We were just out for the UMASS Amherst graduation and the Hampton Inn was perfect for what we needed. It's a few miles away from campus, but that actually worked to our advantage as we were able to get away from all the traffic. The rooms were what you would expect and the service was great, professional and courteous. Fresh breakfast every morning and coffee all day and night. Overall, a nice location (you're only a mile from downtown Northhampton with lots of shopping and dining) and a nice st... Read more

Graduation weekends in Amherst are not going to be calm or inexpensive, thus we paid top dollar for our rooms and found congestion everywhere we went. That said, this place is right around the corner from EVERYTHING to do with the 5 colleges, yet it was quiet and peaceful each night. With breakfast included, mornings were manageable. With ADA style rooms, we did not worry about grandma every minute. With the little business center we printed out postage and taped up box-loads of dorm stuff to sh... Read more

We were attending a function in the area and this hotel was perfect. Clean, comfortable, close to the event. The complimentary breakfast, the helpful staff, and the guest parking were also plusses. The room was well-appointed and comfortable. We needed the iron and it was easy to set up and use.

The rates were a bit high for this weekend but this is my favorite place to stay. They added graduation amenities such as water and a snack as well as some cute favors. This has been my go to place for the 4 college years.

Although I reserved and signed into two rooms, the front desk most have made a paperwork error. I was contacted by the front desk and the manager and told I did not have two rooms. I was locked out of my room at one point in the day, and my daughter was later locked out of her room later that night. After talking to the manager and seeming to have resolved the issue the woman at the front desk turned her back and walked away from me when I asked if everything was now OK. The inconvenience and... Very good value for price. Good location for colleges. Staff helpful, and courteous. Bathroom clean and large. Handhold on bathtub! Exercise room accessible. Quiet location away from highway noise. Breakfast was complete with fruit, waffles, cereal, and eggs and bacon. Good coffee, and decaf, and tea.

We stay at Hampton Inns all the time (4 on our New England trip last week), and they are reliable. This one was quite nice, except that the food-prep area in the breakfast room was quite small, would be very difficult at crowded times. And offerings were not replenished very efficiently most days (varied greatly during the 4 nights of our stay). Rates are reasonable except on weekends when there are events at local colleges, then it's very high (but so is everywhere else that would be comfort... Read more

Clean rooms, nice staff and really good breakfast. Pool chemicals too strong. A bit pricey and we booked 5 rooms and felt we should have received a much better price. Lobby served as a very nice gathering place for late night pizza.

Overall we were quite satisfied. Each staff member was excellent and tried to be as helpful as possible. There should be copies of a local map available for guests. I like the phone chargers in the room and outlet next to the bed. Parking was easy and convenient. The breakfast has a nice assortment of items and was appreciated. Would have liked to have seen a simple cheese omelet instead of a western omelet, but, that is a personal vegetarian choice. There is a sticker in the bathroom to ... Read more

I stayed here solo for business for 2 nights (Wednesday/Thursday night). I was checked in fairly quickly although the desk clerk did have a computer issue which was remedied in a timely manner. I also checked in about 90 minutes prior to official check in with no issues. There is not a fridge or microwave in the rooms by default but I believe you can request they be brought to your room. They offer green practices for towels in the bathroom. I did not see any literature for green options with t... Read more

I stayed at the Hampton Inn Hadley while visiting in the Amherst area. The property is 3 minutes off of I-91 and is about a ten minute drive to the center of Amherst and a similar distance to Northampton. It's a relatively new property, so there are no real surprises there. I found the service to be very good (they accommodated a late check-out without a fuss) and the rooms were well maintained. There is plenty of parking (much of it shaded) and it's easy to get on and off Route 9, which is the ... Read more

The purpose of our trip was to take my high school son to visit Hampshire College. I enjoyed everything about this hotel and would stay here again. The room was nice and comfortable. The lobby and dinning area were well maintained. The breakfast was good. The price was reasonable. My son, a high school athlete, used the work out room and pool which he said met his needs.

The hotel was perfectly fine. The rates are clearly increased twofold when there is a wedding at the Hadley Meeting House next door. For a Hampton Inn more than an hour from a major city, you'd expect to pay $100-$120/night ($150/max). $210 was pretty ludicrous. The hotel was roomy enough, bed was comfortable. Bathroom was plenty serviceable.

Okay so this Hampton is basically like all the others, high quality... I just had a couple of negative experiences. First, I was doing naked yoga around 11am my first morning there. Housekeeping knocked and I hollered to them that I was not interested in their services. They knocked again and I yelled almost at the top of my lungs, that no I did not want to be disturbed. This lady opens the door and I swear she caught an eyefull of my wedding tackle... I screamed at her to leave and she did but ... Read more

The gym was run down (not everything worked) and It was almost impossible to get the room to be pitch black as the curtains did not line up. But the service was very attentive and the all day coffee was a nice surprise.

Hampton Inn is always a reliably clean and pleasant experience. Nice staff and very comfortable beds. The Hadley HI is no exception. It's a little far from 90, but the area is quiet, and has a few convenient restaurants. We ate at a cute coffee shop with very good food. Nice stay, if brief.

It's a bit hard to find this hotel as it is tucked just off route 9 behind a small group of shops. It is a fine Hampton Inn hotel and maintains the Hampton Inn brand of cleanliness and quality. Vacancies understandably fill up quickly, especially during peak seasons. The rooms are nicely furnished and very clean. Our king Studio.had a refrigerator. Breakfast is included. We traveled on a whim to MA just to get away for a couple days. We decided that morning, and were able to book online AND digitally check in prior to even leaving our home 3 hours away. IF you are not in HHonors, def sign up. Love knowing where our room is in the layout of the hotel! Our kids loved the pool, though we were sad there was no hot tub :( The complimentary breakfast offered a decent variety, sure to find anything you'd like. Our one night stay was worth the trip.

We arrived at the Hampton Inn-Hadley MA on Aug. 19, 2016 to attend a wedding. We entered the hotel and told the front desk that we had service dog (Shelton) and the attendant so fine. The desk person did not ask for documentation, which we had and would have gladly provided. The next day we left for the wedding around 5PM. This is a very nice Hampton Inn, located close to both Mount Holyoke and Smith Colleges, and also very convenient to UMass-Amherst, Hampshire College, and Amherst College. With direct access on to Route 9, you are close to restaurants, stores, and shops (all the stores your college student will need for last minute move-in items). The staff is really friendly and helpful, and the setting is nice and quiet. We have stayed here several times and have always had a good experience.
