It's a decent hotel with nice breakfast (paid extra) and friendly service. Nice bar in the lobby. We had great lunch & dinner served. Hotel with a number of conference rooms, which makes it a great meeting/workshop location. The rooms are not so perfect though (considering high room rates)- no safe; no kettle -the only option to get hot water is to use in-room mini coffee maker. Mini fridge & ironing board provided. No bathrobe; no slippers...Bathroom with a bathtub ( my preference is shower wit... Read more

After attending an event at the Joe Louis Arena, a friend of mine invited me to crash with him at this lovely Marriott only 20 minutes away. I jumped on 75 N and got off exit 69 for Big Beaver Road (interesting choice of exit number and street name) and I could see the hotel soon after. My room was clean and spacious but most of all really comfortable, which is what I've come to expect from all Marriott hotels due to my previous stays. I got a great night of sleep and was on my way back to Chica... Read more

This is an extremely nice hotel. Great staff also. The beds are soooo comfortable. A business class hotel which I went for. Didn't see the amenities except the concierge lounge, which was very nice. i would recommend. In the middle of lots of restaurants and shopping malls.

Our home had been under renovation for several weeks and on short notice my husband decided we needed a break in the action for some quiet R & R and a hot tub. We arrived late, after traveling from OH, to find that the pool/spa closed in 45 minutes. As we rode up the elevator, we found that two youth teams were staying at the hotel (hockey and skating). Our greatest fear was the noise and a crowded pool area.... We found the children were not allowed in the pool area after 10pm but unfortunate... Read more

Had the misfortune of staying here as my usual hotel was fully occupied. The hotel is generally very tired looking, particularly in the rooms. However, more importantly, had the pleasure of staying with a group of young hockey players who had clearly never stayed in a hotel before and felt that they had the run of the floor, screaming, shouting, throwing pizza, drinks and towels all over the corridors. The staff seemed to think that this was acceptable, and offered to send security up to have... Read more

The hotel seemed fine and was convenient for our family visit, but was way overpriced. The morning after our stay, we were covered in red bites. When we brought up our concern about bed bugs, management was very short, rude and dismissive. We weren't trying to get anything, but thought they should know. They were very defensive and didn't want to hear it.

I stayed here on a business trip, and felt it was a great hotel. Check in was really fast, and the lady on reception offered her help for directions/ tips for the local area. My room was very big - 2 double beds and a large bathroom. The bed was extremely comfortable and I had a choice of different types of pillows. The buffet breakfast is amazing... freshly made omelettes, hash browns, large buffet selection.. I visited the pool area twice, it was very quiet and pleasant to do a few lengths.... Read more

This Marriott offers good value and a higher class atmosphere without being brilliant. The rooms are clean, well maintained and offer everything that a traveller needs. The banquet facilities are excellent and can cater to a variety of small or large functions. The restaurant is OK but overpriced (Breakfast buffet $ 20!). The pool is nice but oddly placed on the second floor. Altogether, this is more a business than a leisure hotel. Try to avoid the ever present youth hockey teams at weekends!

Something changed at Marriott with their Thann bathroom amenities. I took a shower the evening of my arrival and was hit with an asthma attack. Since I was in an allergy free room and had my humidifier running, I could only attribute it to the scented shower gel. I used the Marriott App to send a note asking for unscented bath gel and was told that they didn't have any in the hotel but would send someone shopping for some. I told them that wasn't necessary, but when I returned to my room the ... Read more
