It is in a good location for airline connections. The breakfast is mediocre at best. For being a new hotel, it is already showing signs of wear and tear. The elevator chosen is extremely slow. Disappointing for the cost.

First Impression - I was in Grand Rapids during the week of May 9th on business and we booked rooms at the Hampton Inn on 28th street. Our boss had stayed here before so she took a back way in and at first I thought it was an odd place for a hotel. However, it turns out the hotel is set back from a shopping center near a wetlands area so it is very quiet and during our stay we even saw a wild turkey roaming around. Hilton Diamond member here. I stayed here on two separate stays over a one week stretch. Each time, I had a quiet room and comfy bed. The breakfast is standard Hampton Inn fare, although it is slightly above average..... for Hampton Inn. The price was right and the staff was friendly, helpful, and courteous. Close connection to an easy in and out airport, and an acceptable jacuzzi. About the only complaint would be that the elevator is a little out of the way, but that is minor.

Clean, good pillows, comfortable bed. Quiet, I did not hear airplanes. I was happy with the quality of this Hampton Inn. I did not use the pool so I can not review the pool. I was also in a upper floor not by the pool or lobby.

I have stayed at this property numerous times and am never disappointed. They always find a way to check you in early if you arrive before 3:00pm. The rooms are always clean and up-to-date. Beds are comfortable and the HVAC works well.

Super easy getting to airport. Clean room, great view of pond, easy access to stores and restaurants. Plenty of outlets and good internet service. Bedding was comfy and clean. We'll definitely stay there again.

Very close to the airport which was a convenience. The hotel is hidden in the brush so it could be hard to find but there are quite a few small signs on every road coming into it. The check-in was very quick and efficient. I don't feel like I was told enough about the room / hotel... it was just a quick swipe of the card and they handed me my room key. The service is quick and friendly. The breakfast is the best complimentary breakfast I've ever had at any hotel with super friendly employees. The rooms are always clean with comfortable beds and pillows. The rooms have a great sitting area and work area also. I've been to Hampton in Grand Rapids 5 times and will continue to go use that same one whenever I visit.

The hotel was hard to find. It is located behind Target but the signs are do small we drove tight past it twice and had to call the hotel for directions. But once there the hotel it lovely. Staff sent out of its way to help and even loaned me a phone charger. Breakfast was good. Room was comfortable but the bathroom shower tub was small.

We stayed here for one night for the Grand Rapids Triathlon. Target is next door, and plenty of restaurants 5 mins drive from hotel. Clean room, with comfortable beds and efficient ac. Rooms have fridge and microwave. Great for short stay, in a quiet location. Used navigation to find it!

We flew in to Grand Rapids, arriving late. Although their van was not available at that time, they arranged for a taxi to take us to the hotel. They greeted us and got us into our room quickly. Very nice room, updated and clean. Breakfast was pleasant, with a nice variety of food. They arranged for the van to take us to pick up our rental car and the driver was friendly and helpful.

I stayed here 3 nights with a couple of friends while we were attending a wedding. I utilized the on-line check in and was very happy with how it sped up my check-in process. The room looked brand new, the lobby was clean, and the staff was helpful and friendly. we didn't get a chance to swim or get in the hot tub, but we peeked in and it looked nice. Breakfast was good. I don't know if I will have a chance to come back to Grand Rapids, but if I do, I would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Grand Rapids Hampton Inn. We needed a place close to the Airport and this property met that requirement. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean. The location is convenient and safe.

I ended up booking this hotel at the last minute, and it proved to be a decent choice. I have stayed at several Hampton Inns, and this one was on par with all the others, for the most part. Check-in was easy and efficient, and the room was clean and comfortable. The only complaint I have was that the corridor of the 3rd floor had a damp/garbage odor. The rating would be higher with my visit if is was not for the sticky carpet, mold in bathroom and the lack of attention to detail with the cleaning and bed making. The breakfast was good and hot. Friendly staff, clean pool and Jacuzzi.

A wonderful Hampton except that you have to navigate through a massive shopping area and the hotel is on Hotel Road not on 28th Street. Quick and efficient check-in/out. Nice pool and exercise equipment. Great staff!

This is a standard HI. It is not the easiest hotel to find even with GPS. I was a bit disappointed that I was given the smallest room even as a Diamond member (but was not recognized as one by staff who checked me in) I also was not offered any water or snack.

The hotel was very nice, modern and clean. The room was large and comfortable. There was a nice pool and exercise room. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The only drawback is that it is difficult to find, so some larger signage on the entrance roads would be helpful.

Overall a good property. Not impressed with any of the front desk staff. Breakfast was pretty good and the breakfast area was nice and clean. The gentleman working the breakfast area was great! Great location,convenient to the airport. It is rather difficult to find. Very quiet.

Very nice hotel - our only negative was finding it from 28th street - very confusing. We left at about 4:15 AM, which we understand is very early, but I could not find anyone at the front desk to confirm my bill and to hand in the keys. Otherwise our stay was very nice. One we located the hotel, the trip to the airport is quick (five minutes) and easy.

This is a new, very nice Hampton Inn. Everything was clean, furniture and fixtures updated. Front desk was polite, helpful and efficient. Breakfast was typical Hampton Inn, although I could not comment on the quality as I did not eat. It is a little out of the way when looking for it, but Google Maps got me right there. 22014 we visited this hotel. Since it seems to have gone down hill in quality. Mainly the linens (towels, washrags, bath mats) have gotten extremely thin. The room was nice, the location was fine. The complementary breakfast was very good.

The staff member that greeted me was friendly and helpful. Otherwise, I was not very impressed. This is apparently an older Hampton that has not updated some decor, and is not nearly as quiet as others. I had to turn the air conditioning to about 64 to keep it cool enough and there was still not an option for constant fan, that is something I really appreciate in other hotels. The hotel was pleasant, clean, and in a great location, the breakfast was good, the staff friendly. The only issue I has was with the sink in the bathroom which was very slow to drain. The shuttle service would be an issue, if you are a late arriving patron, so please get to the hotel before the clock strikes midnight.

The location leaves something to be desired. It took us awhile to find it. There should be much more clearer directions, as it is like a maze. But, otherwise, it was delightful. We were very happy. Multiple plugs for our electronics. Good breakfast (included).

I will stay at this location again. Clean and everyone was so nice. The hotel is close enough to walk to restaurants and hotel store was fully stocked. Overall, great clean place to stay in a great area. Thank you. I usually don't do reviews.

I have stayed at this hotel several times but this time the rate for the room was quite high - $185 (incl.taxes) for a Saturday night in Grand Rapids, MI. This was not a suite but quite an ordinary room. The staff was helpful. Our only complaint was with the rates. We stay at Hampton Inns whenever we travel and this was by far the highest rate we've ever paid at one.

I didn't want to leave my room and go to work because the room was so comfortable and cozy! My stay lasted 3 days for my conference and it ended up being a vacation because of my stay at this hotel. Thanks for a welcoming place to stay.

Had to use the shuttle service from the airport. this was a good experience. The shuttle service was right there when we arrived. Annoying blinking light in the room (probably fire alarm) kept me from falling asleep for awhile, as did the light on the thermostat. Other than that room was comfortable enough. Included hairdryer and things like shampoo.

Probably one of the best Hampton Inns. Courteous staff. Very helpful. They always went out of your way to ask if they could improve your stay. Clean. Cleaning staff was attentive to needs. Bed and bathroom were cleaned every day exceptionally well.

We stayed two nights here and it is a great place for business, vacation and family! The room bed is so soft, but it is clean and big! The staff is friendly! I really like the coffee bar and lobby area where you can grab a drink and relax with friends and family! The breakfast is good one and special. Open area for eat, and lots of choice! I will definitely come back!

This Hampton Inn was well maintained, with friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were nicely furnished and clean. Beds very comfortable. Complimentary breakfast tastey. The hotel is near major roadways, making for easy connections to Grand Rapids airport, sites and shopping.

Overall, this was a very good hotel. Staff was nice and the rooms were clean. The breakfast was OK, but there was only one server on a Sunday morning. The location is behind the nearby Target Store, so it is a little hard to find. It is close to the Airport and lots of shopping and restaurants. Overall, we had no problems.

We stayed here for a week for a business trip. Service was excellent and the breakfast was the best I have ever had at a hotel. The cookies were fantastic every night! Room was serviced well daily. Parking was ample. It was very quiet and I slept fine.

Staff and room were great. A little chilly when I first went into the room. I know the GR area can command higher pricing, but felt like this was a little out of line. The location of the hotel was very convenient to meeting location and dining.

We stayed here 3 nights. The room was clean, very spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable! Had an excellent experience. A little off the main road but worth it. It's a quiet place to stay. We'd stay here again if we are ever in the area.

If you are looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay, the Hampton Inn fits the bill. If you are looking for a decent breakfast, travel the 1/2 mile trek to Bob Evans; The Hampton's chemically preserved hot breakfast is disappointing, to say the least. The building layout is strange with virtually all parking and building access being located on one side. The scenic water panorama needs to be exploited instead of hidden. Landscaping, in general, is unimaginative.

The staff was very fast and friendly. The room was very comfortable and the beds are the best! Could work on the egga and sausage in the morning. Did not like it at all. The eggs were almost like finger jello and the sausage tasted funky. The rest of the breakfast was good. Would definatley stay there again though.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel was understaffed. The whole 3 nights I was there, they didn't empty the garbage cans on the floor in hallways once. It was overflowing and garbage was on the floor. The room was not cleaned up to my standards. Great stay! My King suite was amazing and there was plenty of space for me to spread out and work. The room was very clean and the floor was quiet. Check in was nice easy and fast. When arriving late, parking was limited unless you want to park in the back.

Quiet, comfortable, clean, nice hot shower -- exactly as I expected based on previous stays at other Hampton Inns. Only two issues: * My 8:00am wake-up call actually came at 9:00am. There was no reason given for this when I asked on checking out. My friend and I stayed one night to attend a family event. The hotel seemed new and clean, the beds were comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was very good. My only very small complaint was an issue I had with the shower massage head. That being said I still appreciated and enjoyed the shower massage.

We stayed at this hotel for our wedding night. When we made the reservations we ordered the "romance package" and reserved the "king suite." We showed up in a tuxedo and wedding gown. The room was nice, but as nice as advertised, and definitely not as nice as the price suggested. Great hotel, very clean and good staff. No issues and breakfast was pretty good. Little harder to find going through Target parking lot. We had a wedding group rate so the room wasn't too bad but normal price was a little higher than what i would normally pay to stay one night but it is Grand Rapids. I thought the bed was comfortable but my wife didn't care for it. All in all i would stay there again if the price was right.

The hotel is clean and a short drive from the airport. It is close to stores and restaurants. Staff was very friendly. Has digital checkin which works well however you still need to do the entire checkin process at rhe front desk just to get the room you already selected. I have stayed here a couple of times for business and will continue to do so in the future.
