This is a conveniently located Marriott right off the highway but is quite dated. The room rugs are shabby, the bed and pillows are extremely soft and the bathroom vanity is strangely low. It is perfectly adequate for a couple of nights stay but could really use some upgrades

Pros - The Staff here is absolutely fabulous. The room was very clean. The towels here at the pool and in the bathroom were nice and x-large in size. The hotel is in a great spot and very close to mystic aquarium. The pool area is kept nice and very clean. It also has a convenient bathroom right at the pool area. Cons- Although I will say the hot tub was on the warm not hot side and the pool water was not as heated as other places that I have stayed. They could definitely turn up the heat to the... Read more

This is a nice older property and I imagine that it could be upgraded or maybe it will be soon. The rooms were a little outdated. But everything was clean and find. Certainly an adequate night's stay. The pricing was pretty standard for the area. The service was very friendly. And maybe it's about 30 minutes or so away from downtown. Nice quiet location in an industrial park.

This is one of the better deals for either exploring North Shore or getting into Boston. Stayed here perhaps 1/2 dozen times now. WAY cheaper than in town. Free parking (but crowded during weddings, etc.) Watch out exiting left onto Centennial during rush hour!! Sort of a blind spot left and right. Folks fly off the highway 28 exit. Staff is friendly and capable, able to respond to odd issues that affect every traveler from time to time. Only a few glitches with business office's ancient printe... Read more

I took my mother for a night to this Marriott. The front desk couldn't have been nicer. The room was well appointed and very comfortable. Spent early evening having a snack and something to drink in the lobby. Waiter was spot on and very friendly. Slept well in the comfortable bed. Had the buffet breakfast in the morning. Loved everything about the buffet. Great selection and all tasted great. And the breakfast staff couldn't have been more accommodating. I can't recommend this hotel enough. Wil... Read more

Stayed here 3 nights in a business trip. Location is very convenient from I95 and 128, easy to get to. Room on 6th floor was average size, with comfortable king bed, decent desk and tv. This room had a small couch, nice looking, not particularly comfortable. Big window, which was nice with good weather to look out on the woods in the area (my room faced the back - I recommend it. Marriott hotels always are comfortable and clean. Mattresses and pillows are nice and got a good night sleep. Room was quiet - didn't hear any noise from roadways or corridors and the hotel was full. Didn't use pool, but the looked in the pool area and it was small but welcoming. Also, there is a hot tub, which isn't mentioned in the TripAdvisor description. Both pool and hot tub have special chair lifts to enable wheelchair bound guests to get into the water. I have never seen one of thes... Read more

We booked this hotel last minute for 4th of July trip as everything else seemed to be booked. The staff was corteous and friendly and they provided everything that we needed. We recently stayed 2 nights at the Boston Marriott Peabody while visiting nearby Salem. It is cheaper than the Salem hotels and about 15ish minutes away. There is food available very close by - a Dunkin' Donuts right down the street, as well as a pizzeria. The mall isn't even too far. The rooms were fine - but with 2 double beds its was a little tight for the 4 of us. We didn't use the pool or eat the breakfast (which was not included). We've stayed at Marriotts in the past (specifically in Sunrise, FL). It is very clear that their market is geared toward the business traveler. Which is fine, but leaves a lot to be desired to the pleasure traveler. Some examples are: (1) the lack of in-room safes, which I don't undersrand at all. It is a low-cost item that would go a long way toward the guests feeling secure. The hotel insists that you can leave valuables at the front desk. When I left my passports at the front desk in S... I was surprised at a at least one bad review complaining about little details. No the Concierge Lounge isn't huge, but it was quite adequate. Yes, rooms are standard Marriott of that vintage and the layout is identical to one in Portland, ME (Sable Oaks). The people were nice, room was spotless, and they accommodated my few requests. I would certainly stay there again.

Thoroughly enjoyable Friday evening stay. Comfortable, clean, attractive, and quiet room. Good breakfast. As Marriott Gold we got a top floor room and vouchers for a continental breakfast, with an option to get a full breakfast for only $4. Convenient to the North Shore. The staff was wonderful. It was our anniversary and Megan at the desk comp'd us a nice bottle of H3 Cabernet. Thank you!

Stated here one night for business because Boston prices were ridiculous. This is a standard full-service Marriott. Room was clean and well appointed. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I'm a Marriott Platinum so was able to use the concierge lounge, which did not open until 6:30AM. Food in lounge was cold and not very appetizing. Bottom line is this is a fine hotel, just have reasonable expectations on the lounge.

Dingy and disappointing. Rooms smell musty like a basement, very cramped and not kept up well. Landscaping was not inviting at all and had a horrible view of a shrub...literally. Intended to stay 3 nights but decided to just stay the first, then moved to a better hotel in the heart of Salem Mass. Wouldn't recommend if your used to nice Hotels. Have been to other Marriotts that were AMAZING. This was just not one of them sadly.

Nice location for business. Renovated lobby is nice. Rooms have not been renovated yet. At least not the ones I've stayed in. Decent hotel, but a little aged. Concierge lobby was average. Once the rooms are renovated, I'll update my ratings. I give it an average rating compared to other Hilton hotels. Many have been renovated and are too notch. This will be as well, as can be seen with the lobby renovation. Friendly and helpful staff, easy access, good location.

I often travel wot Wakefield for business in the past few months. I have stayed at this hotel multiple times now. The hotel is reasonably clean, not not overly modern. Could use an upgrade. We had to attend wedding in a very hot week of August and this was such a pleasant experience. The a/c worked beautifully, beds were super comfortable, and our baby slept great! The hotel is very clean, staff is very friendly, and surprisingly the restaurant is very good as well. Wings were some of the best I have had and chicken salad was fresh. We booked it on a whim as it was near the wedding, but couldn't be happier and will stay again if we are ever in the area.
