The beds are not very comfortable and there is enough light let in through the cracks between the door and frame that you can make out most of the objects in the room at night. The pillows are also very crinkly. I had to sleep with my hand under my head to lessen the noise of the pillow. Also the part of he hotel we stayed in was more like a motel- minus the convenience of being able to go as the crow flies to the room. Instead we almost got lost trying to find it and have to zigzag through the... Read more

Clean and comfortable. Breakfast is available and is good but a little pricey. Couldn't figure out how to work the heater/AC in our room but temperature was ok while we were there. My sister used the fitness room and said that it was basic but served the purpose.

Helpful staff at this Holiday Inn make up for a somewhat run-down building. On the down side: the bathroom needed new fixtures and a new fan, and the AC in the room didn't do much. On the up side: the front desk clerk checked me in in under 60 seconds, the folks in the breakfast room were quite friendly, and the man who did the conference set up worked hard to get everything right. (Alas, the equipment was only so-so.)

Stayed two nights at this hotel for a family event. They let us check in early with any extra charges, Front desk staff was very friendly and felt like they were glad to help. Upgraded us to corner room which was very clean and roomy. The Hotel is next to 128 but you don't really hear any highway noise. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast is not included and a little pricey. Pool was heated and very clean. Staff was checking the water while we were there. Property is well maintained... Read more

This is a well maintained property with and friendly staff. The room and bathroom were clean. The breakfast buffet was good and the staff very helpful. The on site Asian restaurant was excellent. The property is across a highway from a mall with many food options and good shopping. The hotel shuttle with take you to a MTA stop or the wonderful close by Arnold Arboretum

My husband and I needed a room close to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center for a procedure. The Holiday Inn in Dedham was perfect. Because my husband is a Platinum IHG Points Member, we received a room upgrade, which we appreciated so much. The hotel is very nice for an older hotel. (I'm not sure how old.) Our 7th floor room had many stains on the carpet, otherwise clean. I was happy to see they did not use a comforter on the top of the bed. (That always grosses me out!) Holiday Inn Boston-De... I did not enjoy my stay here. Hotel is old and has a stale smell to it. The rooms also smell and are mediocre at best. The staff and managers are NOT friendly i.e. no greeting upon entering the hotel. I am a Travel Consultant and would not refer this hotel to any of my clients.

The stay at this hotel was a nightmare the time of check in and unfortunately I have to continue my stay here until the 8th, due to the fact that there are no vacancies in other nearby hotels. Hospitality is not what they serve up here. Upon checking in the hotel staff on duty served up attitude and did not explain charges that would be held on my credit card for incidentals nightly with no explanation of this upon checking in. Then when I asked the gentleman an explanation of these charges he... Read more

My room was clean and comfortable. Bed was a bit soft. The staff were gracious in accommodating my (very) late check-out request. A large shopping center featuring a giant Whole Foods market along with other upscale stores is across the street (about a ten-minute walk), and a Walgreens drugstore is next door. Complimentary shuttle service from/to the Braintree "Logan Express" commuter station was excellent. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. My biggest gripe was that there was no complimentar... This was the third time I've stayed at this location over the past 3 years. Each time it seems like the condition of the hotel has deteriorated. Check in went fine. The desk staff was pleasant and courteous. My family (4 persons) received a voucher for breakfast merely by asking. The room originally assigned was dirty and musty, and you could tell as soon as you walked in. The carpets were dirty and i need of a good shampoo. This was in the tower building. We were on a vacation through New England with our last stop being Boston. We had planned to stay 4 nights at the French Welcome B&B. When that fell through (long story - no one home when we arrived), we found the Holiday Inn and stayed there instead. Excellent decision. We were a bit down about the b&b, but Luis checked us in and made us feel very welcome. I travel to Dedham for business very few months. Each time I stay at this hotel I am so pleased. The front desk staff is incredible. The rooms are always clean and quiet. The beds are soooo comfy. I always wake up refreshed! I love the breakfast and the staff is most of the time quick to refill or say hello. Amenities are great for the space given. Plenty of parking. I love my stay each and every time!

We stayed here three nights in July. Our rooms were not ready when we arrived around 4 pm. The front desk staff worked hard at being accommodating, friendly and helpful while we were there. We stayed in the older part of the hotel, so rooms were simply ok. The pool area is nice, and breakfast was always good--more than a free continental breakfast. The Bamboo restaurant is also quite good. The hotel isn't fantastic, but it is comfortable, and we would stay here again.

Our stay in Boston was brief to attend a family funeral, we were made to feel very welcome by the check in staff at the Holiday Inn in Dedham. They were professional while warm and engaging. Our room was clean and comfortable albeit the noise from the neighboring rooms and an enthusiastic shower singer could be heard in the vent in the bathroom. I would recommend this hotel for anyone not wanting to stay in Boston proper and avoiding the constant traffic problems it presents. Walking distance ... Read more

My family and I were visiting another family member in the hospital nearby. We needed to stay in the area so we Reserved and were Confirmed for two rooms. Several hours later we receive a phone call from the property that they are not able to honor our confirmed reservation. So if it is important that you actually get a room, don't reseve here as the hotel management is obviously not conscientious with property availability and how to take care of Reserved guests.

The hotel was OK but their shuttle service was not what is expected, Checked in to the hotel and had their shuttle take us to the nearest train station to get into Boston. When we returned at 9 pm we called and waited 1 hour for the shuttle, that never came. We called the hotel 4 times and they always had an excuse. Since we were not near any bus stations we had to walk back to the hotel in the dark on unlit streets. The desk person, Luis Castello, tired to make excuses and gave us some money of... Read more

The walls were dented. There were not enough outlets and so extension cords were on the floor, We could hear the couple in the room next door. I use a wheelchair. Small hotel, yet the reception guy (Luis) really is an expert and makes you feel home. You would love the place from just this guy. The rooms are clean, nice coffee and breakfast is ok. Housekeeping isn't that great but ok. Nice parking with lots of places, easy access and very close to shopping mall, pharmacies and a very fancy cinema.

This obviously has changed hands several times over the years in my opinion. The front desk staff are TOP NOTCH and willing to help at every turn. Food on site isn't "bad" but there are better locations nearby. Rooms were "dated" and "internet" service was a nightmare. We went to a concert about an hour from home that we knew would end late (midnight). Due to traffic getting out of the venue, we decided to stay at a hotel and take the next day off. Pricing was sky high near the venue so we chose this Holiday Inn. The bed was comfortable and the room was nice enough. An average standard hotel room. This was our first trip to Boston. We arrived on Saturday afternoon and checked into our room very easily. We had a tour of Boston and Fenway Park scheduled for Sunday. Driving in Boston is something that is different than any where else in the US. Luis at the front desk was a lifesaver. He took extra time to give us driving and walking directions to all of our planned activities. Without him it would have been impossible for us to do what we had planned.

My company had a conference at the hotel so I stayed the night before. The price was right for the conference and that's why we booked it. The food and service were fine, but the hotel is tired and well used. For the most part, the staff did everything we requested except for remembering our small details like coffee available right away and sending tables up to the buffet in groups - we had to do that so everyone didn't hit the buffet at once. I booked on an Employee Rate, so what can I expect, but the Hotel was dirty. It wasn't what I expected simply because my Holiday Inn Express & Suites is much nicer. The staff (Susannah) was very helpful, and I enjoyed her enthusiasm while helping us out. Had to be moved on the first night, because room was unsanitary. I won't stay again until Midland Property Management does an overhaul on this place. Not IHG quality!
