I was on the 8th floor and had a superb view to the north. The hotel is very clean, the front desk people very warm and friendly. Lots of parking -- I had no trouble finding a place even though a major event was being held in the hotel's very large event facility.

Booked this when taking the 10 am ferry across Lake Michigan - only 2 1/2 miles from the Ferry dock. Beds were comfortable, room was quiet, clean, updated and large. Restaurant in the Hotel was great for breakfast. There was a multiple outlet device on the table between the beds for charging electronics (outlets are a real issue in older hotels) We did experience some issues with the complimentary internet, where it would disconnect and have to sign in again. Internet in the restaurant work... Read more

Visited on a weeknight with my sons because we were having a water issue at home. Very nice and clean. The restaurant is a bit expensive but kids eat free. Pool was open until midnight and the staff was awesome. Will definitely visit again.

We have stayed here a few times in the past when the rate is competitive, always a good stay. It is pretty much what you expect from a good Holiday Inn. Rooms are well maintained, clean, and nice. Only concern is that the "grab and go breakfast" is pretty minimal, so we plan to eat elsewhere. Other than that, our stay was great!

We went for a bowling tournament and stayed here, we had free breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel. There was a nice breakfast buffet or you could order off the menu. I enjoyed swimming in the pool, had it all to myself. We would go back there again.

We stayed here for one night on Saturday, May 21. Accommodations were very clean and all the people we had interactions with were very pleasant. We specially liked Laura in the lobby bar who was a ray of sunshine. our front desk girl was also very nice. We will be back next time to Muskegon!

Checked in and went to our room. Sadly we discovered the a/c unit wasn't working properly. Then after noticing that the counter in the bathroom hadn't been cleaned very well (you could easily see where the previous guests left the bar of hand soap. It was smeared, dripped down the sink basin) we weren't pleased. Went down to front desk and reported what we found. The lady at the front desk said oh no, I'll get maintenance up there to take a look. I then said no thanks how about a different room ... Read more

I love this hotel. It is not the swankiest, or the most expensive but it is perfect for my family. I stayed here for a week and I felt relaxed and at home. The front desk ladies (evening shift) are chatty and friendly. Most of the staff in the restaurant was great (especially Kanica!) and housekeeping was average. Everything in the hotel was always clean and it just felt like the kind of place you'd be comfortable hanging out in the lobby or chatting up the staff. Their restaurant is pretty good... Read more

Overly priced. My stay for a single night here $175. My room was a joke. Trashy. Staff unpleasant. I would not recommend staying here. Very misleading. Never again. I would recommend staying elsewhere. This room was a $75 room not $175.

After reading some the reviews we were a little hesitant to book this stay but were pleasantly surprised. We usually choose Holiday Inn Express for one night stays when available. We had to use our IHG rewards account to keep it active but didn't want to drive back to Grand Rapids for a hotel so decided to risk it. Everyone there was great. The hotel still has its old charm, it was quiet and we got a large upper floor room with a great view. It even had a complimentary grab 'n go breakfast.... Read more

Long wait to get in to room because Miss Michigan Pageant had been there the night before and all rooms needed cleaned. Laundry facility breakdown? and several missing employees? were also rumored to be part of the problem. We were given breakfast vouchers for our patience. Nice! A clean and comfortable room. We used the pool for a good hour and the kids enjoyed that. It was only 15 minutes to MI Adventure. We toured the ship across the street that is parked in the dock.... A good history lesson and a lot to explore. We also took a quick pit stop over to Lake Michigan to put our feet in the water before heading home. Wish we had more time. We will be back.

This may be one of the better hotel stays I've experienced in the past few years. Every single staff person I encountered went out of their way to offer help. The rooms were very clean, food in the onsite Resturants was extremely well prepared and the meeting facilities were clean and ready to meet our meeting times. The hotel assigned a single person to deal with our meeting needs, and he was within an arms reach every minute. Holy recommend this hotel.

We stayed 2 nights to visit Michigan's Adventure and the sand dunes. When we arrived the check-in didn't take long however upon getting to our room, the bathroom was dirty and we wore our sandals in the shower. The front desk recommended the restaurant attached to the hotel so we ate dinner there. It took over an hour to get a pizza and a burger. The server didn't check on us until we were done eating, she didn't refill our drinks, and after waiting a half hour for our bill we went inside and as... Read more

We stayed here for 3 nights. We arrived in the evening for check-in. Employees behind counter were very nice. The rooms were nice and clean. We asked for extra towels and they responded promptly. We received breakfast coupons. Breakfast was either made to order (which came hot and fresh) or buffet. Both were delicious. The wait staff was courteous and efficient. I would stay here again. The wi-fi here was painfully slow. We had to use our own data for anything wi-fi.

My card key didn't work half the time, the hot tub was cold, the vending machines were not filled in two weeks, the business center printers didn't work, the computer didn't work, the employees don't give a damn. But the final straw was when I came into my room at 7:30pm my room had not been cleaned. I didn't ask for clean sheets, but did expect the room to be cleaned up and bed made. Muskegon has some sketchy areas so the Holiday Inn is a good place to stay. Very safe and inviting. There is parking for free. It is a little tight but okay. The room was very clean and comfortable. You could see the water from the window. The breakfast is very good. They offer an amazing deal where you pay just $5.00 total for breakfast for everyone in your room. The breakfast staff is so nice.
