We stayed here for one night at the end of April. We absolutely loved the hotel! Check-in was a breeze and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were staying for a competition and my boyfriend had a lot of food he had to bring with him. The staff said they normally don't put fridges in rooms unless for medical reasons, but he made an exception for us. We were not charged and it was brought up in seconds from when we entered the room. I had requested a quiet room, which we did get at ... Read more

From the moment we arrived, staff was friendly and helpful. The front desk staff helped us find our way around the city. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and the staff was friendly. At our departure the staff courteously wished us safe travels and offered us water, snacks and coffee for the long drive !

We were in Boston for a graduation. This hotel is less than a five minute walk from the Green Line T station, which made getting around very easy. It is also a short walk to the Cambridgeside Galleria mall. The staff was so friendly and accommodating, and our room, although on the small side, was very comfortable. The only negative was no fridge in the room. As another poster commented, the entrance to the hotel was easy to miss. I did online check in which was convenient, and check out was also... Read more

We stayed here for two nights. The usual Hampton Inn, which is fine with us. Staff were nice and did a good job. Only slight hassle is the tight entrance for cars at check in. You have to make a hard, tight left turn to get under the canopy. And then, after checking in, continue with another left and another left to get into the garage. You actually make a circle. And if several cars come at the same time and line up behind you, you can actually get blocked in. Watch out. Also, the under... Read more

Great college visitation hotel. Also convenient to Boston touring locations. Hampton Inn is a clean and high-value hotel. This is within walking distance of the Charles River and MIT, very close to the Science Museum and Cambridge's restaurant district. Convenient to the Green Line for easy transportation and tourism.

We usually stay in Hampton Inn hotels when we go to trips and this hotel is another typical Hampton Inn. Free parking, free breakfast and clean room were provided as always and we enjoyed our stay. The location was convenient for us and all of our destinations in the area were close to us. We visited the museum of science, M.I.T, Harvard and Tea Party Ships and Museum. Museum of Science and M.I.T are definitely in the walking distance as well as some of the restaurants. Due to the memorial weeke... Read more

We stayed here for two nights. There was a fair amount of confusion about our reservation due to a glitch on the Web site. There were two managers: one nice, one rather rude. Everything worked out fine, but it was inconvenient and a bit off-putting since we had always gotten stellar service from this chain. That said, it is a very good value for the neighborhood (Cambridge is fiercely expensive) and there are some wonderful restaurants nearby.

Clean, well-located, and reasonably priced in Boston. I would say it is above regular Hampton Inn(s) standard. Parking is free. Shopping mall and Grocery store near by, the former 5 mins of walking, the latter within 10 mins. The only trouble with choosing here as a base is that the subway close by. The Green line is a nightmare. It is crazily slow..

My wife and I were in Boston for one night. Good location, free parking. Couple of pizza places in walking distance. If you're staying for more than one night and are site seeing, I highly recommend leaving your car there and taking a taxi. Hotel not really in walking distance to most of the "major" sites. Overall clean, comfortable, good breakfast, and friendly staff.

This hotel is older so the rooms are smaller than I would have liked. Our room was clean, not a lot of extra room with 2 queens, a desk and a chair. Would have liked a fridge. Excellent location, across the street from the T station at Lechmere that made it easy to get around Boston. Parking garage was secure. Complimentary breakfast was okay-but free is always good! We stayed here for three nights in June. While not fancy, the hotel is clean and comfortable. Every staff member that we encountered was friendly and helpful. There are not a lot of things to do within easy walking distance of this hotel. However, the free parking and breakfast were more important to my family. This is the Boston metro area where it is a challenge to find a place that meets standards: very clean, Neutrogena toiletries, continental and hot breakfast included, parking garage included in room rate, great evening staff. Parking .... check in first, park on the side street until you are ready with your hotel card. Hope you parallel park well. Breakfast.....that day we had eggs, bagels with hot toppings and diy Belgian waffles. Free coffee throughout the day.

A place to rest for the night and a shower. That was pretty much it. Breakfast was not what I would have wanted so it wasn't much of a benefit, and we noticed there were no hard boiled eggs offered at this Hampton Inn. The parking garage was dark and difficult to navigate, especially with luggage. Had we know we would have unloaded at the lobby before driving down to the garage. And dropped my elderly mother off at the lobby too.

The hotel a short walk across the street from the T station and only took 10-15 minutes to get into central Boston. My wife and I traveled to Boston for the July 4th weekend. We selected this hotel because it was 1/2 block from the "T", offered free parking and complimentary breakfast. It was very nice to park the car on arrival and not use it again until departure. The room was not overly large, but comfortable with a queen size bed. Breakfast was more than adequate. This is my second stay at this hotel, but alas will be my last. The location is perfect, has free parking, and the breakfast has good options. The hallways looked to have been renovated but was not carried into the room. The room was spacious and clean, but the Ac was very loud and hard to cool the room. We chose this property because we are loyal to the Hilton brand and it was close to where we needed to be. The price for one night was exorbitant given the noise level, the lack of security and the status of the room. The street noise was crazy. The immediate area is not too exciting but it only takes 30 minutes by metro to get to the harbor by the aquarium. The underground free secured parking is a great deal in a big city like Boston. But for the free parking I'd give the place 3 stars. It's "ok". Rooms are nice. Smaller tv's, but there are full HD channels. Rooms are nicely equipped. Lobby is very old. I needs some help. And breakfast...yeah, microwaving eggs and calling them omelettes is a disservice to all chickens.

This is a great place to stay in the Cambridge area. Easy to find and to get to other areas. It is up-to-date, comfortable and includes a great free breakfast. The parking lot is underground below the hotel.

I needed a place to stay for a very brief trip to Boston. This hotel met my needs in that it was convenient, relatively inexpensive and as others suggest was highlighted by a helpful and friendly staff. The location is highlighted by the access to the Lechmere T station, but there are few food offerings within a convenient walking distance. I would gladly stay there again under similar circumstances.

When we were looking for a Hilton hotel in Boston prior to our cruise , all of the other Hilton hotels were booked in Boston proper. I was unsure of Hampton's proximity to Boston or the cruise port when I booked it but it was a good find! The Hampton Cambridge is a block away from the transit system, making it convenient to travel into Boston. The area surrounding the Hampton is residential and it was comfortable to walk around. We drove to Boston, and it was rather easy to access the highway... Read more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night following my sister's college graduation at Gillette Stadium. We chose the hotel due to its close proximity to the Lechmere light rail station. We walked across the street to the station in the evening and it was an easy ride into the heart of Boston. We had an early flight the next day and were able to grab an adequate breakfast before departing.

This was hotel was quite good! The front desk staff was pleasant and accommodating. Our room was not huge or interestingly decorated, but it was comfortable and clean, the beds were comfy, the desk was large, and the bathroom had enough towel racks . There was no fridge in the room, but maybe if we asked, we could have gotten one. Although breakfast was a "typical" Hampton breakfast, it seemed better somehow. For fruit, they had delicious sliced mango, papaya, and cantaloupe (and also pineap... Read more

This is a very nice place. It is modern and clean. The rooms are large and comfortable. As always the case with Hampton the staff are unusually friendly and helpful. I always appreciate the complimentary breakfast. There are several restaurants within a five minute walk. The one negative is that there is a bit of road noise heard from the room.

I wish I could give it 5 stars because of the excellent treatment we received when we were there for my niece's wedding. Also, it's a serviceable hotel with a so-so breakfast (kids will love the cereal and being able to make waffles).

As with all Hampton Inn locations, check in was fast and easy. The underground parking was easier than expected (I drive and explorer). If you drive a smaller car it will be very easy. The reason for this review, my daughter had an interview in the morning, and a gala in the evening. She had work to do in the afternoon. Since she had to leave for home immediately after the gala, we didn't need a room for the night. We did need a place with Internet in the afternoon. The wonderful people a... Read more

Despite all my usual hotel booking luck, I couldn't get great rates in Boston so we booked this hotel. It turned out to have many great qualities: free parking, free breakfast, very close to Boston, one short block to walk to the T stop, and an approximately $8 uber ride into the city, and free parking. As I mentioned, we took the T in for some sightseeing, which was great - convenient, inexpensive, and a nice, short ride into the heart of Boston. One evening we did take Uber and it was inex... This hotel is clean & good value. It is a few blocks to the bridge crossing the Charles River into Boston. The breakfast fast is the typical hotel pre-made breakfast - a few mornings of that was enough.

I recently took 22 students on an overnight group trip to visit colleges in the Boston Area. I would highly recommend staying here to any group. The staff was super friendly, including the person who gave me a quote on the rooms and helped me to book the rooms, to the staff that greeted us and helped us to check in, and also the staff that managed the breakfast area. I have taken overnight field trips for over 15 years and this was one of the best places we have stayed in! A Bonus was that there... Read more

The hotel itself is fine. It is clean & comfortable with a secure parking garage. Upon check in the desk clerk could not help me with how long it would take me to get to MA College of Pharmacy the next morning. Upon checkout, the desk clerk expressed that he wasn't sure if I could pay cash, because he wasn't sure if he had change. He then had to use his phone calculator to figure out the change, he promised me an email receipt, which I have not received yet. I will not stay there again, nor... Read more

Ask for a room on the BACK of the hotel if you are a light to moderately light sleeper. Also -- you can hear EVERYTHING from the hallway so keep your own noise to yourself unless you want the public to hear it ALL.

Breakfast was just okay. Only served sausage on 2 of the 4 days, no other meat offered. Be sure you get what you want before 10 am because they don't care it is gone. One day the staff was cooking bacon for themselves, the guest were only given smells. The Tv remote works wonky, but they did help us figure it out. Restaurants are at least a 10 minute walk away. Parking is very limited on weekends.

When we went to the hotel, we received great service. Our hotel room was on the third room and it was cramped for three people. The beds were lumpy although. You can hear everything that is going on in the hallway and noisy screaming kids when I got back to the hotel room. There was a fitness room which I was impressed by. There was no pool in that hotel and so very disapointing. It needs to be thoroughly cleaned properly. Good food. Although you have to request certain foods to the kitchen staf... Read more

This hotel is extremely easy to get to from the last stop on the Green Line of The T, less than a block away and within view as soon as you step off. Its a quiet neighborhood, away from downtown Boston. Room was clean, extra points for the free wi-fi! I got in late and hadn't eaten in hours, I asked if there was a snack bar or something and he offered me snacks from the front desk, free of charge. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was clean and neat, the average breakfast, and a good start to exploring the Boston area. Its location close to the T was above average. We were able to explore the city, have dinner close by at the mall, and walked everywhere in Boston. The Business Center was generally a side desk in the hallway by the gym. Not sure I would consider this a real business center.

My daugther and I stayed here while in Boston visiting colleges. The property is clean and the staff very helpful. There's underground, free parking which is convenient. While not located in the heart of downtown, Cambridge is close enough by Uber (typically a $4 ride to the Back Bay if you choose the "pool" option). There's a T stop just across the street and the Museum of Science is only a .5 mile away so it's easily walkable.

Location is relatively convenient close to the Leachmere green line T station and some blocks further away from the Science Museum. Check in and out staff were very friendly. Nevertheless the property should be up for an update. It feels and looks tired. Maybe a redo of rugs from the hallways all the way to the rooms will do. Steep price for t... Read more
