Well decorated, clean, quiet.....friendly employees....location is excellent as it is close to everything. Just minutes away from the Grande Mere Inn Restaurant which overlooks Lake Michigan. Have said several times in the last 60 days. Consistently good!

Stayed here for one night. Everything is fine. Convenient to interstate. Some really good restaurants within a couple of miles or so, but you have to know where to look. Breakfast is typically the basic hotel breakfast but there is a Cracker Barrel on the other side of the interstate.

The staff was always smiling and accommodating with our requests. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We had approx. 50 - 60 people staying at the hotel for a wedding. Access to expressways were easy on / easy off. Only minutes from Silver Beach. Thank you for making our stay so memorable.

This is a great hotel and very well maintained. They have very friendly employees. Especially the front desk on Saturday she was excellent. Shows that they have an excellent manager as well. The location is also good for my travel needs. Breakfast was good had a variety of items available.

The property could use a sprucing up. The rooms are a good size, but the TV is pretty small, wallpaper is peeling, doors stick, and there's some sort of weird thing rubber thing at the bottom of the door to the room that makes a weird wooshing sound every time you open it. The AC is controlled on the window unit and works so-so, but at least it was quiet. The bed is comfortable, and the room is clean. While you won't feel pampered, it gets the job done. The staff wasn't really warm upon check... Read more

My husband & I planned and booked a month stay at the Hampton Inn this month due to moving into a new home that is completing construction. I left 2 phone messages prior to our stay with the manager to simply ask a few questions and also stopped in and left 2 messages for her to call me back. These messages I left spanned over a week. She was working they said at the front desk. I received 0 call backs and my husband decided this would be in the indication of the service we would be receiving and... Read more

Nice hotel. Rooms are redone. Some of the staff need lessons in customer service. It is a little noisy with the highway so close. Not too far of a drive to downtown St. Joseph. Continental breakfast wasn't too bad.

We have spent nights at this motel for at least 1-2 times per year for many years now. We have always loved the entire experience from rooms, lobby, staff to the food and beverages served. A couple of years ago they remodeled and turned a bright cheery and open lobby to one that is now dark, dreary and closed in. The rooms also went from bright and cheery to very, very dark and depressing. We opted to stay again despite the depressing ambience, but this will be our last stay at this motel. ... Read more

We chose this hotel because the Wine Fest shuttles provided transportation to the event. We had friends who stayed at the Super 8 and we definitely got the better of the two hotels! It was easy to find and right off the highway - a short drive to nearby Saint Joseph with cute shops and good restaurants. Our room was clean & quiet, window blind definitely blocked the sun, hot water in shower/bath was plentiful, and never had a problem getting ice. The pop machine was out of order so it was a good... I have never stayed at a more beautiful, comfortable, friendly hotel! I think it had been recently remodeled. The bathrooms are large and gorgeous! The rooms seem luxurious with really comfortable beds. The pool was the perfect temperature and clean. The complimentary breakfast delicious and plentiful. The staff--not one surly or unsmiling, unhelpful one among the bunch!! That's not normal! All this, for less than $100 a night!!!

had some major problems on arrival with my reservation as I booked thru Expedia and had a confirmation code from them but this did not mean that Hampton inn had it which was a new one for me. The room I had booked was not available as they were sold out but they gave me a king room for the night and would try to move me the next morning. They would then deal with the pricing and reservation then. Well in the night the desk girl named Sarah who was wonderful and her first night alone at the front... Read more

Pros-professional, friendly staff, great breakfast, comfy beds, nice bathrooms, pretty native flowers outside window, fridge and microwave in our room, nice shower Cons-nothing really, pool was closed for cleaning (but hey-that means they clean it!), wouldve liked another table in our room (only had a desk), wouldve preferred more kids tv channels but overall it was a great stay and we will return.

The staff really make the hotel as they are friendly and helpful and very welcoming. There were always fresh coffee and tea. That was a nice touch. The breakfast was a typical "included" breakfast-sausages, eggs, bagels and toast, cereal, fruit. The rooms were larger than a normal hotel, greatly appreciated by our group. This hotel was conveniently located right off the highway and across from 24 hour Meijer. Good location to explore St. Joseph and Stevensville. Looks like rooms have been updated, but the bathroom had poor lighting and could use a more thorough cleaning. Nice to have access to mini-fridge and microwave. Reasonably priced rooms, adequate exercise room, good pool and great complimentary breakfast. Only deficiency is the lateness in cleaning the rooms - they need more staff. Front desk staff is very professional and really makes you feel welcome. If you are staying more than one night, you might want to consider tipping daily - maids seemed to be more responsive when I did that. Right off of interstate I-94 and just a 5 minute drive to downtown St. Joseph and to Silver Beach.

I was in the area for business and the company recommended this hotel. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, the shade on my window didn't work and there were no curtains, so I was rather open to the outside in the evening and early morning when I had my light on. No easy way to get from this location to the lake by walking. And I had to book a more expensive room because the only less expensive rooms available were for people with disabilities - which I didn't feel right ... Read more

We stayed here on Friday, July 15th. It was very convenient right next to the interstate. A typical Hampton double queen room. Complaints ---- our room door at sometime had been forced open, the lock had pulled out of the door and it wasn't as secure as it should have been, the door also was difficult to open. We told the front desk and they told us they would put in a work order. The breakfast was good as usual. We paid over $200 for the room, too much $.

We stayed here one night while visiting the beach in St. Joe. We are Hilton Honors Gold members and have stayed at several Hampton Inns as a comparison. We got a good rate about two weeks out, so that was a positive compared to the rates we paid elsewhere in beach towns the rest of the week (Think we paid $120 after the Hilton 20% off sale). The hotel is on the street that goes through downtown St. Joe, so it's super easy to get to the beach if you know where you are going (10-15 minutes). T... Read more

I booked three rooms for family as we enjoyed the sand mountains of Warren Dunes. Hotel staff was very friendly, professional, and made us feel very welcome. I typically enjoy staying at Hampton Inn Hotels but did not have a positive experience at this hotel. Even though I pre booked the room using points that took me forever to accumulate, they had no extra pillows for the pull out bed. The hotel did offer us extra sheets so we just made pillows using the sheets. My family was very frustrated!!

We usually stay here 2-3 days each summer, but this summer was very disappointing. We asked for a room in a quieter area and she gave us a room across from the pine trees which made our room dark when the big shade was open. This room also had spiders in it with webs. We told front desk, and she said she'd get on it right away. This was our second stay at this hotel and it was bareable but not what we normally get at a Hampton. We got a super good rate (< $100) so I had to keep reminding myself you get what you pay for. It's an older Hampton and they seem to have staffing issues. if you arrive before 5pm expect to wait for a clean room. Beds are hard and squeak and our room smelled old and musty. Breakfast was meh. This Hampton Inn was like almost all the others where I have stayed: a very good place to lodge for the night. They are not quite excellent. That would require a sauna, room service, etc., but they are generally highly recommended. Many motels now offer a free breakfast. For my money, the Hampton breakfast layout is the best of the bunch. Now and then I'll be in an area where the local Hampton is a little too pricey. Then I regrettably opt for something else.
