The staff in the lobby and breakfast area were friendly. The breakfast was decent- I enjoyed a waffle, cinnamon roll, fruit, and yogurt. The towels and wash cloths were soft but the bed wasn't very comfortable. The bathroom wasn't very clean when we checked in but I bring cleaning wipes and took care of that. Our room was near the staff door at the end of the hall nearest the lobby so it started getting loud around 6am. Biggest complaint: I had booked the room through a discount website and p... Read more

Needed a place to stay overnight between Worcester and Newburyport. The hotel was near the highway but far enough to not hear traffic noise. It was clean and comfortable. Included breakfast was standard fare but well prepared. Staff was friendly.

Very - Great Staff, very good Breakfast, but the hotel rooms are tired, I believe bedding is being changed out, bed is too soft, desk chair will not stay up the seat just drops down after you sit down on the chair. Lighting is very good and plenty of plugs. Very good Hot Water, rugs are clean and not worn... Very quiet, but price does not match the hotel, over priced.

The Holiday Inn Express is a good hotel and not so expensive. Is near of Lawrence and about 40 min to Boston. The beedroom have a good space, clean and confortable. Have a typical american breakfast. The hotel is near of a Mall and is easy To find stores like Dunkin Donuts, Gas Station and Supermarket.

Rooms are well laid out and bathrooms are good sized. Everything is functional and I had a good sleep. Breakfast area by the lobby is also open and airy. Staff are friendly and efficient. My only negative points are that the window in the bedroom is small so there's not enough natural light, and that rooms don't come with a refrigerator or microwave oven. You'll have to come down to the breakfast area to use one. I like the modern coffee machine in the room, and the fact that breakfast is includ... Read more

While the building is a bit old and in sore need of some updating, the gentleman at the front desk was super pleasant and helpful. It's a great location, right off the highway, and does the trick - although the bed was a bit hard and I found a long blonde hair on the pillow. I happen to be a brunette with curly hair, so I know it wasn't mine! The breakfast was present, but lacking: once food disappeared, it took a while for it to be replenished. The thing that was the most disconcerting was th... Read more

We called the morning of our stay to book a room. We had a coupon for $90 (rooms reg $176 that night) and the reservation agent said that a hold for the full price will go on my card and once we get to the hotel we can show the coupon to get the discount. We arrived at the hotel at 10 pm after 9 hours of travel, only to be told we did not have a reservation. I showed the front desk our confirmation email with the reservation number. He looked it up and said our reservation had been cancelled,... Read more

This hotel is convenient to I495 and I93 as well as other major routes in the area (114, 28, 133). Boston, Salem, Portsmouth, and Kittery are all a short drive away. The general manager was born and raised in the area and can (and will) tell you everything you could possibly need to know about the area. The staff is accommodating as well. Our first room smelled of cigarette smoke and the front desk attendant switched us to a new room and brought up a bell cart to help with luggage. It isn't ... Read more

I was with my son on a hockey tournament and his skates needed repair. Steph and Makayla went out of their way to help me fine a place at 6:00 when stores closed at 7. They were a tremendous help, going out of their way to help us. I am thankful for their kindness and would highly recommend this hotel.

Every year my husband and I go to North Andover for the 4th of July. It is not a long trip for us, but we want to visit with the relatives and don't want to have to leave early to go back home. So, we always stay overnight if the 4th falls on a weekend where we can take advantage of it. This used to be the Hampton Inn. It is very convenient because it is right off 495. So when we go up to visit, we ask to have a 'early check-in" and then we can drop the bags and continue to our destination. Now ... Read more

Our stay was a simple overnight stop on our way North. Exiting the Interstate tired and bleary-eyed, the hotel was a little harder to find than it should be. Low, one foot by three foot signs pointing the way between the Friendly's and the Dunkin Donuts parking lots are all the help you'll get. Just slip in between the two fast food joints and you'll see the HIE. The hotel is about what you expect for an older HIE that just meets the corporate standards. The IHG web site describes the forme... Read more

The hotel could be a little tricky to locate but myGPS took us straight there without any problems. However, the on ramp to 95 is next to the hotel so getting back on the highway is easy. Very courteous staff. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. Rarely can you get bacon at a hotel continental breakfast, but you can along with an omelette and fresh made pancakes!

My mother and I attended a concert in New Hampshire, and I chose this as a nice spot between the venue and Logan. They were kind enough to check us in early at noon, as our flight arrived in Logan quite early. The room as great. I used the fitness room. One of the treadmills didn't work as far as I could tell, and the safety keys were missing from both. There's a Friendly's and a Dunkin Donuts in front of the hotel. My wife and I are currently at the hotel. We are staying on points arriving late last night. Check in was seamless and efficient. The room is clean and well maintained with a comfortable bed. The breakfast is typical for Holiday Inn Express in that it is filling, plentiful and average in quality. It may not be gourmet but for the price (free) it is superior to some that I have had to pay for. The staff are all very polite and have been quick to assist with any requests that we have had.

Looks like this hotel is caught in a downward spiral, but I was shocked when one of the staff took out her anger and frustration on me and my kids. We arrived late, at 10pm on a Friday night. I had confirmed two double rooms the day before for my son, 17 and daughters 15 and 13. I was surprised when I was told that the hotel had already filled all of its double rooms and that the four of us would need to share two single beds. Mix ups like this happen sometimes when staying at hotels, but I h... Read more

Hotel is a little outdated, but will be getting a huge renovation very soon. Regardless of the rooms having an older feeling, it's still a comfortable place to stay. Unfortunately the wifi is exceptionally bad (though will be upgraded with renovation), but having free HBO makes up for it a little bit. If you have kids i'd say it's the best excuse to get them to do family activities. Their free breakfast is especially good quality compared to other hotels we've stayed in, many pastry options that... Read more

Slightly dated furniture with no frills. Has everything you need in a hotel room. Can be slightly noisy if you have a room facing the main road. A continental Breakfast is complimentary but not very appetising.
