This Fairfield Inn is actually in East Grand Rapids, closer to the Gerald R. Ford International Airport than downtown Grand Rapids. Bedding is up to Marriott standards, towels are generous, complimentary breakfast is generous. Wi-fi is dependable and complimentary. There is an indoor pool and small fitness center.

There is nothing exceptional here, but I appreciate clean and quiet and a good night's sleep. All were provided. The pool and hot tub were above average for a motel of this kind. The breakfast bar was a good assortment, including the make-your-own waffles, but for the low carb dieter it was scrambled eggs with salsa all four days--more variety would have been nice. It was a little strange that three times during normal hours there was no one manning the front desk. Each time, the person came in ... Read more

I stay here every other week. It's fine...convenient to the airport & other amenities. The breakfast buffet is slightly better than average. Book early for weekday stays. It can also be quite expensive.

I am very disappointed in this hotel due to the fact that when checking out I asked for a receipt and was told I had a zero balance because my husband who is a Gold Card Member used an ecertificate. On Monday we tried using our Discover called and was told to call Discover immediately. My husband called and we found out that 2 transaction from this Marriot were placed on our credit card one for $20.00 and one for $30.00 neither of which we used. Every hotel makes you give a credit card so if t... Read more

They didn't have to do this but it marks a simple separation of better service from typical service !!! The pool: each chase and chair has a towel folded on the back rest for you. The breakfast room: each table has that days newspaper and a spiraled pile on the larger table. Oh; the whole place was very clean..our room, the pool, the breakfast area. All staff are there to you be of service if needed. Yes they are pleasant, efficient, caring. Just a step above the rest..even other FFI's !... Read more

I was there for a two night stay. Room was a good size and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Didn't have the breakfast but the room was nice and it looked good. Location was convenient. I would definitely consider this hotel again for my next trip to GR.

Fairfield Inn appears to be cookie-cutter in so many ways, but this one was special due to its friendly, professional staff. Our room was spotless. Breakfast was especially good with an array of fresh fruit and several selections of yogurt.

Love this hotel - reasonable rates and close to everything on 28th. Really nice since the renovations a few months back. Free breakfast is pretty good each day - nothing too fancy but a decent selection of basic breakfast fare. Be sure to get your free water from the desk if you are a premium Marriott member.

We have stayed at this location a couple of times. Clean rooms, great staff, and a great location. Right on 28th Street, walking distance (across parking lot, to Wendy's or Olive Garden), and very close drive to other restaurants, shopping and malls. Just off 28th Street, so you don't feel like you are right in the traffic. Nice continental breakfast, and lobby. We would definitely stay there again in Grand Rapids.
