Our family of three enjoyed our stay here, the room was clean, spacious, warm, convenient and quiet (did not hear any road noise). Staff on site was very accommodating . The pool was a big hit for our 5 year old, as was Jack's. Our room was modern and beds were adequate ( prefer a pillow top but these were just fine). We will return in the summertime so we can enjoy the nearby walkways and gorgeous views.

There are not many choices for hotels in Spring Lake, so we booked this one. Nice location on the water (ask for water view), young woman at the desk was very nice also. Room was what you would expect from a Holiday Inn- also very clean and quiet (no road noise nor other guests).

We held our annual Marriage Retreat at this facility April 29th - May 1st, 2016. Having done Marriage Retreat's for the past 20 years, we have never stayed at a cleaner, well maintained, and friendly hotel. The staff went above and beyond our expectations. The banquet facilities and staff are TOP notch! The quality and quantity of the food is simply amazing! Christine the banquet manager checked on every detail of our banquets. Nice view of the marina and has a bar restaurant (jacks ) right beside it .would definitely recommend it.They also had cookies at the lobby everyday !??? They also had a comedy club on Thursday that was ok and cheap drinks and beer.great service overall.

We are newlyweds staying here while we're passing through town. All of the staff have been friendly, the hotel is clean and in a great location. Our room is overlooking the bay and we can see all of the boats and lights at night. Jack's restaurant (attached to the hotel) is amazing. The best breakfast we've ever had at a restaurant. They just rolled out a new menu, definitely worth checking out. Jai, our server, is a gem. Don't miss stopping in.

My wife and I stayed here as a part of our 10th Anniversary trip and extended weekend away without the kids. Our room was a standard room, with a King bed, overlooking the water. The room was very clean, as was the bathroom. The hotel, in general, was also very clean and well kept. The indoor pool and hot tub were both very clean and fun, but the outdoor pool was not yet open for the season, which we expected. The hotel staff was very helpful. The front desk staff helped with recommend... Read more

Hotel is clean, staff is nice. Views and location are above average, large outdoor bar. Pricy, I've gotten more for less on other vacations, it's supply and demand though, not many hotels in Grand Haven.

I had a group of girlfriends go to Jack's for a drink and listen to the band that plays Jimmy Buffet style music. I had not been there in 5 years...we had a blast. Our server was Lauren...what a sweetie..she told us she was in nursing school and working...she was personal and fun to talk with. I asked for her the next week we went..we are going tonight and I will request her again..Their drinks are one the best poured!! New bar tender this year...enjoyed one drink and dinner and band :)

Rent a cop patrolling area on major power high. BEWARE he is a complete dope and stalks the guests. Would assume a 200 a night room needs a rent a cop. There were no parking spots, hotel manager gave us permission to park in an area that wasn't designated for parking. Rent a cop waited Til 1:30 in the morning then came to our room walk us up with 2 grand haven police and made us move the car and all three cops had a major attitude. The area we were parked it did not state no parking. Staye... Read more

I spent a weekend here at the end of last summer. I thought the location was great, the restaurant and bar were a bonus. We brought our dog and everything was fantastic! My son wanted a weekend get away so I am sending him here. I hope he gets a room with a view of the water. Special thanks to the front desk for being very helpful and accommodating! Pizza from the restaurant was really good. There was entertainment near the pool and my dog was welcome to hang out there too.

We have yet to even have our vacation but if our experience with the Manager and how amazing she handled our reservation needs are any indication, we are sure to have a fabulous (and much needed) family vacation. Ally was beyond accommodating with our need for two rooms in August, listened to our issues and concerns, and talked this frazzled mom down from a hot mess state into counting the days we all finally get to spend some time together. She was phenomenal and is a total asset to their compa... Read more

My wife fell in love with the place because it was bright and clean and had a great pool. I agree the hotel and rooms were clean and well maintained and the service staff was friendly. I'm not a swimmer so I didn't care about the pool, but other things I found to be a problem. Most large hotels have multiple entry doors leading to the front lobby, and then wide open spaces making carrying luggage easier. This facility had only 2 manually operated doors (as opposed to doors which open automat... Read more

The hotel was nice, our room was clean, the pools were nice, just remember to bring your pool towels down to the pool, they don't have them at the pool. The kids liked the balcony, and the big boats parked in front of the hotel, was in a good location too.

This was my second visit to this hotel. The grounds are great with the pool, tiki bar and marina. The rooms are okay but could use an update. Some have balconies which is a nice touch, however ours was dirty and was turned off. The air condition was inconsistent of keeping your room a good temperature. The hotel has live entertainment which is great but we had a large group of people partying in the parking lot below where we stayed till early morning hours. The staff was friendly, and the tiki... We have been going to the Holliday Inn, Spring lake for over ten years now. I can surely say this place has gotten better and better over the years. Our recent two visits in July were fabulous. The staff are awesome and very friendly, especially Jerry. The restaurant is clean and I love the outdoor seating.

The Holiday Inn is a nice hotel and the staff was friendly, but the rooms are layed out very poorly...at least the room we had, 403. Lousy view. Ice machine is RIGHT outside the door with everyone trying to fill their coolers at 6:00 AM. Our room was NOT clean. Leftover trash and used shampoo bottle. Even after day 1, it was obvious the cleaning crew had not done a good job refreshing the room. Very disappointed in this. Hotel is not really convenient to anything. The beach and shopping ... Very few times can I travel anywhere with my family and not be somewhat embarrassed by the commotion that we all create and normally the poor server that takes care of us is the source of our joking around. I stayed at the hotel while I was attending meetings nearby and I enjoyed it. The hotel is older and the rooms and balconies do show their age. However, I found the rooms to include updated decore. The rooms were very clean and quite bright. Because it's an older hotel, the rooms are a bit small, inlcuding the bathrooms, and the hall noise is something to be prepared for. I suspect that during the summer, far more families use the hotel, which adds to the noise. The outside bar at the hotel ... Read more

While this hotel is nice right on the water, and very convenient to have a restaurant on site, it is too expensive for what you get. While we did have a pet friendly room, it was expected to be nicer for the price paid. Stains on the carpet; headboards quite crooked on the wall; horrible shotty patch jobs on the walls; no WI FI available when we were there; you only get double beds, not queens; small room.
