Been here many times. Gina the manager was holding a free hospitality event and was very cordial. Many great restaurants nearby. They have a great breakfast buffet in house. The rooms are very clean and the bed is VERY comfortable. Free parking.

i had business meetings in Bloomfield Hills, Birmingham, and Troy and this hotel was perfect for all 3 locations ... 10-20 minutes away. hotel restaurant and bar have enough variety and good Italian & Mexican places, in the same parking lot. Wendy's, Hungry Howie's, and Subway down the street. Maria in the Concierge Lounge is very friendly and professional. Please leave a couple of bucks in the tip jar, if you're getting breakfast or a good sized snack. The only negative and there's nothing... Read more

It was simply average and I have come to expect so much more from Marriott. I had booked two rooms for a wedding. Specifically called this location to make the reservation. My room preferences were stated at that time as well as in my reward account. They opted to give us one double and one king. When I went to correct this I was told the answer was "I" didn't book it correctly and the second reservation did not have a preference so I got what they gave me. Well that isn't what the confirma... Read more

Rooms were clean and in good condition, housekeeping was extremely responsive and did a great job. But my hallway SMELLED LIKE CIGARETTE smoke each morning and evening. Thankfully, my room was fine and did not smell of smoke. Room rate was also lower than I might expect for a full Marriott.

Beautiful hotel! Excellent service - especially Ebony in park view grill coffee shop. She went out of her way to provide amazing customer service and made me feel so welcome! Will definitely come back!

Overall this is a good hotel but there is room for improvement. As a frequent Marriott guest I find the Front Desk to be inconsistent in how they interact with the guests. This does not mean there was any unpleasantness but does mean that 50% of the time it is not the warm welcome and appreciation that better hotels strive to deliver. The rooms are tired need to be updated. I understand that this planned. Food - I have to say that the restaurant for dinner (including room service) is really re... Read more

I visited this hotel for business for a few nights in late May and I was pretty satisfied for the most part. The hotel is easily found right off the 75 business loop and there is a ton of parking and decent amount of restaurants nearby. Upon walking into the hotel you immediately see that they have spent a lot on making their lobby look great. Check in was quick and easy, and they had me on the 11th floor. The elevators a bit dated, but who cares. The hallways in between the rooms appear to be v... Read more

The hotel was nice. Staff was friendly. We ate in the restaurant. The food service was a bit slow, but the server was attentive and friendly. Like most full service Marriotts, the room itself was on the smaller side. If staying on the concierge level, I recommend staying in a room facing west. There is cable noise from the elevator that echoes above the ceiling in the rooms along that same wall.

We arrived to take in some sights from the area and as soon as we walked into the lobby I was impressed. Sharply dressed personnel, fruity water to drink....classy. The room itself was very nice as well, and the bed was extremely comfortable. However, it wasn't all unicorns and dreams. The pool area is rather oddly arranged, where everyone in the fitness center, gets to stare at you, through the glass as you swim. My fiancée cut her foot on a earring, in the hot tub, which actually pierced her ... Read more

We enjoyed our stay at the Marriott during our soccer tournament. Facilities were clear and well kempt. Staff were friendly and helpful. One major drawback was that many other hotels will offer a complimentary area for the families to relax. This hotel wanted us to pay for that. On the other hand, with the large number of teams in the hotel, I am not sure that they would have been able to accommodate that many comps Breakfast service was ad hoc in the conference area and was not particularly... I have stayed at this property multiple times and have found the staff to be very friendly and accomodating. The rooms are tired and are in need of an refresh, yet I found the beds to be comfortable. Parking is plentiful and the location is perfect for getting to Troy or Bloomfield Hills/Birmingham. If you do not want to eat on property, there is a wonderful Mexican and Italian restaurants walking distance from the property.

Great place to stay! There for a wedding. Loved the flavored water offered in the lobby. All employees were very nice, the bartenders were pleasant and the hotel was very clean. Wish there was breakfast included. Good location for our events.

I travel regularly to Pontiac for business and try to stay here when I do. Its not super fancy but its solid on the things that are important: its clean, good internet, good bed, and a nice lounge on the top floor to meet with work colleagues. It has plenty of parking and very courteous staff as well. The in-hotel restaurant isn't great. The local restaurants aren't great either but that's not the hotel's fault. This hotel is a big step above the Courtyard across the street...well worth the p... Read more

I have stayed in this Marriott hotel in Pontiac several times over the years. Sure, it has slowly gone downhill, but still provides a quality stay. The staff is pleasant and accommodating. I would not hesistate to stay here when I find myself in Pontiac in the future.

We accidently step into for breakfast and there is another room for breakfast for people who came for soccer. My daughter was on uniform they could have informed us and service was so slow. We traveled 13 hours from Georgia to Michigan for a funeral and this hotel made our trip so much easier upon arrival. The front desk staff was extremely pleasant and greeted us with a smile. The property is extremely well maintained and up to date. Everything was clean and presentable. The room was beautiful and very clean. The beds were very comfortable and exactly what we needed after a long drive. There was a big event going on while we were there but our stay was still very quiet and pea... Read more

Although I have stayed at this property too many times to count I regret I have never written a review to recognize it properly. The reason I continually return is simple, the great staff and a clean, comfortable hotel. The rooms are well kept and although somewhat dated by some other guests standards the staff and cleanliness rival any newer hotel I have stayed at. The customer service keeps me and my family coming back. We travel frequently to this part of Michigan and I will not stay anywhere... Read more

This Marriott consistently exceeds all expectations. From the front desk staff, to the nice, roomy rooms for a very reasonable price, I've never been disappointed -- and I stay there very often. The hotel is conveniently located off of I-75, near many of the large corporate headquarters in the Northern suburbs of Detroit -- Chrysler, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, etc. It's about a 45 minute drive from the airport -- do yourself a favor and check traffic and construction on a GPS App before yo... Stayed here recently for a class reunion, and was very impressed with the facilities and the staff. From front desk to housekeeping to bartenders in the lounge, all seemed engaged, friendly and professional. The rooms were nice, spacious, clean and comfortable. Parking is close by and plentiful, and the hotel is very easily accessed from I-75. Our only complaint is a minor and odd one--the windows of the hotel were filthy. Though the Rooms were large the toilets were a bit small but yet decent size. The hotel has large ballrooms. The indoor pool though clean, leaves a stench of chlorine in the entire floor. Since we were part of a wedding group,we are not aware of the quality of the food at the hotel as the catering was done from outside Breakfast spread was good. While the staff were friendly and nice but services in room left a lot to be desired. I was informed that this is typical of all american hotels.

Is this hotel perfect, of course not. But for a suburban Marriott the staff was one of the nicest we have encountered in a long time. And considering there were three weddings and the dream cruise crowd Thats saying a lot. The rooms were up to date and clean. They have room service if you're so inclined and both an indoor and outdoor pool. Fitness center was not bad either

I travelled to Pontiac on business and stayed at the Marriott. The staff were really great and friendly from the reception, room staff to the pub staff, a great crowd of people. We made use of the concierge lounge for breakfast, which has a small but comprehensive selection of items to select from for your meal. The hotel is not located within walking distance of any shopping centres etc and you will need to use a taxi to go anywhere. There are, however, a couple of restaurants nearby that ser... Read more

I noticed semen stains on the bed sheets right away and cannot understand for the life of me how room service/cleaning folks missed it. I called and it was changed right away but seriously? It is below par to leave such a thing unnoticed by Marriott standards...i guess.

Clean, conveniently located. However, it is very close to the highway & even on the higher floors, you can hear the traffic noise all day/night long. There are also not too many restaurants/convenience stores nearby. However, the staff was very friendly & courteous.

We have stayed at the Auburn Hills Marriott twice now. It is convenient to restaurants and a church for a weekend stay to visit family in the area. The facility is very nice. The Sunday morning breakfast is quick and very good to allow you to continue travelling. The wait staff went out of their way to be gracious.

This is a great property...however, the need for the attention to the little things needs to be done with the Hotel management. The Good:The facilities are great, rooms nice, great TV's...I think they are 50" and the workout facility is awesome. The Bad: The property always has this smell....I can't put my nose on it, but I believe like most hotels it is pumped in...and it seems to be most overpowering at checkin. I think they should tone it down. The Ugly: It doesn't seem like the place ... Read more

When checking into the hotel, I received excellent service from the front desk staff. I wanted directions to the Detroit Metro Airport for the following morning and I was given a printout of directions. The clerk also gave me her personal cell number in case I wanted additional assistance. Kudos to Von for going above and beyond for assisting someone.

I've been at Marriot Centerpoint for about 20 times in the last 4 years, always for business trips lasting one week or more. I've noted that things have gone worst in recent months: room service and restaurant staff first of all. I've found dirty towels in my room and dust was clearly visible on most of the furniture. I had good memories of the restaurant staff, always kind and helpful: this time I found young guys not willing to help at all, unkind and not good at interacting with customers: no... Read more
