I've been to many different waterparks with my children and this waterpark, by far, has been the worst experience. It was a bad experience from the second I walked into the hotel Lobby. My story is too long to explain so i will just give you the highlights. -Incorrect information was provided to me when I made my reservation on the phone -Poor service when checking into the hotel -We were NOT inform correctly about how many waterpark passes were included in our $250 room when i made the reserv... It was ok been to better one's. Our last day there they closed half the water park down for 15 mins or so every half hour so by the time they opened back up there was a line. The hotel pool was kinda of cold, there was hair along the edge people went and told them and the hotel did nothing about it.

It was a nice hotel and fun waterpark. We got a suite and had plenty of room for a family of 4...lots of space for the kids to be kids. Waterpark was fun. We were there during spring break so it was a little packed. Very loud at night but we chalked that up to kids having a good time.

This was are first time here. Lack of communication though. We lost out on more time in the water park. When I made the reservation I was told the water park opened at 8 am so we could come and use it early even if our room wasn't ready. I saw on their website that wasn't the case, so I called hotel and they informed me it did not open until 4 pm. We arrived at 3:30, our room was ready. I went to check out water park and it was packed. It opened earlier. Granted we still had a good time,... Read more

I was hesitant to book the Cabellas Suite but figured I was looking irking for a relaxing night away so I booked it anyway. Let me say it was worth every penny. The suite had a living room and a bedroom area. The bedroom area had a great deep soaking tub. The bathroom was huge! I loved the walk in shower. The staff was able to accommodate my early check in request. They were very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a night to just get away I recommend staying here!

After reading some of the negative reviews, my sis-in-law and I were hesitant to bring our grandkids here for an overnight stay last Friday. We were very pleasantly surprised, however, with our very comfortable room (2 bunk beds/queen bed AND small kitchenette area!) and with the water park. The older 2 kids (12 and 8) almost immediately ran to the tallest water slides while the 4 yr old jumped in the kiddie pool. Quite frankly, both of us adults had a great time on the slides as well after gett... Read more

My wife and I stayed in the Cabelas Suite (Room 202) during our stay. This suite has a fire place, a mini-refrigerator, two person Jacuzzi tub, king size bed, bathroom with extra large shower, two separate sinks in the bathroom and a separate toilet area. It also has two separate TVs, one in the living area near the fire place and one in the bedroom area. The room was very nice and when we arrived it was clean and well maintained. Our room had no microwave or refrigerator, although we requested one more than once, none appeared. We could have upgraded to a suite (much more money), but people do have budget constraints. Breakfast is another 15 dollars per person, and although coffee was available in the lobby, very often there were no stir sticks, sugar or creamers, and staff did not seem able to find replacements. Hotel is very noisy, parking difficult especially when you come in late at night. Our party's rooms were ... Read more

It took three calls to book. I should have taken that as a sign. Check in lady put callers on indefinite hold and was rude to them and me. The room was clean. It slept six, not enough towels, face cloths and a one inch tall bottle of shampoo and conditioner. Really? Water Park broke down and dirty. The park was only 1/2 open when we got there around 11am. Then, they closed about 6pm. I was never told at reservation time or check-in, the water park will not be open normal hours. The arcade... Read more

My family and I enjoyed a FANTASTIC family 4th of July weekend getaway here. Upon arrive we were upgraded to a room with 2 sets of bunkbeds for no additional fee. The room was spacious and clean. Staff was very friendly. The water park was more than we expected. If you are kidding, and I mean that in a nice way, this would be a great place for you. This hotel certainly has been built with kids in mind. It has a huge waterpark and even the hotel rooms have bunkbeds for the kids. It's kind of cute but as a single business traveler it really wasn't what I wanted to see. Not that it was a bad experience but I'm not a real kid type of guy especially when I have to get up early for business travel. I certainly recommend this hotel for family travel. The hotel... We stayed in a king room with a pull out sofa. The room was large enough for us and had plenty of outlets for our electronic gadgets. (A necessity in this day and age.) The TV was sufficient and the room was clean and nicely decorated. My wife felt the bed was hard and I felt that it was fine. The only thing missing in the room was a refrigerator and a microwave. The price of the stay did not include a breakfast, which is something that we have come to expect when traveling lately, so we were su... Read more

We stayed 2 nights at the Holiday Inn Dundee during a horse show I was competing in about 15 minutes away. The location of Dundee, and the hotel itself, is nice. There are several restaurants within walking distance and the area was nice, quiet and safe. The check in experience was the most unusual I have ever experienced, but that was due to one person at the desk who was just not with it, not customer focused and did not seem to understand we didn't need the "whole story" about everything. The hotel is fine and up to normal Holiday Inn standards. The waterpark is smaller in comparison to other major brands, but still has all of the major attractions of them. The only issue I have, which is really not that big of a deal, is that there is never any towels at the waterpark. Again, not a huge issue but just annoying.

I was pleasantly surprised at the condition and cleanliness of this hotel. The rooms are small but clean and well kept. They are lacking in amenities, however, such as microwave, refrigerator, etc. You can rent these items for an additional fee. A couple of complaints - the beds are not very comfortable and there is a lot of noise from other guest rooms. In general, the front desk staff was very friendly. The location is very convenient and has plenty of parking. The fitness center was extremely... Read more

Took the family here for my son's Birthday. Very reasonable price which included enough in-house credit to feed all of us at the restaurant and an hour of arcade play. the water park was great, the kids loved it. 5 minute walk to cabellas and a few restaurants. Staff was very friendly, food was good and cheap.

We recently met another family for a little getaway at Splash Universe/Holiday Inn in Dundee, MI. We reserved the largest room they offer--1 king, 1 sleep sofa, 2 sets of bunks. YOU REALLY MUST CALL to book with this property. They have a myriad of package deals but the website is difficult to use and does not have updated prices and information. That being said, we had a lovely stay. Our children are small (2.5 and 5) and the water park was perfect for them. My only concern was the "Snack Sh... Read more

We've stayed here 3 times to visit Cabela's. The hotel is a hop, skip, a jump and practically next door to Cabela's. The hotel is clean, the rooms are nice, and the staff friendly. The room we stayed in did not have a fridge or microwave. We stayed on a Thursday so the cost was affordable. If you want breakfast you should include that when making reservations for a discount. The breakfast will cost more if you don't. The breakfast is not worth it. We travel frequently and the other Holiday Inn h... Read more

We booked this hotel for an overnight stay while traveling. I was hesitant to keep the reservation after reading several reviews, especially in regards to noise and disturbances. I suppose I thought what are the chances... I was pleased to get a room at the very far end of the hallway. I thought that may ensure a peaceful sleep. I was dead wrong. Stomping and or jumping on the floor above us, FOR HOURS. This did not stop until almost 2am. I was unable to fall asleep at all that night after hours... Read more

I occasionally stay here to just get away for the night. I never had a big issue in the past but this time was different. Upon check in it took 10 minutes to be greeted by the staff. They were chatting amongst each other about buying houses and pay checks. Then a person at the desk finally acknowledged and said she'd get me taken care of. She was nice enough but it was in poor idea to keep having a personal conversation with the staff instead helping a guest. Also in the past I had been acknowle... Read more

The room and beds were clean and comfortable, and I appreciated that the bathroom didn't have any mold in it. It was also quiet and restful. The staff were friendly and pleasant. On the downside, there is no complimentary breakfast, which is something that goes a long way with me.
