Clean and friendly environment. It's in a safe location with easy access to the casino and downtown. The breakfast buffet was probably the best ever at a hotel for both my wife and I. They had many different choices for the buffet. The pool was small, but not an issue. Had a a hot tub.

My husband and I took our grandsons here for an overnite during their spring break. Rooms were clean and nice but no fridge or microwave in 2 Queen size bed rooms only King rooms, but microwave in hallway on 1st floor. Beds were comfy. We took full advantage of the pool. The breakfast was really good/ a wide variety and plenty of it.(biscuits n gravy, cold cereals, yogurt, bacon, egg, sausage, cinnamon rolls, apples, bananas, juices and milk and more. Staff was very pleasant. It's off 94 but you couldn... Read more

We stayed here for 2 nights on a weekend getaway with another couple. They were able to give us adjoining rooms for both nights. The room were clean and well equipped. We were on the first floor and the hallway was quiet all night. The shuttle bus to Four Winds Casino was very convenient. The pool and hot tub looked nice, although we didn't swim. Breakfast was good - what you expect from Holiday Inn.

If your heading West and are going through Chicago, Stop here for the night and rest before hitting the craziness that awaits. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They are quiet and updated. You can have a nice breakfast before heading off through the big city in the morning feeling refreshed and ready for the traffic ahead. If you get in early enough, stop in at the local casino. A great place to waste some time and maybe get lucky.

I stayed here last night it was a nice hotel. It's clean. It has a pool and a hot tub and a work out room. The room was nice, nice flat screen tv. Bathroom was clean with granit counters, it had nice soaps and stuff if you forgot your own. Shower was nice and clean. Hotel right off the freeway easy access. Walking distance to gas station and subway and McDonald's all in few steps from hotel. But still clean and quite in good area. Well worth the money. And they offer AAA Discount too..

Not a great value for a Holiday Inn Express. Poor service upon check in, not recognized as Gold member of loyalty program, and not offered the standard gift or extra points. No upgrade offered, and the standard room had a very loud mini fridge that hummed all night long. For the price, not a good value.

Spotty front desk help, dirty elevator, beds have seen better days. The pool was so over-chlorinated we left after a few minutes. The room has an old fashioned air conditioner leaving it feeling damp and smelling of must and mildew. Adding to that there isn't an exhaust fan in bathroom so three people, three showers, steam for days. I wouldn't stay here again.

Well run hotel. I have stayed here many times, alone and with my family. I have always been happy with the condition of the hotel and the rooms. The location is perfect. Just off the highway, you can get around everywhere in the southwest Michigan area very easily from this location. They keep things nice here.

We stayed one night on our way to Chicago and I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the lake. We were able to have a very nice dinner down on the water and walk along the beach (had to drive FYI). The room was very large and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was standard, albeit a bit crowded. The pool and hot tub were a wonderful way to end our evening! Very clean property.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for two nights in late June. We had two families who stayed here, including kids ranging in age from 5-9. The hotel was clean and had a great location - 1 mile from the New Buffalo Beach and a 25 minutes drive from Silver Beach in St. Joseph. The hotel was a great place for "home base" in between the beaches and dinner, and the kids were in the pool both nights and the morning we left. The breakfast buffet was a hit as well - the kids loved the pancake ma... Read more

This hotel is extremely nice, and seems to be brand new. We got a standard king bed (maybe with handicap accessibility for whatever reason?) but it was huge and felt like a suite. Extremely confident for access to Lake Michigan, which is only 3 or 4 miles away in New Buffalo. If you're in the area visiting Lake Michigan and costal towns but don't want to pay $250ish a night for a rental this is the way to go.

We stayed at the holiday inn express in New Buffalo Michigan in June of 2016. I couldn't have asked for a nicer relaxing time! We scheduled a wine tasting that day and came back to a wonderful hotel! I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay here!

A storm knocked out our electricity in the early afternoon, so we packed up our family and headed to this hotel for the night. Our room was fresh, clean and the beds were very comfortable. The stay was so nice that we did not want to leave to come back home the following afternoon. Although breakfast was a bit crowded, the staff made sure no one went without. The hotel is affordable and is also the perfect location from the beaches in New Buffalo and not too far from Michigan City and LaPorte. A... Read more

Recently stayed for an overnight after enjoying a day at the beach in Bridgman. We were two small children and two adults. The room was clean and well appointed. The two queen beds were comfortable and we had no trouble fitting in a pack and play for the little one. The shower was great - plenty of hot water and a nice shower head for a massaging shower. The breakfast the next day was fresh and well stocked. The staff was on top of things. There was coffee/ hot water available all day as well. Th... Read more

Was here with my family for vacation, my mother in law booked rooms, first time staying at this property. Lets see the staff must be having a party in the back or really short staffed because you NEVER SEEN any staff at the desk the entire stay. You had to ring a bell if you wanted them and even then took the staff awhile to come to the desk. Had questions but couldn't seem to ever catch an employee at desk.

Consistent with HIE properties, the room was clean and updated. Spacious room with the usual amenities- comfortable bed and bedding, nice bathroom with granite countertops and everything in good working order. The room was nice and quiet, with a quiet air conditioner. Cheerful staff. Hot breakfast as well as the usual cereals, fruit, bagels and muffins.

This HIE was clean and conveniently located right off of the expressway. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was typical HIE decor. The bathrooms were clean, nice towels, and a great shower though very high shower heads if you are on the shorter side! The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was typical hotel fare but did include individual Quaker Oats cups that did not contain wheat. This is a plus for us gluten free folks. The buffet area was clean and the food... Wonderful experience. The staff was very helpful, the rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel was close to everything in New Buffalo and the breakfast was great! Really enjoyed our experience. I recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

Room was clean, breakfast was exactly as expected (HIE standard). Toilet lever broke, but toilet was operational, and maintenance had left for the night, but had a slight hospitality adjustment, so OK. Mattresses were worn out and terrible. Rate, $110, seemed very overpriced, but it was mid summer on the Lake Michigan shore, so it was one of the lowest rates available anywhere nearby. So, overall, it was okay.

I have stayed at this particular hotel many times, and in fact have reservations again for an upcoming trip. When I first started staying there years ago this was a great, clean, hotel. Lately, it has started to decline. It is very convenient when visiting the nearby Four Winds casino which is why I continue to stay there. The good: location, the size of the kitchen suite & corner rooms, the pool area is nice, and there is a back door which makes parking easy. The bad: the staff is terrible to g... Read more

The hotel is right of the interstate, but heard no traffic at all. Staff was very friendly and helpful when asking about things in the area. Located 2 miles to the beach and about 2 miles to the casino. Indoor pool and hot tub was awesome. Rooms were very clean and breakfast was good! Would definitely stay there again

I have always enjoyed staying at HI express hotels. Beds are very comfortable, but the A/C needs to be worked on in the rooms. Fan seldom worked. All in all- not a bad place to spend an evening. But I can't recommend for a lengthy stay. Very convenient location (right off the expressway) and very close to the casino. I would also suggest they put in walk-in showers and new bathroom floor tile!

At 11am ON THE DOT we had housekeeping banging on our door. Refused to stop pounding until we answered the door. Informed us checkout was 11am. Apologized as they didn't tell us at check in and I usually stay at Hilton Garden Inns or Courtyard and checkout is always noon. Well, every 10 minutes someone kept trying to come in our room! It was crazy. We left 45 minutes late. Wow definitely won't stay here again. You would think with the rates doubled in the high season they could give you a break ... Read more

We stayed in the holiday Inn because we had a free night from belonging to IHG/Chase rewards. When I made my reservation, I was booked into the tower suite. The hotel appears to be newer, as everything was really nice & clean. The front desk was very polite and helpful. Our room was fantastic. We had a separate living area, bedroom & little kitchenette. We will definitely be back someday for another trip to the Four Winds Casino, which was moments away.
