I made a reservation online for a Double Queen Bed Room, as that was the only style of room available, when I arrived at the hotel at approximately 6:00 P.M. The clerk at the front desk notified me that my reservation had been cancelled. She stated that the reservation had been cancelled due to an alleged non authorization of my card, and then told me the hotel was sold out for the night, I indicated to her that there should not have been an issue with my card, if there was they should have com... We booked two rooms for five people via Holiday Inn Express' web-site - two in one room, three in the other for a family vacation. The hotel itself was very nice, close to attractions, and beautifully decorated. We joined another family of four who stayed in the room across the hall from us. My mistake was not carefully checking the bill when we checked in. As we were checking out the total was approximately twice the amount charged on the Holiday Inn web-site. We had printed the reservatio... Read more

Loved this hotel. Wished we'd stayed here instead of spending the second night of our trip at Zehnder's Splash Village Hotel! Everything was good quality and clean. Large, bright bathroom, comfy clean bed, friendly staff, bright CLEAN and new pool, decent breakfast.. Didn't use the exercise room but it looked good too.

Clean rooms and an awesome staff makes this my favorite spot to stay while in Frankenmuth. The manager remembers me each time I visit which rarely happens anymore. Best of all my wife loves staying here cause the rooms are so clean. If I can't stay at the holiday inn, we won't go to Frankenmuth for the night.

I can't think of a single negative at this hotel. We had 2 adults and 2 seniors traveling together; happily we were upgraded to a suite. We definitely appreciated the extra sitting area, small dining table and chairs and extra sink. The staff (especially Samuel who checked us in) were exceptionally friendly. Breakfast was great - a pancake machine, 2 varieties of sausage, scrambled eggs, oatmeal and cereals, fruit, etc. as well as the usual pastries. The hotel was located right across the s... Read more

Holiday Inn is centrality located, you can walk to almost every attraction. Rooms were clean and was greeted by friendly staff. Morning breakfast was your normal selection at Holiday Inn. Would definitely go back.

Great location - one minute walk into downtown. Check-in was a breeze with no issues. Room was neat, clean, and in working order. Breakfast was as expected in the morning although the pancake machine did not work. Overall great for a overnight visit. Grounds and outdoor seating areas were also well kept and parking was plentiful.

You can't go wrong here at the Holiday Inn express. This hotel is very pretty with a contemporary feel. The staff is very friendly and everything is within walking distance to have fun in Frankenmuth. The outdoor seating is a great relaxing area on a nice beautiful sunny day.

I really like the location of the newer Holiday Inn Express. Being a newer hotel, it's still clean and well maintained. We were located on the first floor between the pool entrance door and the stairwell/outside door and noise wasn't an issue for us. The room/bathroom was clean and still had an air of 'new'. The complimentary breakfast was hot and had a good variety. Things were kept well stocked for the breakfast crowd of a sold out weekend. I thought the price was high at $240 a night, b... Read more

We came to Frankenmuth for one overnight and wanted to see the town. This location is perfect for people who want to walk through the town and see everything. Super nice staff let us keep our car in the parking lot the next morning so we could walk around again. The whole hotel is clean, modern but comfortable, and perfect for couples and families. Excellent breakfast included, as always. The new Keurig coffeemaker in the room is great. A great experience!

Did not have reservations and stayed there. Very nice clean hotel and most of the staff very friendly. Had an unfortunate incident with them after we left hotel. They called us and said we had possibly taken their blow dryer by mistake. We never even touched the blow dryer when we stayed there - I am not even sure if it was there to begin with. Didn't use it mainly because of the water situation down in Flint - was afraid to. The young lady was nice about the problem and laughed it off and asked... Read more

I used Tripadvisor to research accommodations in Frankenmuth for a leisure overnight visit. The Holiday Inn Express and Suites got rave reviews and now after staying there, I know why. First this hotel is fairly new and is conveniently located on the south side of the river directly across from River Place. It is one block to Zehnder's and Bavarian Inn restaurants. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in the quaint and charming German-American town of Frankenmuth, Michigan. It is a very well located hotel, close to all the main attractions and main street and makes it easy to explore the town. Like most of the Holiday Inns here in Canada that I stay at (Huntsville, ON, for example) this one maintains the high standards I've come to expect. Comes with microwave, coffee pot and fridge. Nice view from room 322.. Walking distance from everything from the Bavarian inn and shops and the water. Our family of two adults and one teen stayed one night. We made last minute reservations by phone directly with the hotel and obtained a great price. Overall we were pleasantly surprised at how clean and new the hotel felt. It was not overrun with kids which was a plus for us. If you want a clean, quiet, comfortable place to sleep this is perfect. It is in a great location right across from the River Place Shops. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

I am an IHG Platinum Elite member. I expect a certain level of recognition. This hotel failed miserably. A simple request for a late check out (30 additional minutes) was met with a demand that I leave immediately and someone pounding on my door. I was humiliated and embarrassed. I have a cumulative total of over 1 million IHG points and deserve and demand better treatment. Someone needs to loose their job!!!

On my way to the U.P. and wanted so spend an overnight in Frankenmuth. I looked at several hotels and decided on the Holiday Inn Express. We arrived early and received a warm welcome. We were even allowed an early check-in. The Holiday Inn is a new facility and has an indoor pool and work out room. Our room was clean and very nicely appointed. The Holiday Inn Express is a great place to stay in Frankenmuth. I highly recommend it.

Price was high, but it's right in town and within walking distance to most things, except Bronner's. The hotel is nice, the rooms are ok, but we could hear every step Mr. Stompy was taking upstairs. If you stay, stay on the 4th floor so Mr. Stompy won't wake you up. Cont breakfast was edible, with all the usual crap. Fake eggs, fake sausage-type patties, fake gravy and hard biscuits. We arrived Sept 20th and our room was ready. When we arrived at our door, the door was not latched. An extra hard tug is required to latch the door. Housekeeping had just allowed the door to close normally. I was concerned that Housekeeping would do this again with all our things in the room. As a rewards member, I was given the "green option" meaning there would be no housekeeping during this 2 night stay. That sounded like the safest way to secure our things. The bathroom amenities were Bath and Body Works, including shampoo, conditioner and lotion. The water pressure was good in the shower. .
