Our family stayed at the Hampton Inn one night to be close to our daughters graduation in Mount Pleasant as I started looking too late for hotel rooms and this was the closest we could get. We stayed in the suite which slept six. Very clean, VERY comfortable beds and nice bonus of complimentary breakfast in the morning. Will definitely stay at a Hampton Inn again.

The Hampton Inn on Eastman Ave. in Midland, MI is very clean - not superficially, but really clean. The smiles were genuine - not just get me through the work day smiles (there is a difference). It is centrally located (walking distance) to lots of shopping and lots of restaurants. The hotel staff provided top notch service from the time we made our reservation until check out! Tonya in housekeeping was genuinely very accommodating to our requests for additional linen and cleaning later in th... Read more

Very overpriced rooms for average accommodations- and the air conditioning didn't even work. Paying almost $200 a night in Midland, Mi is price gouging for sure! Wish I could run my business this way and get away with it.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It was clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I have to take away some points for the air conditioning. Their old units under the windows that make a lot of noise and lack modern thermostat control. Needed to do some work in the evening and found that my chair at the desk was broken. I asked at the front desk for a replacement and was told there was not one but the lovely front desk person awkward new one of the office chair from the back. This was a... Read more

I stayed here the night before a race. Our room was clean the bed was comfortable. I was at the end of the hall which made for a quite stay. Overall I would recommend a stay here it was close to food and basic shopping.

Decent hotel, within walking distance to a couple of chain restaurants and shopping mall. The only negatives were that the air conditioner was loud and that exiting the hotel parking lot was difficult due to traffic congestion.

This stay was very utilitarian. The hotel staff was not as helpful as other Hamptons. It was clean but just dull and some of the expectation of being an Honors Member were not met Beds were very comfortable. At the right price, this is a fine place. Just do not pay a premium. You may be disappointed.

The hotel was clean and inviting with all the fresh fruit. The breakfast was good for a complimentary breakfast. The staff went above and beyond when I needed them to help with a small surprise I had in store for my wife's birthday. They were helpful and accommodating. The rooms were clean but no fridge in the room.

Hampton Inn in Midland, MI was a very nice, clean and friendly hotel. The lobby is large which is important when staying with a large group like we did. We went with our softball team, and even though everyone filled their coolers with ice daily, the ice machines never ran out of ice! The location is fantastic! The mall is right across the street, there's a Meijer, Walmart and many food places to choose from all within walking distance....we drove though! The kids all enjoyed swimming and the ho... I always stay at the Hampton by Hilton when in Midland, Michigan. The staff is top notch and very helpful. The GM Heather Martin is a joy to deal with. The hotel is one of the older ones in Midland, but it is the cleanest and actually one of the better values for the money.

I usually stay at Hampton when I travel. This on was nice and clean as I expected. The difference with this one is that they were super friendly. Everyone from the front desk clerk at 11pm to the breakfast lady who asked me about my day in the morning. Made me smile.

This was my second stay here, but was disappointed this time around. The shower head was funky and a very small amount of mold was starting to grow around the soap dish. I reported this to the front desk, they apologized, and took note of it; however, I expected the problem to be resolved during my stay but it was not. The pillows on my bed also seemed flat and did not make for a great night's sleep. Finally, the rooms do not have mini fridges or microwave that most Hampton Inn rooms come fu... Read more

Lackadaisical staff, no amenities. Spend your dollar elsewhere. This place offers nothing that would cause a feeling of satisfaction. The room was no better than a roadside motel. For the price, I left feeling as though the hotel owed me something, but I chose to not deal with the staff further.

Truthfully, we spent just one night here. We were tired after a long day of museums and Dow Gardens. The only room left had two beds and a huge jacuzzi tub right in the bedroom. Shower was tiny and the door didn't close correctly resulting in a very wet floor. We didn't use jacuzzi...too tired! Room was clean and staff pleasant. Breakfast room was clean but I wish Hampton would offer some healthier choices for breakfast. There's an indoor pool and a basic fitness room. $146.

This hotel was nice there are so many around. I wasn't happy my room smelled like cigarettes but I loved the tub. The location makes it hard to get in and out of but they do have a good selection of restaurants in walking distance.

The staff was very nice and polite. The room was very clean. The free breakfast was decent. They had good coffee available 24x7. The hotel is located near several good restaurants (e.g. Panera, Olive Garden) and shopping is just across the road. The downsides were the lack of a refrigerator in the room, and it was difficult getting the room temperature to stay where we wanted it. Hotel did not provide the room that was reserved online. I received a confirmation when I reserved the room. However, upon arrival the room was not available due to the hotel being "overbooked." Split the family into 2 separate rooms when the point was for us to spend time together. Desk attendant was rude and disrespectful when I provided the confirmation for the room that was reserved. She said she could not provide the room. Did nothing to make their mistake right.

The worst part is , I'm a HHonors member for many years ... don't you think they should have said something about it and not stick me next to the wall they worked on. ... this was one of the best sleepless experiences of my life... thank you.

My husband and I decided at the last minute to take a trip to the casino. This was the only place left with a room and it was the king with whirlpool. Although pricey, we went ahead and splurged since it was our anniversary. They made sure a frig was in it per our request. When we got there the front girl was great, very pleasant. I get that they are remodeling this place not come on! The internet is painfully slow. After waiting 15 mins to send a email I had to finally use my cell phone hotspot. I was scheduled to stay two nights but after wasting all my evening trying to work (emails) I cancelled the second night to rebook at a Holiday Inn down the street. As for the contruction, they should have only charged me $50 per.

This property is undergoing a full renovation and is under construction, complete with closed lobby entrance and lots of contractors making noise all day long. The exterior renovation is nearly complete but the rooms have not been started. The hotel in general is thoroughly worn out, though it should be very nice next spring. The Hampton Inn is under renovation so extensive that I don't understand why it is open. The front entrance is closed, and the signage to get through the hall to the lobby looks as if it were written by a child; an unprofessional first impression! There were crains hoisting materials outside my window with workers crawling around; noisy and lacking privacy. I had the feeling the place was operated by inexperienced people. Hotel was a war zone. I understand re-modeling but to close off the entrance and then block the only other entrance with stacks of old furniture where you can't see the temporary signs is ridiculous and have to weave through a maze is crazy. This had to be a fire code violation at minimum. Also allowing the construction crew to basically take over the elevator so the guests can't use it and have to carry all their luggage up and down the stairs is unheard of. Then you have the crew working late ... Read more

would not recommend. water leaks, water shut off periods from 11a-3pm daily, handwritten signs for entrance, no locked entry that works since entrance is under construction so the entire hotel is open without reception desk to watch visitors, dirty and messy grounds due to ongoing construction. usually a wonderful hotel but while under construction, safety is a risk. could easily drive over nails in parking lot, step on slivers in the elevator, and have unsafe premises. embarrassing for hampton.
