This hotel is undergoing a complete refurbishment. The upgraded rooms are very nice and comfortable BUT - we stayed four nights and all three days that the room was made up left a lot to be desired. Over all days the maid took away used cups and glasses but did not replenish the supply. The pull out bed was used but was never made up. The second day the room was never made up at all. When we contacted the front desk they immediately sent someone up and were apologetic. But the next day mo... Read more

Overall the hotel was great, all the staff I encountered from the receptionist to housekeeping was polite. Check in was a breeze (60 seconds). The hotel is currently having work done on and in it so a little dusty in the hallways. The room was ok, over all clean but it needs a little tlc to keep it sharp. Like I said clean and everything was in its place. But there were stains on the wall that looked like wall paper glue. Who ever put that up didn't do a god clean up after themselves. The bathr... We were here because our boss booked the room. Never again, I'm going back to Marriott. Noisy air conditioner, a bed that was brutal on my back, paying for Internet access and 11.95 for a marginal at best breakfast buffet...all around disappointment. After a truly outstanding stay a few days ago at a Marriott Springhill Suite, this experience was joltingly awful.

I was in town for a funeral and just needed a place to rest my head between events. The Double Tree was a great option. The room was clean, the bed was nice, the shower worked well. This was the first time in a long time of me staying at a hotel that the sheets didn't haven an ominous stain or rip. There was a fridge in my room, which I was happy to see as I wasn't sure from the website. The location was pretty great as well. There was a strip mall behind the hotel, where I was able to find a Wa... Read more

Was disappointed this hotel wasn't up to standard...the biggest thing for me was the hotel only had one elevator! Of course my room was on the other side of the building once I got off the elevator so was truly inconvenient. Needless to say this would not be my first choice returning to NOVI.

The experience here was very good, however this could be even better with staff providing with some good information on what is available and what are the specific services that one can availa while staying at this property. The staff could have been better trained.

We went for a large party and stayed the night. The party service and food were very good. The bathrooms were under a prolonged construction so we had to use guest rooms. I reserved, and paid for, a large corner suite. They gave me a junior suite instead. Then they were surprised when I wanted a partial refund for the difference. They offered me 50,000 extra Hilton Honor points but I've seen nothing. The room was comfortable but not all of the equipment worked. Overall, I rate this prope... Read more

We stayed here for one night at the end of a long Michigan visit. There was a wedding at the hotel on the same night, which normally I would have regretted fearing loud and raucous parties. But in fact everyone was well-behaved and respectful so no worries there. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Other reviews talked about the road leading up to the hotel, and indeed we found it to be needing resurfacing. But it wasn't so horrible. Hopefully Hilton management will be able to coo... Read more

Nice staff, clean hotel. My family spent most of our time in the pool which was great. The breakfast was a little to expensive especially for a family stay. So we went elsewhere. The hotel was going through needed renovations but we barely noticed. Sabrina at the front desk made our stay delightful.

The quality and cleanliness of this hotel was top notch. This was our second stay here, and we will stay here next time we are in the area. It's a really convenient location and easy to find. We didn't have a chance to eat the breakfast, but it looked delicious and smelled great. There is also a Starbucks in the hotel.

The hotel also offers a shuttle service which takes guests anywhere they want within 5 miles of the hotel. There is a 24 hr gym and a pool which is open from 6am-11pm. The stay was terrible. There was a very loud mechanical noise that prevented me from sleeping ALL NIGHT! The hotel had many vacant rooms, and how we ended up with this room is a mystery. If we weren't so tired from hours of traveling, I would have demanded a different room. Never had a bad experience at a Hilton before.

Stayed there last weekend for 3 nights. The room was nice and comfortable, nothing fancy. They forgot to give us coffee when they cleaned one day, we didn't notice it until the morning. This is a very odd hotel. The remodel is very modern, but it can't make up for the fundamental problem that the original workmanship is of poor quality and the layout of the hotel is not practical. So... don't let the pictures fool you. First of all, it is a one story hotel. You have to pass the conference/ ballrooms to get to the guest rooms. Because the walls are paper thin, you can hear all the noise from the rooms, as well as the people walking back and forth to their rooms. Even with the ... Read more

This was a great place to stay! VERY clean, spacious room (Hilton Honor Member), GREAT cookies, friendly service, but the building is a U shape and the elevator was clear on the other side. Any other time this would have been no problem but my husband and I were both in a wedding. We had about 8 bags to carry! We kept walking and finally got there!!!!! My husband and I stay at a hotel at least once a month, so this was a little odd. If you have a disability please note this.

The property has been in decline over the last several years. Room stunk of smoke despite being non-smoking. Room was very dark, dingy - depressing. Housekeeping services were awful. Great Staff, horrible accommodations. Very dated Double Tree. The GM was very kind and accommodating for our stay. He offered us a upgrade because we didn't like our first room we were issued. However it was 4 hours until our upgraded room became available to us. The GM did a good job trying to keep us happy, but the dated facility doesn't help with the happy factor.

As a Diamond Hilton honors member I generally stay at Hilton properties. Driving through for an overnight stay this property was the least amount of points and my points were based on that fact. I had no issues other than the normal Saturday night amateur hotel guests that don't realize others may be sleeping at 1AM. robin was very nice at the bar and the cheese and fruit plate I ordered was more than enough for dinner.

Property must change ventilation system, fans in rooms sound like turbo prop planes starting off; even earplugs didn't diminish & kept me up as cycled all night. Front desk staff weren't empathetic. Only kitchen staff and servers made the difference, for instance extending themselves when front desk gave wrong hours for breakfast.

Terrible experience. Water shut off all day for one of the 3 day stay, when I called to ask why i wasnt informed this was planned when i checked in, I was told there was a letter in my room (which there was not) that I should have known to find and read. I'm not sure whether this hotel was being renovated or whether it's brand-new. The upside, either way, is that it at least looks new. It's clean, quiet and comfortable. The bad news is that work is still going on, and the day I was there, some of the residual odor from whatever they were doing was so overpowering that I had to change rooms. This hotel is below average. There are all sorts of issues in common areas that have gone unfixed for my entire stay, and I'm sure for much longer. Depending on where your room is, it can be a very long walk to the lobby as this is a square, 2 floor hotel. Just about the only perk here is free parking and lots of restaurant choices.
