My room was clean and the restaurant was nice enough. I had breakfast 3 days in a row and Carole was my waitress and she was very nice and helpful and the food was good. The one time I called the front desk they were helpful and pleasant.

Attended a convention at this hotel last month and found the staff overly accomadating to such a large group. Everybody friendly and willing to help with whatever you needed. Facility a little older but place kept tidy and rooms clean. Can't wait to revisit.

We drove my daughter and friend back to school , the kids love the pool and hot tub. I loved the kids eat free and drink coupons. The breakfast buffet was great and a good value but coffee was extra. I will stay again worth the parents discount.

Love coming into this place at night on the snowmobile! Just the way the building looks with the lights. Great rooms and beds with real glassware, fridge, and microwave. Nice restaurant with friendly staff. Overall wonderful

We stayed for one weekend night. The rooms were very nicely updated. Refrigerator in the room which was great. Very quiet even though we were facing the busy highway and the parking lot. We ate breakfast in the restaurant and the service was great and the food was good - typical breakfast fare. I don't eat a lot and would have been better off getting the buffet brunch instead of ordering off the menu price wise. I visited the pool, which is a nice size but due to many children in it due to a soc... Read more

This hotel has nice friendly front desk staff. The hotel is mediocre although the puppy made from towels was a pleasant surprise. This was what raised my eyebrows. I hadn't spent my one-night reservation, more so put my bag down and unlocked my luggage when I saw a handwritten note prominently placed on bedside table. A good customer will tip but a tacky one will never do...despite the note. I think it was too cheap to ask for a tip in that manner, so please stop that practice.

Stay here every time I am in town, rarely stay any place else. Close to my business meetings. Rooms are comfortable and clean. They have microwave and fridge, which is nice. There is a restaurant and bar onsite. Nice pool area. My only complaint is that there are no screens on windows. ...rather the fresh than AC. But it doesn't stop me from returning.

This holiday inn is probably the worst holiday inn I've stayed at, stayed at probably about twenty others. That being said it still is a good place to stay for the money. I've stayed many times (10-20). I'm not really sure what it is but there's something about it.

On entering this hotel, I enjoyed the lobby with it's rustic flare. The room was small and decorated as if I was teleported to an episode of the Jetsons. Went to put some bottles of water in fridge, and the previous guest had left a fridge full of stuff and cleaning staff had not checked. No desk for my husband's laptop. The bathroom was very small with barely room to turn around. We were awakened at 3am by a very noisy ice machine. Thinking we had booked Express with breakfast included, it was ... Read more

This hotels is located in close to downtown. Some restaurants are around hotels. The room was clean. The hotel staffs were so kind and they provided welcome cookies. The lobby is little bit small but there are some fruits for guest. The indoor pool is so big good for children as well as adult. Free wifi is available in the room. Good amenities. It was nice stay at Marquette.

This large hotel was sold out during our visit, but the large parking lot had room for everyone and our room was quiet. Altho decor and furnishings were dated, the room was clean and provided basic comfort. Wish the windows had screens, we would have liked to enjoy the fresh U.P. air but it was too buggy without screens! Room's HVAC unit was noisy and old-fashioned, but maintained a steady room temp. Staff, from housekeepers to maintenance to front desk, were cheerful and helpful. Large indoor p... Read more

Located the the fringe of downtown this hotel had it all. We were able to relax, use the wi if and not have to go anywhere for the next 12 hours. We had a happy hour drink and ate in the bar for dinner. The food was good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was early at 630 a.m. Large portions and fast service. Many things going on in town this weekend and the cost of the room was on the room was on the high side.

Clean hotel. Free wifi. Free parking. Pet friendly - you do have to pay an extra $25 per day though if you bring your furry friend. They have a restaurant with reasonable prices. I only had breakfast there and it was good. It's right on US 41 and close to pretty much everything. Would stay here again.

Stayed for 2 nights and it was a very clean, professional run hotel. All staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Comfy beds and great location to the downtown area. The pool is amazing very large and clean. Little noisy being by the main highway but only when the traffic was heavy other than that nice place!!

The hotel is on the M41 strip, near Wendys and across from Big Boy, about 1.5 miles from central Marquette. Our room had two double beds, comfortable but not plush. The rooms were furnished in late 90's decor. A microwave, Keurig coffee/tea maker and a 3 cu ft fridge were also included and a flat screen TV. The room had many minor annoyances. The lamp between the beds had two electrical outlets , but one had insufficient room for a small iPhone charger. The only other outlets were on a power... Read more

Easy in & out to the highway. No reservations on a week night and we were able to get a room on the first floor and by an exit door. Tired from being out on the road all day we did eat at the hotel restaurant. It was OK definitely not busy and only a few more people at the bar which did look nice but we were too tired. Bed was very nice, in room coffee was plenty to get us out the door.

Visited this hotel on sept 13 and 14th 2016. I am an IHG platinum elite member from the UK. We use IHG , and nothing else ! Despite booking this hotel at least 4 months earlier, and despite my preferences registered with IHG for a quiet room on a high floor, we were given room 341 (middle floor) on the front of the hotel. Heavy trucks are travelling along the front of the hotel ALL night . The glazing in the rooms is single. Very outdated. A good nights sleep,is impossible. It's a huge hot... Read more

The check in process was a bit slow due to the volume of people checking in. Overall, the hotel is nice. The pool area is very nice, and the bar and restaurant area is very nice. We visited the bar on Friday night. The rooms were regular rooms. It was nice that they had a refrigerator. I would suggest improvement with housekeeping. Our room... Read more

This year NMU has parents weekend the same time. Our normally good deal at $80 a night is now $242 a night! And if you throw in an.extra dollar you can have breakfast too! The entire stay at a hotel starts with check in, the staff attitudes set the tone for the stay. And the 4 ladies handling check in at this HI we're over the top. Efficient, attentive, courteous and very busy. They were sold out. The hotel is average, perhaps even needing a bit of power cleaning in some areas. Our rooms were clean, beds comfortable. Since that's what we primarily look for in our stays we would have no problem recommending a stay here.

There was a NHL hockey game in town so we were lucky to get a room anywhere in town. Got the last room at the Holiday Inn and were a little worried about paying the price. Made reservation prior to our vacation for my husband and I. We are platinum members and 99% of the time we stay at Holiday Inn. Upon arrival we were informed that we were upgraded to a suite at no additional charge. It was phenomenal - almost a small apartment. Sofa, chair, wide variety of coffee pods, and the bed and pillows - I slept better than I had slept in a long time. What a treat. The staff was friendly and gracious. Our room was in the front but we really weren't bothered by noise.

Spent 2 days here for a class. They have two conference rooms for classes or meetings. It was ok, but there's plenty of room for improvement. I did not check reviews before booking. This hotel is very sad....faded, worn, and dirty. Check in through Kara was quick, she is a delightful person with a quick wit! The room was clean and big enough for us and our 2 grand children. The beds were comfortable, and we ALL slept very good. The highlight for the kids was the pool area. We had fun in the pool and relaxed in the hot tub. Sunday morning's breakfast brunch at the on-site restaurant was great, and the kids liked the cookies....... We'll definitely keep a return to this hotel in the treat jar for our grand kids!
