieces of candy, bark and paper bits strewn around from the time we arrived until we left three days later. Our bedroom smelled of sweat and the staff was unable to address the problem - the hotel was fully booked, which boggles the mind.

This is a great hotel and a great staff except for 2 things: 1) the blanket provided for the sofa bed is something you would expect at a roadside, deep-discount motel, not an Embassy Suites. They blankets they stock are extremely pilled foam blankets. If you plan to use the pullout sofa bed, you need to either change to a 2-bed room or find a different hotel. This could be a 4 Star hotel, but it is beginning to show its age. First impressions are very positive, but if you look deeper you see worn carpets in the elevator, peeling paint on BR ceilings and doors. But the housekeeping kept everything neat and clean. The kids spent about 2 hours total going up and down in the glass elevators. It was the highlight of the trip for them. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. They gave us a birthday card from Tarzan (as requested) and even found our lost stuffie. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious and the room was lovely and large. A very nice hotel with lots of amenities. The daily breakfast is wonderful and more than enough food. The hotel needs some work but the rooms are clean and well appointed. Lots of good lights. No bathtubs which we were not aware of. We have stayed before and always had a tub. None now though just a large shower. One thing to watch for...,they do allow teams to book here and when they do the hotel can be overrun with kids and parents who do not keep an eye on them!!

Good hotel and good staff. The only LARGE problem is the exercise room. Terrible quality for this level of hotel. The treadmills are ALWAYS out of order. If one out of three works properly, that's a good day. Even if it's working there's always at least one issue with the treadmill - unbalanced, keys stick, TV monitor doesn't work, belt squeaks. They messed up several of our guests rooms (which were booked at least a month in advance), the front desk staff wasn't very accommodating or friendly, one lady was flat out rude and questioned my MOH on how many girls were actually staying in the bridal suite a... Staff is friendly, welcomng and attentive. Food and service are very good. We especially enjoy the cooked to order beeakfast. I have food allergies and Chef Calvin goes above and beyond to be accomodating.

My wife and I love it here. We've been coming here since before we were married. Golam always takes great care of us at the manager's reception. Amazing that he never forgets us - in fact he smiles when he sees us on a Friday night. Breakfast is always beyond expectations.

Overall great service! Great Staff! Planning a new event in this suite. It was a nice location. The lobby was very neat, big, and entertaining. This suite was decorated with good fashion as well. I will be back soon.

A great place to stay when you are in town for a state marching band competition! Value of the room great compared to staying in downtown area. Easy access from Interstate 75. Able to get into our room hours earlier, knowing we wouldn't be back until after midnight. Friendly staff throughout. Congested breakfast line area but always great food choices. Second time staying there and I would be back if in the area.

This was an excellent choice. Friendly front desk and restaurant staff. Upon arrival we were greeted with goody bags. We had complimentary drinks each day of our stay. Complimentary hot breakfast, evening reception each day. Rooms were clean n fresh. We will definitely be back when in the area.

Great hotel with plenty of amenities. The atrium area is beautiful and was a great place to sit and relax. The complimentary reception was a great touch. The pool area was great until a group of kids came in and overtook the entire pool. They were really inconsiderate and the parent paid no attention to their screaming, diving and splashing. Breakfast buffet offered more than what you can even try!

We were in for a family wedding. Bridal party, family and friends stayed with a block of rooms. Lounge / bar area very nice. Offered reception time from 5:30-7:30 pm with drink tickets. Breakfast was provided with our stay. We had a bedroom suite which was sized well for our family of 6. Separate living area from bedroom with 2 double beds. Hotel provided shuttles to the wedding reception but we took our own car. Big hotel but it didn't feel like it when we came and went to events. Nic... Read more

We stayed here for a wedding. The service was excellent. We had no problems. None of our friends/family had any problems either. The kids all used the pool/hot tub and were happy with that. The breakfast was good also.

Room smelt old and musky. Mold in shower. The floors weren't vacuumed. Housekeeping missed cleaning my room. I personally wouldn't stay here again. Ordered room service very over priced. Food was average.

We stayed for three nights. Great service the first two nights with what I suspaectvto be less than half hotel capacity. On the third night it appeared to be filled to capacity with a High school football team there. The atrium was noisy until 1 am. Breakfast was a nightmare. Long lines with the football team taking massive amounts of food. No compensation or direction by the staff to resolve any issues. Very disappointing after two days of excellent service. I will check occupancy before I mak... Read more

Staying for six nights. Second and third nights the room heater malfunctioned, with room overheating, and requiring the engineer to come twice to fix it. Third, fourth, and fifth nights had several youth hockey teams, and their parents, staying in the hotel. Although the parents signed forms upon check-in agreeing to supervise the children at all times, they chose to ignore the rule and sit in the bar or their rooms, while their children stampeded in the halls, and up and down the stairwells for... I have been in many Embassy Suites but I'm not impressed with this one. First, they don't replenish the premier suite items. They came late to clean. There was a hockey tournament this weekend and there was so many kids running and banging of doors, it was unbelievable the inconsiderate parents that were staying in this hotel. It amazes me how such a hotel would allow for such a group to be there and act the way they did all weekend. The banging of doors lasted every night until 2am every night... Read more

We had a huge group staying here for football including the team, coaches, parents and fans. They were very accommodating. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly and helpful and they let us have fun while we were there! The kids did get a little noisy (as well as the adultsū??¨) but just reminded us to be a little quieter. We have stayed with other hotels for this same event and they were not nearly as well prepared or accommodating for such a large group. Thank you for letting this experience be ... Read more

My room had leaks all over it! It was literally raining in doors. Phones didn't work! So I called to front desk and they said someone would be up to fix it- no one came so I called again.. and then no one still came! I wrote to the corporate office and someone finally came to my room- it was very late so it took me longer to get to the door and whoever it was left so my problems were never fixed. Couldn't sleep with the loud dripping throughout my room :( . Had meetings the entire next day and I... Read more

Between inconsiderate, obese guests and a cook staff that could not keep up with demand, I stood in line three times but could not get any bacon. Guests were filling their plates with it like the world was coming to an end - their ends were as big as elephants I might add. Definitely not a well behaved, well mannered business crowd here.
