I was nervous checking in for race weekend that with the Garth Brooks concert I would only hear slamming doors all night and get no sleep. The hotel must have assigned rooms based on reason for staying because we had no issue with any noise at the hotel. My husband said it was the best nights sleep he had ever gotten at a hotel! The pool and hot tub area were clean, some people seemed to be using it for a get together so we did not stay long with their music in the area. Nice to soak for a... Read more

Good Holiday Inn, rooms were clean and cozy. The hotel is located across the downtown river bridge and makes for a nice reflective stroll into the downtown area. If the weather is bad (e.g. rainy or windy), you might want to take a taxi. Gym is a little small, breakfast was standard, fruit goes for 75 cents in the lobby. Definitely consider this again as being across the iver seemed to save us about 30%.

My husband and I stayed here for one night to visit some of the microbreweries downtown. This hotel is in a great location. We were able to walk to Founders, less than a mile away. The hotel itself was nice, the room was clean, the shower pressure was amazing, though the bathroom was very tiny and the sink/mirror was outside the bathroom which I hate. The bed was not the most comfortable, a little on the hard side, but not too bad. The windows do open a bit, just enough to get some fresh air... Read more

I was in town for a conference near his hotel and stayed here one night. The location is great and really walkable to not only the Grand Valley State downtown campus but also to several restaurants and other downtown attractions. My room was clean and comfortable. The lobby restaurant was a good place for a basic breakfast as well. I'd stay at this hotel again based on this first visit.

Clean and comfortable rooms at reasonable prices. I was there for a conference at the Eberhard Center and stayed at the Holiday Inn just a block and a half away. My room was a standard 2 queen sized bed affair with bath. No mini-refrigerator or microwave, but a coffee pot, iron and ironing board were in the room. We got an amazing rate on Priceline. The hotel was worth what we paid and I wouldn't pay full price for the hotel. The rooms are out dated while the lobby has been renovated. The hallways smelled musty and the room was slightly better. The beds were okay. But the location made the hotel acceptable. If you're looking for a 4 star hotel this isn't it.

The rooms are average size and better appointed than a lot of those in this chain. Comfy bed and linens. Bathroom very small and the guide on the TV wasn't correct a lot of the time but that's really no big deal. The staff was all excellent. Right by the fwy so traffic noise but great downtown location. Right by two museums.

We decided to stay here on Saturday July 2nd. The hotel is nice and clean. The staff is nice and courteous. It was nive to watch the fire works and head right to the room without having to deal with the traffic. But the beds are down right terrible!! I probably would of hurt less if I slept on the floor. We have stayed at cheaper hotels that had way better beds. We definitely won't be staying here again.

Staff was wonderful. Room was small but clean. Restaurant was great and so was room service. With that being said, the walls are paper thin and so are the windows.
