Overall the hotel was not a bad stay but the renovations being done limit the choice of rooms, produced noise and debris during the day, and means most of the rooms are older/not renovated. I'd stay here again AFTER the renovations are complete.

I checked into the Residence Inn in December and have been traveling there every week for business. The entire staff makes sure that you are well taken care off. They learned my name right away and from day 1, it was like coming home. The socials during the week are well attended by guests and staff alike. I watched the renovation take this from an old drab hotel to a hip and modern place. If you are in the area, definitely consider staying here. You won't regret it!

First off let me say I am sorry that it has taken me a little time to write this review. Ok so I am extremely critical of customer service since I work in that industry and have a certan standard that I think should be met. I have to send high praise for Sondra and the rest of the staff because they took such good care of my son and I!! We left lansing later than intended and I called Sondra and let her know we were still coming. When we arrived it was after 9pm and my son was sleeping, we had d... Read more

As a Marriott "regular" this hotel should be a model for other properties to study on how to provide excellent customer service. From the initial greeting at check-in to my early morning checkout yesterday I have nothing but praise for the very courteous and professional staff during my week stay. Always a hello and a smile when I passed the front desk - and any questions I had answered quickly. Lori is a rock star! The property and all rooms are newly renovated and all updates are complete ... Read more

The staff s fantastic! The rooms are very clean and comfortable as well. I was here all week and had no complaints. All of the staff from the front desk to the landscapers were beyond helpful and nice, offering g god ideas for this to do. I will come back even if it's not for business.

I had a one-bedroom unit at Residence Inn/Pontiac which was about 15 minutes from downtown Detroit. The unit was roomy, clean and comfortable. I had a nice full kitchen with two flat screen televisions. The free breakfast was good, eggs, sausage, potatoes, muffins, yogurt, oatmeal, cereals, fruit, juices, and bread items. The staff was quite friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The only negative was the air conditioning unit was quite noisy. I had to turn the TV way up to drown out the ... Read more

We LOVE the recent renovations at this location. The modern upgrades made our stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. The staff has the best customer service our family has ever experienced in all of our travels. Internet was high speed enough to stream Netflix. Highly recommend!

We had a two-bedroom suite for a couple months stay for business. Family came for three weeks of the trip and we really tried the hotel out! RF id keys were nice and always worked well, front desk ladies were generally accommodating. Breakfast was pretty good, dinner was better (Mon - Wed), although it was just a snack one evening each week. Fitness area was nice and machines were all in good order with TVs and view of pool (if kids wanted to swim). Indoor pool area was just decent - very cold ... Read more

The hotel is newly renovated, rooms are clean and comfortable. Bed firm but I fell asleep quickly, even with noisy air-conditioning. Staff very friendly. Close to Troy and large mall and other attractions. But the pool was yellow and the whirlpool was covered but you can see green slime,smell... Didn't use either been told it's been like that for weeks.

We were drawn to the residence inn so our family of 6 (4 kids 10 and under) wouldn't have to share two rooms at a traditional hotel. We were very pleased with our stay. The hotel looks to be recently renovated and they have done a great job. It is clean, modern looking, and comfortable. Our room was a 2 bedroom suite with kitchen/living area. Plenty of space for all of us and we loved having 2 bathrooms! I also appreciated the full sized coffee pot in the morning. We did not use the cooki... Read more

We waited for the two bedroom location of preference at the Mexican restaurant across the road. Texas size margaritas! There is three Marriott hotels very close together... make sure you reserve at the right one! The hotel was spotless! The front staff was accommodating. The fire pit was a nice surprise! The BBQ and sitting area between the buildings was so inviting and relaxing. It was easy to get around from this location. The breakfast was excellent too! Well done!:)

Stayed there for close to a month and I must say the only reason I missed home was because i started craving for home made Indian food. Loved my stay at this place. The rooms have a drawing room with a full fledged kitchen (induction stove and microwave) - with enough utensils, plates and saucepans required to make all basic forms of meals. The breakfast is fairly limited in terms of the food served and very monotonous - one will get "fed-up" of the breakfast in 3 to 4 days time. The inn has h... Read more

I stayed here for a week on business 10/23 thru 10/28 and couldn't have picked a better place. The rooms are clean and very spacious and it's conveniently located. They offer a free breakfast every morning and Mon, Tues and Wed, free drinks and food from 6:00 to 7:30. With all that being said the best thing about staying here is the people. I don't think I've ever had so much personalized service. From the time you walk in the lobby, thru the eating area to walking to your room everyone is ... Read more

We had a nice stay here. We had a one-bedroom suite, which was in great shape, and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. We were traveling with a baby and found the room was not well suited for a crib (we ended up putting the crib in the doorway to the rest of the suite). Breakfast was pretty standard, nothing spectacular. They have some great guest events throughout the week and even have a grocery shopping service, but we were only there for one night. The layout is certainly odd. ... Read more

This Residence Inn has had a significant (and badly needed) renovation over the last few months. The rooms have been freshened and the lobby areas have been updated. The room rate is reasonable and the free breakfast is still good. Worth another try if you haven't been here for a while.

This Residence Inn has newly renovated efficiency apartments. Their contractors reversed the hot and cold lines in the kitchen, mounted the shower rod too high, and set the toilet too close to the wall so that the toilet seat wouldn't stay up in my room. The facility is also not providing the advertised hot tub. The free breakfasts were a plus. Got into an argument with a maintenance man who came to address issues, but left in a huff. A second maintenance man made up for the first, but he could... Read more
