No way should this hotel be almost $200 per night. Paying basically for the name. Overwhelming smell of chlorine in the halls, room service left out far too long. Breakfast buffet not nearly worth the $20+ price. (per person) Lots of construction going on during my stay which was slightly annoying. Put on hold with the front desk for over 5 minutes. Wouldn't return, had a better experience at the Hampton Inn for almost half the price.

I made reservations months before my stay through the Hilton app and was never informed the hotel was under renovation which made our stay very unpleasant. Bathroom leaking and room not being cleaned on our first day until 6:30 pm after we called didn't help.

Ok so first this is not about the renovation. It is substantial and a great distraction over entire customer facing lobby but the 2 rating is not related to that. The two comes from the little things in room. More specifically two things. Thermostat and plug-ins. Thermostat just was so complicated it was not operable. Stayed out in Dedham because the hotel was close to the train. Although close, the train does not run all that frequently. Had food via room service and eat breakfast everyday in the restaurant, was not disappointed!

Such an awful experience. Not only is the hotel under MAJOR renovation, but besides that, there are a lot of things that are not up to par with my normal business travel. Hallways smell like smoke and chlorine. There was food spilled and left on the stairway landings at 1:00pm-it smelled like it was sitting there for a long time. On a number of occasions I have stayed here. I've mainly had good experiences because of the nice people working here. The gym is much better than most hotel gyms and the pool is good for relaxation. If you want room service, get the clam chowder! Currently there is some construction going on as they are in the middle of renovations. Despite all the work that's going on, the staff has been extra nice to make sure I can sleep in late. By-the-way, Rita at the front desk is the nicest lady.

Large guest rooms. Quiet hotel. We had a very brief stay the night before surgery in Boston. The restaurant was under construction buthte hotel was quiet and clean. I would definitely choose this hotel again for personal or business purposes.

No customer service - staff needs to understand the meaning of gold customer service. The property was doing construction and I was no advised. It was very noisy and the wifi is not reliable. I spent over 30 minutes with their technical staff and they couldn't make it work.

This is the best Hilton hotel I have been in ever. Very clean and nice stuff. I like the new garden that they just finish. I was able to enjoy a beautiful view while eating at the restaurant. Clean room also. I like the work desk, big enough to do multiple thing. I will definitely go back and will recommend this hotel to anybody.

I love staying at Hilton properties. However, this particular property was not up to standard. The room was not well prepared (no pen, no paper for example), the bath mat was dirty, the room was not well appointed. I will continue to stay at Hilton properties but the management of this hotel needs to pay attention to detail. Someone has taken their eye off the ball.

This Hilton Hotel was perhaps under renovation as at the time of my visit, however the ambience of the hotel was not inspiring. The rooms are comfortable and the staff are courteous but a lot of improvement on food and ambience is required.

Terrible hotel on so many levels, rude and unprofessional staff, construction noise, smell. problems encountered were addressed with staff but not resolved. Would never stay here again, will have to look for other accommodation as I will be coming here quite a bit in the coming years.

I didn't feel unsafe at the Hilton Boston Dedham. That's the only positive. The hotel was under extensive renovation, including the lobby and the main hallways to the restaurant. The staff did the best they could, but noise and dust were the norm. The staff in general seemed overwhelmed and unresponsive. We had basketball tournaments in Boston, but the prices of hotels were expensive. We stayed at the Hilton Dedham, 20 min away from Boston, and we were happy. They were undergoing construction, which really didn't affect us. The rooms are very clean, the bathroom is really nice, everything looks really new. The beds were so comfortable, the rugs in the room and the hallways looks new. I would definitely consider this hotel if you are travelling to Boston.

I have stayed in many hotels, but this one takes the cake. Although going through renovations, the staff at the hotel was so kind and helpful. Especially the dining services. Not only were the waitresses patient and hard working, but the bartenders were the best! Newly renovated and love the lobby / restaurant in lobby. Guest rooms are outstanding love the new walk in shower - the location is great just a 20 mn rail ride. This is a must stay when coming to Boston Area also great shopping within shuttle service - hotel has shuttle for area.

Hotel is undergoing renovations. Lots of loud noise during the days. Ice maker in our hall did not work. Phone in our room did not work. Neither were addressed even though we mentioned it more than once. We won't be back.

We were up on 4th floor, rugs have all been replaced! Whole hotel being renovated, ask for a comp. Breakfast! Pool an hot tub are needing updates too both were fine tho to use for now.. Liked how convenient to everything best feature! Place will be nice when renovations are complete!

If you like an extremely hard bed, this hotel is for you. It felt like sleeping on a rock. The walls are paper thin & you can hear everything in the adjacent rooms. We listened to slamming doors echoing through the halls for most of the night. On the flip side, the staff was friendly and the shuttle driver was exceptional.

Great location, the rooms seem to be newly renovated and done very tastefully. Love the bathroom. They were completing the lobby and breakfast area but you can tell it will be very nice as well. The location is very close to an area with many restaurants and some shopping.

My wife and I stayed at the Hilton Boston Dedham for 4 nights during a recent visit to New England, part of longer road trip. We always stay here when we visit the area (my father lives nearby); I wrote a review after our July 2014 stay, and we stayed here again in October 2015. This hotel is old and tired. While they are now doing renovations they are not doing a good job at all! We stayed in a"renovated" room and the renovation must of taken place 10 years ago. Clean hotel with very comfortable bedding. Great stay for the right price. Very easy access to and from the medical clinic I needed to be at. The cost was affordable compared to other hotels closer to the hospital/clinic. **Not everyone traveling to Waltham is in bio tech and can afford those outrageous prices for a place to sleep. There was nothing about this property that was super bad, but there was also nothing that will make me want to return again. I didn't do much at this hotel other than stay in my room. The hotel is under renovation so I give the benefit of doubt, but the service was super average. I was in Dedham for a family wedding, and the family had booked a block of rooms. We found the rooms both clean and comfortable. There is also a nice restaurant on the premises. The construction to improve the hotel was not intrusive.

Excellent price on their rooms and a very nice room...king bed was very comfortable. From the front desk to the bed, I was taken care of very well and would go back in a heartbeat. Only 20 minutes from Boston, very easy access from route 95.

I've had bad luck with hotels lately, so this hotel was a very pleasant surprise - especially in view of some weak reviews that I've seen. Recently our family stay here for 4 nights. The place was not under construction..it was more like a war zone. When going to our room we had to walk through the construction. Our group stayed 3 nights and held a conference there. The room was not very clean there was wads of hair in the bathroom and even in the toilet. The hotel was very up front and apologetic about ongoing renovations which was appreciated. However, most other aspects of the hotel stay were disappointing. We could not hold an Internet connection for over 10 minutes which made working very difficult. Along with that, cell reception (Verizon) was spotty at best in most areas of the hotel. I recently stayed at the Hilton Dedham for 2 nights for a work conference. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. As many other reviews have stated, the hotel is under construction. It looks like a mess and you can definitely hear construction noises that last into the late evening hours. Not ideal when you return from a long day and want to head to bed early. Starting with a huge line to check in for a room that was not ready, this stay had some problems. There was only one front desk person checking in people, not the best idea when you are also checking in a huge wedding group. Friendly and helpful reception, nice room with good quality bed. Bathroom needs upgrading, some tiles half falling out of the wall. Parking is a weird setup, we had to drive around 4 different parking areas to find a spot. Still, good value and we may come back.

Hotel was great, little pricey for the time of year. Service was good. Breakfast was $40 extra at the time of booking, which was great, good fruit, eggs bacon etc. Parking was FREE, good parking areas. Hotel was very difficult to get into. Hilton is always a great hotel, being part of the HHonours allows you to pick your room the night before.

This is hotel is being renovated and its looking great. Theres a little store in the lobby thats is stocked with drinks and snacks. The gripes: buffet breakfast is tiny with even tinier plates. Despite being empty, it took a staff member @ 15 min to come over and ask if we wanted coffee. And for some reason there was no hot water and we had to take cold showers. I would still stay here again. Hiltons are the best bang for the buck.

Comfortable bed but crowded room. Pool did not see clean or well cared for. Food was disappointing. Front desk personnel were helpful and friendly. Dining staff was unresponsive and not interested in helping with a family.

Very noisy the first night with unsupervised teens playing loudly in the halls and adjacent room. Staff was somewhat responsive. Lobby enters into the bar area which can be loud like a sports bar. Restaurant can also be loud. Food was average.

I am originally from Dedham, MA - and even though I now live in New Jersey, my son and I return "home" several times a year. I have tried all of the hotels available in Dedham, and in my opinion, nothing else in town compares to the Hilton. The rooms are very well appointed with Peter Thomas Roth toiletries. This is by far the worst Hilton I have ever experienced. The entire hotel is very dated and needs to be completely updated. We stayed on the first floor and the walls were as thin as cardboard. There was no insulation in the walls and we could hear our neighbors' conversations as though we were in the rooms with them. I stayed in one of the newly refurnished bedrooms that was great. Spacious, clean and very comfortable. Location is convenient and Boston is 25 minutes trip by train (train station located 5 minutes walk). There are not a lot of options in the area but you can find a decent mall -5 minutes drive from the hotel.

This is a full service Hilton, so be advised unless you are a member of Hilton Honors (Gold or above), you'll have to pay for coffee and breakfast in the morning. If you are Gold or above, they have a very nice breakfast buffet. Also the coffee is Starbuck's so if you like Starbucks that is an added plus. Visited for 2 days for campus touring in Boston, 30 minutes using no highways, it was convenient . Near Legacy Place, good shopping and dining. This hotel is under remodelation , however this made no negative impact during our stay. The Hilton Dedham is worn out and needs renovation. The rooms are clean but extremely tired and their heavy use shows. When I visited the computer system was down and check in was a pain. The location is convenient - close to I-93 and I- 95.

This hotel makes a Super 8 look like a 5 Star hotel. I reserved two rooms for my family. One room was missing a window crank. The other had a window that was open but had no means to close it. It also was losing the gaskets holding the glass in the frame. There were no pens or paper in the room nor any hotel guide. My stay here was incredibly smooth and pleasant. We found this deal on Groupon and were a little skeptical based on all of the negative reviews that this hotel had received. We arrived close to midnight on Friday and there were no issues with check-in. Overall we had an excellent stay at the Hilton in Boston/Needham area. Price was reasonable but I really liked how close it was to the commuter rail. First time we did not use a car. Hotel staff dropped us off a few times at the mall to pick up some items. Check in /out was easy. Food at the hotel was good.

I had stayed here before and recall a very dark place but that is no longer the case. It is light and spacious. The location is deceiving because there appears to be no shopping and restaurants around...also not the case. Quick hop to 95 and there is plenty to choose from. We stayed in the Dedham Hilton and took the train into Boston. It was convenient to the highway and to the train station. We used the shuttle service to a local restaurant. We also used the bar and the breakfast buffet. All of it was very nice. We did have a noise problem but it was rectified immediately.

This is a decent Hilton. It's clearly an older hotel based on the room and the condition of them. The lobby and other common areas seemed to have been remodeled recently (and maybe they're doing the rooms next). They do have very good fitness facilities at this location (weight room, cardio equipment, pool, racquetball, and what seemed some dance aerobics classes). Location wise it's fairly easy to get to if you need to head out to that area.

As a couple we were very satisfied with our stay here. Staff were friendly and check in and out was excellent. The items we receive complimentary were an added bonus. The renovated room we stayed in was a great size and up-to-date. Excellent amenities. The location is outstanding and close to shipping and restaurants. the restaurant staff is very inattentive during the evenings. The food is not that great and you have to wait a long time to be serve. Overall, this restaurant is a joke. I recently stayed there and ordered chicken almost at restaurant closing time, and they served me undercooked meat. The staff did not even offer me something else or a refund when I reported the issue.

The staff were great and helpful. Our original room AC/heater was broken and set on 92 when we arrived and couldn't be fixed. We had arrived at 11 pm and didn't get a new room till midnight. They did provide free breakfast to us for the problem but it was the last thing I needed after a long day of travel. After that we had a good stay except their was no computers to use.

The rooms are nice and quiet - the bed is comfortable. And if you're at the back of the hotel, there's a pretty view of tree tops. However, if you are in the front or middle of the hotel - it's got to be loud between the elevators and opening down to the lobby! It also has a very large gym. This is where the positive points end. Right off the highway and <5 minute walk to commuter train station lets you keep the car in the parking garage and head downtown to explore Boston. This newly renovated hotel which continues to out perform the competition. It is 45 minutes from Logan and 48 minutes from Providence R.I. Airport. It is about 20 minutes from Gillette Stadium. This is my second time at this hotel, and while the renovations were completed from my first stay, there was more construction going on. It never seems finished. I also don't understand putting single female travelers on the first floor right on ground level located so that anyone walking on the grounds has easy access to the room. While the staff is nice, the morning front desk personnel were really great. I probably will not stay at this hotel again for business.

My daughter and I stayed here the night before her Boston College visit. It is right off the highway and very easy to get to. The receptionist was great. The hotel is situated immediately off the expressway and easy to access. The turn off comes up very quickly and easily missed on your first approach. Dedham Hilton needs to get its act together. Noisy venting, broken heating, filthy bathroom. Usually a nice stay fell way below its standards this trip. 3 strikes for 3 rooms. A Hilton Hotel with Hampton Inn food service. The bar wasn't staffed on a Sunday afternoon; someone went off to find a bartender. There is a coffee bar near the lobby with a large selection of chips and snacks (and coffee) for purchase.
