Location is in Somerville, 15 mins drive to Copley square and south station, so quite convenient. Experience at reception was mixed especially check out can be more courteous rather than brief and abrupt. Rooms are spacious and good, but bathrooms need maintenance. Found it quite expensive compared to other holiday inn, may be it was week after marathon and occupancy was high. I have stayed in similar rates in the past in city centre so that must be the reason. breakfast, no hot options and coul... Read more

The free parking is terrific and inside the hotel you are transported into luxury. Wonderful front desk employees such as Nathan made the stay a good experience. The problem is the neighborhood. I wouldn't feel safe walking too far at any hour. One other note is that while we had a lovely, quiet room, the wifi was terrible.

I have been staying at Holiday Inns now for approximately 10 years after finding my first stay in Athens Georgia spectacular! Holiday Inns are typically accessible to transportation and at times provide transportation to the airport and local attractions. As well many times they serve up a pretty good free breakfast. Amenities are always good tho the gyms are a bit small with not much equipment. Staff members are always helpful and late checkout is available to club members. I might add that th... Read more

My room was well appointed & clean with a very comfortable king size bed, flat screen TV, free wifi, a very nice bathroom with amenities and large towels. The hotel was conveniently located to my son's apartment near Harvard. Having an indoor heated pool was a plus for me since I love to swim!! There was also a basketball hoop, rock climbing wall and pool table in the pool area which also had lounge chairs. My daughter used the small gym and said it was very adequate. We were there for a weekend convention in Boston. Friendly staff, contemporary decors, very clean pool area with extra amenities ( small basketball court, rock climbing section, ping-pong tables, several cabanas). This is definitely my kids' ( age 8 and 9) most favorite hotel so far! We got a really good deal on

I can tell this hotel has had a major renovation in the past few years. Both the common areas and the rooms are at a very high standard. I must note that adding hooks for jackets by the mirror was a small but very handy addition to the room. A great place to stay that is only a few miles from down town Boston.

Went to Boston for a wedding at the Boston Library and had a great time. We were 3 adults, a 7 year old and an infant. Rooms not so big; but comfortable. Great room service, ask for a crib and other staff and they were very responsive. Robert the shuttle driver was very friendly and nice with the kids and my mother in law. We took the shuttle to attractions and leave the car at the hotel. The location of the hotel is great, close to all attractions by car, nothing is walking distance; but you ca... Read more

Came here as part of a tour group. Despite the fact that it was 4pm our room wasn't ready. To make matters worse the front desk clerk - a guy with a beard - wasn't too concerned about it and almost treated us with contempt because we were part of a group. He also gave us keys to a room that was already occupied and had other people's luggage in it - good thing we are honest. The front desk clerk didn't seem too concerned about the whole matter. We stayed at this hotel for the second time. We were in town for the Boston Marathon and since most hotels in the Back Bay are Overpriced, Holiday Inn Bunker Hill is only a few minutes from downtown Boston by train, reasonably priced, clean, comfortable with a friendly but professional staff.

The lobby was very nicely appointed and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We reserved a King mini suite and the room was huge! There was more than enough room for the 4 of us and all of our stuff. We weren't stepping on one another like we have in other hotels. The pool/game/activity center was awesome. The location is very close (about 7 minute walk) to the T, free parking, free wifi, and a great "sportsplex" with heated pool, basketball, rock climbing wall, ping pong, and relaxing chaises. The hotel itself is in a bit of a seedy area but the room was fine. The restaurant had a nice breakfast and staff there was very helpful. Our problem was with the shuttle and housekeeping. We had a party of 4 people in our group and we always had to call down for additional towels etc. One time we were told that they were out of washcloths so we were given hand towels instead. Good room, far from the center: the shuttle is working bad. You have to call from the center and if you aren't in a restaurant is expensive for foreign people. The Metro is 10 minutes from the hotel. The people at reception are not friendly, and at check out there is nobody at the counter for many minutes.

I stayed here for a conference at Harvard Square. The hotel has a direct bus to/from the square. This was very convenient. Just get and load up a Charlie Card. The room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The amenities were adequate. The staff were pleasant. The hotel restaurant was on the expensive side. We made a reservation for a two bed room online, and they stated that breakfast was free and included. Upon arrival, the front desk insisted that breakfast was actually in fact, an extra 13 dollars, and that we had read their website wrong.
