Large, excellent guest rooms; nice indoor pool and exercise room; great breakfast and breakfast area; perfect location for hopping on-and-off the Interstate, going to casino, or enjoying New Buffalo and the beach; friendly, helpful staff; very modern, clean, and well-appointed hotel. It's a little more expensive on the weekends (like $90), but during the week it's usually in the $60-$70 range. A great bargain for the money.

Recently spent a night here. Not sure why it comes in at #8 out of 8, but we found the motel to be above average. Room was clean, heat/ac worked fine, good amount of tv channels, plenty of hot water, comfortable bed. The one area that needs improvement is the breakfast. Unfortunately, the eggs and sausages were cold and inedible. Tables were not cleaned up and trash needed taken out. Hopefully they will fix the hot plate for their hot breakfast items. All in all, satisfactory stay, and for much... Read more

This place is absolutely terrible. The main Indian lady is a complete witch. We had a water leak in our room.. When we called her to come fix the leak (in the bathroom!!!) she was snooping around the rest of our room saying how messy it was (we had a 3 year old with her toys scattered on the floor). The next morning at breakfast we were going to bring some bagels back to the room for my dad and sisters and we got yelled at saying no room is to be taken in to the room.. Then when we asked her for... Read more

We spent one night here on our way to Chicago. If you just want a place to spend the night and leave it is an ok place. Seemed nice and clean to me, which is the most important part. No frills. Bathroom had a hairdryer but no magnifying cosmetic mirror or creme rinse for hair. No extras at the breakfast bar either. Bagels, fruit, toast, scrambled eggs that I wouldn't eat, powdered donuts, and cereal. Warm hot tub (not hot) and small pool. Like I said, sleep and leave, but it did the job.

Stayed here on out way home from Nashville. The room was clean and new. Beds were comfortable and had a newer flat screen TV. There is a free breakfast in the morning - enough to take the edge off and start your day. We were in a room right off lobby. The office door opened and slammed quite a bit through the night - next time we will remember this and request a room a little further away from their front office. If you are heading to the casino, it's literally 1-2miles from the hotel.

Finding a reasonably priced hotel near Lake Michigan during peak season is hard to come by especially if you only want one night. We found our spot here at Comfort Inn. Rooms are typical with comfy beds, nice linens and clean bathrooms. My only concern was I had to turn the AC down to 61 degrees to be comfortable. I think the AC unit may be on it's way out. Breakfast was adequate, pleased that they had scrambled eggs and yogurt. Most hotels are just carbs. I would recommend this hotel.

We booked this room to avoid an long drive home after a concert in the event center of the Four Winds casino. We read through the several reviews of this property and didn't know what to expect. Apart from being priced gouged on the room rate because of a Steely Dan/Steve Windwood concert, the room was fine. Had to listen to the desk clerk phone quote rates that were half of what we paid. It's a budget style hotel and would meet those expectation well. The Breakfast includes sausege/scrambled e... Read more

For a hotel that caters to mostly one or two night stays, this hotel fits the bill. Its clean, comfortable, staff was friendly and it had all the basics that one would expect. And that's what i had in mind since we were to Chicago for the day and returning that night, for one night. Everything was fine until my granddaughter and I came to the breakfast room. The place was packed with people. There was a lot of standing and lines for things that had no food or maybe two or three items left. Most ... Read more

Convenient to the Four Winds casino, & to downtown New Buffalo, where there are some local restaurants. Room was clean & comfortable. Front desk service was average. Typical breakfast things, but it hit the spot. Would stay here again.

Friendly staff, but the room was humid and the faucets in both sink and tub not well attached. Bathroom ceiling light wasn't working. We've been here 3 times and it seems it was much better when it was really 'new'. However it is very convenient, easy parking and decent enough breakfast bar. Sufficient for our short stay as we mostly went to the beach and out to eat.

I stayed in New Buffalo on a vacation with my two sons. We only stayed in New Buffalo for one night, and we absolutely loved this hotel. The staff was very friendly, starting at check in, and the gentleman who was the attendant for breakfast was friendly and very quick to re-fill empty items. The only con about breakfast was the size of the kitchen area. Our room was small but clean and with a great design. We had a wooded view, which was very tranquil. My kids loved the pool and hot tub. ... Read more

I am writing this review because I booked this hotel through for same day stay. Within minutes of booking I got an emergency phone call that made it necessary for us to cancel this reservation. I called the hotel immediately and they told me I had to contact to get the approval for a refund. I called and they said they had to contact the hotel to make sure it was ok with them. said hotel wouldn't refund us. My husband and I will never stay at this... Read more

This hotel wasn't too bad for the price. It was clean. The bathroom was clean and up to date. The room had microwave and fridge. Had nice flat screen. The pool and hot tub were clean. They also had a fitness room was nice. They even had lawn chairs and a picnic table in two different spots, places for smokers. Staff was friendly. And there was free wifi and free breakfast.

The check in was fine, if a little grumpy - maybe bc I confused the CI with the older place next door that looked more run down and did not want a room there - I thought it was all one complex rather than two different places. And it was late. But the room was clean, the bathroom was clean. Small complaint would be the AC was noisy. I would stay here again if in the area, and recommend it to friends who live in area.

The worst treatment ever in a hotel. The staff is very unreasonable and rude. They should definitely revise employing Michele as a manager who has no clue how to treat customers. Don't stay or even try to book there. There are much better choices just across the street.

I booked because of the price and the reviews did not sound bad. For me, the eating area is critical. This one failed miserably. I am an early riser and like to go down for coffee as soon as breakfast starts. In the whole time I sat there, 3 mornings in a row, I never saw a table get wiped off. The eggs were powdered. Ugh. Good waffles. For some reason they put the coffee outside of the eating area, next to the check-in. They are through serving at 9, so the place is mobbed at 8:15 and ... Read more

We attended a couples shower in Valparaiso so thought we'd stay overnight in New Buffalo not wanting to drive home that evening. This was the only place that had a room and it was just okay. Pool area humid and heavily chlorinated. It was not inexpensive and for the money I expected more. Great location. Didn't interact with staff. Breakfast crowded as room very small. Should have driven home.

We stayed here the 3rd week in September and feel with the off season rates, it was a good value. The room we had (317) was better than we expected. The king bed was comfortable. The bathroom had a large vanity and the room had both a microwave and a small refrigerator. Check in was efficient and the staff helpful and friendly. Our room was clean. Obviously the hotel is older but seems in good condition. We used the fitness center. Breakfast was the standard "free" stuff. Only issue I h... Read more

I was very hesitant to stay at this hotel in New Buffalo. I was pleasantly surprised that it was updated and clean. We stayed 2 nights on our "wine country" weekend. This hotel is on the same scale as the Holiday Inn Express or Fairfield Inn (both clean too). I would recommend it for a getaway or an overnighter.
