I love the location. You can walk to the fishing boats and every restaurant in downtown Plymouth. Hot tub. Pool. Pub. Restaurant on site. What else do you need? Great rates too. Most fishing charters stay here, as customers want convenient places that are nice. I've been sending my clients here for years and never a complaint (it used to be the Plymouth Radisson).

Played is a women's soccer tournament in Plymouth at the Jungleplex sports arena March 19 and 20. The hotels closest to the tournament that were recommended by the tournament staff were booked by the time we called to reserve. My sister recommended this hotel as she stays for work. We were so glad we gave it a shot even though it was a little further from the Jungleplex ( only a 10 min ride). So glad we did. It was a much better spot than the hotels we stayed in in previous years. It was di... Read more

Some words to describe our family's experience are inhospitable, unkempt, unclean, uncaring, and uncooperative. Thank you for the fresh wet paint headaches, no trash bins, or tissues in the room. Special thanks to the overnight clerk who was completely uncaring and unsympathetic despite the fact that we were there for a wedding which was booked 9 months in advance.

Booked a night here through Hotels.com, which conveniently did not tell me that the hotel was under construction. After a long day walking around the Pinehills looking at properties, we were ready to get our room and get ready for dinner. When we entered the place reminded me of "The Shining" - it smelled, there were signs taped to the door "use other door", and the place looked deserted. When we went up to the check-in, a man was already complaining that his wife said "their room reeked of s... Read more

The hotel is being renovated from what i can see of the construction done already the updates look really good. The counter staff was super friendly. The cleaning staff went above and beyond their call of duty and were very friendly also. The location was perfect for anyone wanting to see the sights. On my next trip to plymouth i WILL be staying at hotel 1620! :)

Great location, across street & 1 block back from Plymouth harbor. Helpful and friendly front desk. We were warned about renovation activity. Very ambitious undertaking of older, large hotel property, formerly a chain hotel, now going indie. Given (mostly completed) renovated, standard rooms, overlooking pool area, missing some final decorating touches, but fully functional and comfortable. Pool a big hit with the youngsters. Not inspired to have breakfast there, lots of other dining options nea... Read more

What a great hotel, perfect location and wonderful food. I was a trainer that did the Friday workshop. The front desk was wonderful, full cooperation and perfect attitude the ballroom temp was perfect and the technical assistance was right on. We had a large group attending the conference so there was a lot for the staff to do. Ceptah at the front desk was a diamond!

So, I was worried when I saw some of the other reviews as this hotel was chosen for us through an IVLP training program. However, after staying here I can say that it was a really fabulous little place, with exceptionally friendly staff and great service. The hotel was being renovated whilst we were there, but we were not affected by these renovations and the rooms itself were very clean, and well outfitted. The hotel was located in a very central spot, close to restaurants, the wharf and dow... Read more

First off, this stay was in season so every hotel I looked at was pricey. The location was excellent right on water street across from all the popular waterfront restaurants, that is if you made dinner reservations far enough in advance which we did not, but that is another story. The hotel is under renovation, and we were fortunate to have had a renovated room which was clean, updated and comfortable. Nothing fancy probably more inline with a holiday inn express. For our purposes, it suited... Read more

Stayed there in early June. Many rooms still going under renovation which was much needed as we stayed there in June 2015. Nice walk in shower. But towels were stacked up on bathroom counter which did not give much room for toiletries. No lunch served in pub. It is good location so we walked down to restaurants in the area.

We paid for a harbor view. However a boat sounds a horn night and day. I put the A/C on to drown out the noise, but it shuts off at some unknown temperature. We didn't have toilet tissue but nobody answered. So, my husband had to go to the front desk. The bathroom lights only halfway lit up and the shower drained so slow I had to clean it out before my husband could shower. When checking out the woman asked me , what do you want us to do about the boat horn. I told her maybe tell the guest befo... Read more

The room and public areas in the hotel were very nice. We had a pool-view room, so looked out onto the pool deck with a small balcony. I felt the room was reasonably priced. The hotel isn't waterfront but is right across the street from the ocean and a short walk from the Plymouth attractions. The employees were friendly and helpful, letting us leave our bags at the front desk before we could check in. My one complaint is that check-in wasn't until 4 PM and check-out is 11 AM... that doesn't ... Read more

The hotel is still under renovation and our room was really nice! We had a harbor view room with a little balcony. The view was pretty. The bed was very comfortable, lots of pillows & down comforter. Very clean! The bathroom while on the smaller side was nice too. Someone else reviewed that they didn't like the fact that the towels were on the counter top- it wasn't an issue for us bc the room was spacious with plenty of surfaces for all our stuff. There's a restaurant in the hotel but with all... Read more

Very central and close to restaurants and all the touristy sites. The room was large and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was OK. Better to eat out. Wifi was OK. I would like to mention a special commendation to the man who was manning the front desk on 5th July 2016 at 5am. I apologize for not getting him name. He went to great lengths to help me get a cab to the Kingston train station on time. Only 1 cab from 1 firm in all of Plymouth was picking up calls at that hour on that day! Thank you f... Read more

This hotel is in the perfect location if you wish to do the tourist type things like visit the Mayflower II and Plymouth rock. It is within 10 minute walk to both attractions. There are lots of restaurants nearby. The hotel is older but has obviously had extensive renovations. Our room had new carpet, furniture and bed. The room is a bit lacking of plugs for charging and using various devices but the desk has a couple of built in plugs and USB charge ports that were a saving grace. The bathroom... Read more

Stayed at Hotel 1620 on the third and forth of July. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Held our luggage while we boarded a ferry to Provincetown. Great renovations and nice room. Even shipped me my iPad I left behind. Look forward to next stay here.

Hard to give a comprehensive review of this hotel as we only stayed one night and it was undergoing a major renovation. What I can say is that the reception staff were fantastic. We were first given a renovated room, but it smelled strongly of new paint, so they moved us to another larger, very comfortable room. I believe this second room was unrenovated, but it was still a good room. The hotel is close to restaurants and a short walk from the Mayflower II (a replica of the original Pilgrims' sh... Read more

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 6 nights while we vacationed in the Plymouth/Boston area. It was nicely located (within walking distance) to restaurants, shops, attractions, etc. At the time we were there the hotel was undergoing some renovations. We were never bothered by noise, workers, etc. The only complaint that we had was that there was no continental breakfast offered. They did have a restaurant attached to the hotel and you could get breakfast there but it was a bit pricey... Read more

Bypass this shipwreck at the far end of town & stay instead at one of the really charming hotels (with complimentary breakfasts) in historic Plymouth. A cavernous antiseptic space, lacking any historic charm whatsoever, the ambience isn't enhanced by the rock music piped into the lobby. Miles away from the elevator & overlooking a parking lot, our room was situated along a long dark hallway filled with workmen & plaster dust from rooms under renovation; so it occurred to me I wouldn't feel com... This hotel has, in the past, been the showpiece of Plymouth. It is my hope this will happen again. Perhaps, it really would have been a good idea to have closed the hotel during this period of renovation. There are some issues which have existed for a very long period of time such as the miserable dirty carpet in the hallways which has gone through an array of hotel owners. The small guest rooms seem to be fairly well renovated so I would think the carpet could have been taken up and replaced. ... Read more

Stayed here for a few nights last week as part of a convention with our small children. The location is very convenient to restaurants on the harbor and local shops. The beach is a short drive, but for us that was perfect. The indoor pool is a nice touch as well. We were able to stay in one of the renovated rooms, which made a difference. Would suggest when booking to try & get one of those. There is construction throughout the hotel, but that didn't affect us at all. I am looking forwar... Read more
