Despite the issues in Flint with their water, the stay was good. Was there on business and bottled water was provided at the front desk as well as in the room. Friendly Staff and great service. Close to where I was visiting.

Typically I prefer Starwood Hotels, Hyatt Hotels & Love Crowne Plaza Hotels. However: I Was Blessed At The Holiday Inn Express In Flint Mi. Who Knew? Great And Hard Working Staff! They Look You In The Eye When Talking To You. They Are Engaged With You! I Was Very Impressed! From The Time I Walked In To When I Checked Out! Each Person There Made Me Feel Welcomed And Respected. They Were Warm, Courteous, And Engaged. From The Wonderful Desk Staff On All 3 Shifts To The Amazing House Keeping & Main... Read more

Very nice room and good breakfast. I liked that they had free water at the front desk and were generous about handing it out. We had a problem using the microwave and the night clerk came up right away and reprogramed the clock so we could use it, great service!! We will come back to this hotel whenever we are in town. Thanks so much.

Stayed here because we had an early morning flight. They do offer shuttle service after 600am and trip parking. Rooms are ok. Staff was very friendly. Rooms have microwaves and fridges. Pick upper floor room to be more quiet. Left too early for breakfast.

My husband and I were traveling through so only spent one night. The place has a welcoming feel to it. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. While not new, the decor is pleasant--less institutional than many hotels in it's class. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable. We took advantage of the complimentary hot breakfast the next morning which included sausage, scrambled eggs, toast, muffins, bagels, pastries, cereal, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, fresh fruit and the usual bev... I had business in Flint early in the morning and didn't want to make the 3 hour commute I the morning so I drove down the night before and stayed here. I checked in around 10p, front desk staff was friendly and the room was clean so that was all a plus. The room above us was rented and I could hear the walking around of the guests above. I like white noise and a cool room when I sleep so I turned the air conditioner on. It would only stay on for about ten maybe fifteen minutes at a time then tur... Read more

This must be the oldest hotel on the planet, When checking in she asked for my CC and ID and after I gave them to her she wanted to know my name, uhm its on my Drivers License! arrived in the evening to a freezing cold lobby but once we got on the 5th floor, we were blasted with Hot air as soon as getting off the elevators and once we got to our assigned room, the AC unit was on FAN mode, and there was condensation dripping from the walls. Went back down to the front desk was given a different ... Read more

Lobby seemed nice and attended at front desk was very polite. However, Room stinks.. Both musty and of old cigarettes. The bathroom is functional but has a lot of mildewed caulk and cracked titles- just needs a lot of work and updating. Wallpaper is peeling in several places and carpets, sheets, walls have stains. I prob wouldn't comeback here.

I was happy with the breakfast, the unlimited complimentary water, the room, and the internet. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the Flint area. It was on par with my Holiday Inn Express experiences.

We broke up our travels and got here late in the evening! We booked the night before and we got a wheelchair room on the 5th floor! Probably the best bed I ever slept in and I'm a very picky mattress person! Even the pillows were perfect! I was very sad to leave it behind. Everything clean! Breakfast was good. My husband especially likes the cinnamon rolls that are hot and fresh! So great experience all round!

This is the third time I have been in Flint and the third time I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express - and I could not be happier. The staff, the service, the facility - all rate as excellent. The breakfast is plentiful and the coffee is endless - and recently they added afternoon cookies as a welcome upon checking in. I will be in Flint many more times and don't plan on staying anywhere else.

We were passing through so only stayed one night. No issues checking in and were assigned our room. The room was clean and was comfortable. No problems with the room. Was a hot day and the room air conditioner worked great. Breakfast was complimentary and was good. Since Flint had issues earlier in the year with the water supply the hotel provided four water bottles in the room refrigerator. The lobby also had a water filtration kiosk that you could fill up water bottles. My moto... Read more

The room was clean with a comfortable bed. Good shower. Breakfast could do with an update, the sausage patties were bland. Breakfast room was nice and clean. Staff were pleasant. The water bottles in the room fridge were a nice touch. Thank you.

Was in this hotel Friday night -- a couple days ago. We arrived at 8 pm, and the power was out (it had been since 7:30 pm). We were told "hopefully just a little while" for it to come back on. Basically, we were put in a dark room with no power ... hurrah. Finally the lights came on at 5:30 am. I don't mind so much that this happened, because understandably it appeared to not be the fault of the staff. And the person who met us when we arrived was truly doing his best. However, when I went to ... Read more

Stayed here to conduct business at nearby Mott Community College and was so impressed with the above and beyond customer service offered to our team during our stay! Will at the Front Desk went out of his way to make sure we had everything we need to be comfortable and get the job done! Highly recommend!

While in a great location to take advantage of Flint's beautiful museums, planetarium, galleries and theaters of the cultural district, the hotel needs help with maintenance. Upon check-in, my room was a bit worn, particle board furniture was swelling due to previous moisture/humidity, and the bathroom had hair on the sink and stained towels. Shower had damaged tile grout and black mold growing in the joints. Later, both elevators locked up, and had to be re-set. Once (only one was) runnin... Read more

I stayed here for a conference at the museums withing walking distance of thr Holiday Inn Express. The location is kind of weird, and there were homeless people with cardboard signs in the neighborhood, so I suggest driving or walking in a group. This isn't something the hotel has power over, but it is still a point to make. As for the hotel itself, the lobby is very nice. The desk staff were friendly. The room was ok, the AC unit was very noisy. The bathroom had hot water, which was nice, but t... Read more

We booked a total of 3 rooms for a trip with extended family, and while the rooms weren't bad, they weren't anything special either. One room had toilet issues, and the jacuzzi in another room drained extremely slowly. In that same room, one of the bedside lights didn't work, and it was plugged into the same outlet as the one that DID work. As we were checking out, I heard another guest complaining about bugs in their room, and the desk brushed it off as being "that time of year where everyth... Read more

Woke up at 4:00 AM with bed bugs. Killed one and blood came out. it was probably my blood. I saw a total of five bugs in the bed. Had to leave right a way. After telling the clerk to have the manager contact me when I left. It took several attempts to make contact. Then all they would do is refund my night's fee. Had to throw out clothing and suite case. I could not take a changes of bring the bugs home!
