The rooms were outstanding. People at desk, restaurant and maid services were VERY friendly. We had children, and they were in awe of the hotel. The location is great. Near the People Mover, so not a need to use taxi services. The only downfall was the 25th floor restaurant is not open Sun. Or Mon. But, Thanks to this hotel, our weekend was perfect!

I'll start off by saying I stay in hotels one week every month. I have diamond status with holiday inn, which usually gets me an upgrade or at least a bottle of water at check in. This time was a completely different story. My wife, one year old and myself wanted to meet another couple who are friends of ours halfway between our houses, and I had some extra holiday inn points so I booked us a room at the Crowne Plaza thinking it would be a nice place for us to hang out and catch up. I booked... Read more

This hotel was very clean, the staff was very nice, and the location was near everything that we were there for. We were there to watch a hockey game at the Joe Louis Arena - which was steps away. For dinner we walked to HockeyTown Restaturant about a mile away...which was a nice walk past Tiger Stadium. We had a delicious buffet breakfast at this hotel, and the beds were so so comfortable! The view from our window was the beautiful Hart Plaza, all decorated at night with beautiful lights, b... Read more

The rooms are very small and a little dated. They also are in need some maintenance. Short walk to the Joe Louis Arena via the CoBo convention center. Valet parking at the hotel was very convenient. The view from the north east corner of the hotel was nice.

Front desk was amazing. Farrah was very professional and complimenting. Breakfast service was slow and attitude was unacceptable. Room was clean and comfortable. I've said enough. Time to sleep ??zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

The lobby is nice, with friendly complete with a little pantry that sold Starbuck's. We 're on a high floor facing south with a corner window looking over the river and Canada. We were only there for 3 nights for a wedding, the only negative, we left them a pkg to ship out with UPS. Tha package already had a label and was good to go. It happened to be my boyfriend's tux rental he was returning. When we found out they hadn't received it, he called the hotel it was still sitting there after 2 week... Read more

As an IHG elite member I stay at numerous properties per year. Normally Crown Plaza locations are up to date and the staff does its best to provide great service. That is why I try to stay there. Unfortunately this location is the exception. The rooms are quite small and are showing significant age. For example, the toilet seat should've been replaced at least five years ago. It was gross! The service was also subpar. I did not receive an upgrade or the bonus points. If you are used to the IHG b... Read more

I have stayed here before and had great experiences but this time it was horrible and I will not stay here again. To start off they no longer have the IHG lounge or maybe they do and I was not informed correctly as one staff member told me I had access to it and the next day when I going to go another staff member told me they had shut it down. They have valet parking($35 a night)but when you call to get your car some of the hotel staff will tell you that you have to go down and give you valet ... Read more

The hotel lobby was very nice. The hotel staff were friendly. Our room had a very nice view of the river/Canada. The room could be updated. The couch was hard. Was not comfortable to sit on to watch T.V.

Modern clean hotel with great decor and location. Executive King room was very nice with fantastic views. Comfy bed and quiet air con unit. Quiet and comfortable. Everything you need for an overnight stay in Detroit. Only positive criticism I have is that the front desk member may need a bit more training. I was not offered elite welcome points bonus upon check in and upon remembering had to ask for it later. Other than that she was great. We arrived early and were accommodated with an early che...
