Valet parking is expensive as it is anywhere else in the city. The Staff here is amazing. They truly are trained in Hospitality. The complete place recently had a makeover so it is all new. The work out area is small and outdated but the walk or run along the charles is right there. The Lobby restaurant has good sandwiches and great salads. Beverages are competitively priced. If Maria is on then sit at the Bar.. she is fantastic.

We arrived very late at night (next morning really). We were greeted warmly and the front desk attendant was helpful. The next morning we were able to take our time getting ready to go. The valet attendants were helpful in bringing our car so we could load our belongings before leaving for the day (on foot). When I asked the front desk attendant about recommended walking routes she was very helpful and knew a lot about the surrounding areas and was able to make recommendations accordingly.

I called the information and ask where we could borrow/find a cork opener. She told me to go downstairs and ask the bartender. The bartender gave us one but when we tried to open the wine bottle, there is a problem with the opener. So we went downstairs again with the bottle and told the bartender to help us. We stayed at the wyndham for one night 2 children and a friend. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Only downside, bathroom door had a sliding door which didn't quite close, flimsy shower curtain... Staff friendly and helpful.

Absolutely loved the food at this restaurant. They serve a number of sandwiches on bread made by a local bakery and I must say they were delicious. I ordered the The Harvard Yard - "Roasted Turkey, Boursin Cheese, Caramelized Onions/ Iggy's Sour Dough". stayed her for 4 days. Everything in the hotel fine. Close to transit easy to get around. Staff was very helpful. I would suggest the rack with brochures be put closer to the front as it was away from the front done a hallway near the bathrooms. One would not see it if you did not ask. Other than that we had a good time. I would recommend.

Wyndham Beacon Hill was a great place to stay. Convenient location within walking distance to great restaurants and attractions. We had a great time there. The hotel was very nice and the staff were wonderful. Very attentive and friendly.

I was looking forward to our trip to Boston, and staying at the Wyndham. We paid a lot for our room, and even paid extra for an upgrade. The upgrade was nothing special--it was just an ordinary hotel room with a small refrigerator. The breakfast (which was included with the upgrade) offered very little (some fruit, hard boiled eggs, muffins and cereal). The best part was the coffee (Starbuck). The valet and maintenance was nice but the front desk staff was politely condescending - there was no effort beyond the minimum courtesy - basic information like WiFi passwords had to be hunted down. In general it was a disappointment - beyond the insane parking fees which you are not warned about in advance, the dirty sheets for which there was barely an apology, the lack of hot water and the general disregard for guests well being - there was just a pathetic sense that they really didn't care... Very good basic hotel, good beds, friendly staff and management. Enough space in your room, clean and professional decoreded. The quality of food and beverage is very good. The hotel is in the city center of Boston. The valid parking is a service that's great! Walking to center or harbour in 10 minutes.

Great location, with pool we visited in the afternoon between city tours and dinner, the best time to catch the sun at the pool. Pool is not heated :-( Duck tours book out 5 days in advance, be aware. Enough to do however. The hotel overbooked us on double rooms, the rollaway is of sub standard quality, was compensated with free breakfast. Which was acceptable, had to ask though. Friendly staff, accommodating manager throughout the stay !

We stayed at the Wyndham next to the hospital. It was in a great location to walk around Boston and see all the sites. We had a room on the opposite side of the hospital and didn't hear any sirens. The only issue we found was we paid extra to have breakfast included and when we went for breakfast they said it was for only 2 people (we had a booking for 2 adults 2 children). Nowhere when booking did it say the breakfast was for only 2 people -absolutely ridiculous and not worth the extra cost.

Room 1016: Noisy. Did not sleep well due to being located near the elevator and particularly the ice and vending machines. Also, the sliding glass shower door could not be closed ... something that certainly should have been noticed by housekeeping. Regarding the type of trip (see below) it was for a medical appointment at Mass. General Hospital so, none of the categories really applies. We reported the problems at checkout as we were only there one night.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel. It's in a good location for most attractions in Boston but still reasonably quiet. Having the pool was a bonus for cooling down in July. Room was spacious enough for two adults and two teenagers.

Everyone from the moment of arrival to departure was wonderful. The valet team was patient while we unloaded our car and efficient on its retrieval. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff considerate and happy. And most important is the housekeeping staff - I just love it when they acknowledge our passing in the halls with a 'good morning' or a 'hello'. My sister and I stayed here the night before her surgery. The hotel is walking distance to Mass General and the Ear and Eye Institute. As luck may have it, it is also within walking distance to the 4th of July fireworks with the Boston Pops! There are multiple restaurants and attractions nearby. The Liberty Hotel- a former jail, is unique and has a great restaurant inside (The Clink). Staff were friendly.

The room was very nicely decorated and the location was within walking distance to most attractions. The rate was reasonable and it was only 15 minutes to the airport. The only.complaint was the air conditioning airflow was a little too strong in the middle of the room. The parking was $43 but I guess that is to be expected in a major city.

The staff was extremely accommodating for our early arrival and during our departure. It is a very standard hotel that is located outside of the congestion of the tourist centers, but close enough to walk wherever you need. Easy access to the Esplanade, North Side, Harbor, Boston Common, etc... You get what you ask for so do not expect Boston character or anything distinct, but it lives up to Wyndham standards.

Check-in and valet service were easy. Wait time for the valet to retrieve my car was less than 10 minutes . The room was average, nothing special. Bed was comfortable. There was a lot more they could have done to improve the stay. Mostly housekeeping and room service related. No one wants to find that garbage still exists on the floor AFTER the maids come. And who wants someone delivering your dinner dripping with sweat and out of breath. All in all, I would pay more and stay elsewhere.

The best part of the stay was the convenience of the location. We walked to the Boston Commons to start our Freedom Trail and it was also a comfortable walking distance from where the hop-on-hop-off bus was dropping us off. We also walked to the Cheers pub.

I booked this hotel based on its proximity to Beacon Hill. Overall, this is a tired, albeit well located, hotel in need of some renos. They only offer valet parking at $43 per day plus tips - self parking nearby is at the same price. Boston...second stop on our U.S. visit. After our wonderful hotel in New York (Affinia Dumont) this hotel, which cost about the same seemed very average. The location is OK, the room OK, the outside swimming pool was freezing cold but OK, the service OK... There was nothing really to complain about, but nothing exceptional either. We stayed for 4 nights and the location is great. Close to T station and close to many attractions and restaurants. The front desk staff are nice. The Dean's list restaurant on site has decent priced food and the service was good. Few things about the room - kind of old. Located just about a 10 minute walk to the Boston Commons where you can catch a trolley or start the freedom trail. Nice, clean room, good service from all staff. Pool was maintained and staffed. They do take advantage of the fact you need a place to park so they hit you for $45 a night to park but that seems consistent all over town. Restaurants within walking distance.

You spend 200 bucks you get good service. A note: if you are staying here for any reason related to MGH as a patient, park overnight at A MGH and get the ticket validated at the hospital before you leave. It only costs $10/night at MGH vs $40+ at the hotel valet!

We stayed here for a recent family trip to Boston. While it was fairly convenient to Boston Common, where the Freedom Trail and the trolleys stop, we were less than impressed with the hotel. Very nice hotel for family vacation to sightsee in Boston. Close to attractions. Excellent valet parking. Very easy checking and check out, could not have gone better. Pool hours were disappointing. The staff were great! They answered questions, gave directions and were professional and friendly. I was pleased with the cleanliness and atmosphere of the room. If I ever visit Boston agsin, this is where I will stay. It is just a short walk away from the historical sites and the harbour.

Property is not well maintained. Ice machine never worked on our floor. Heard maintenance looking at it on day 4 of our stay saying that he could probably order a part for it next month. 1 dryer was out of order the entire time, so the other machine was always in use. Boston is a very walkable city and this hotel is centrally located. Walk to the Freedom Trail, Boston Commons and the Cheers bar. Their are also good restaurants and an Au Bon Pain, Starbucks and Whole Foods close by the hotel . The hotel room was clean and the staff was professional.

I read the reviews before booking so was a little concerned about the negative aspects. We did not find any negatives. Great location. Easy to walk to main points of interest. I spend 10 months a year in a hotel room and for this one night I wish I had stayed at a motel 6 or holiday inn. The price was far to high for what it was. The room was noises, called front desk they couldn't be bothered. At night and in morning water in shower was cold! Plumbing issues with the toilet as well. The room smelled like cigarettes. The staff could care less that you are there and it's over priced. Do yourself a favor for they price go up the street !!!

Very convenient to Mass General Hospital and used to dealing with patients with needs and their families, this hotel also manages to be pleasant and convenient for those without special needs. It backs up to a fabulous Whole Foods with a great hot bar for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The staff and front desk are knowledgeable and happy to help. For a hotel in the heart of Boston, it is very clean and friendly. It is within walking distance of Faneuil Hall and right next door to Mass General (If that is where you need to be.) There is also a T stop right there if you want to go further into the city. Well after reading reviews we weren't sure we made right choice... Well we did! Staff was professional courteous and friendly! The location is central to many places some not far of a walk such as Quincy where you'll find Cheers and many shops and restaurants with something for everyone from casual to fancy! My daughter and I took a day trip to this lovely city. After walking the freedom trail we were exhausted and wanted to rest. At checkin we were upgraded to the executive level which we thought was great but then the "keys" wouldn't work and we couldn't get to our floor or in our room. The outdoor pool was freezing! Valet parking was $43-48 a day. When we got our car for check out our stuff was tossed all over the place and it took forever to get it. There was dirty clothes left behind from the previous guest in the closet...gross! The beds were nice, the bathrobes were very comfortable, it was quite and clean.

Close to many of the great things Boston offers. Easy walk to Harbor, North Boston and Freedom Trail. Clean rooms. Very friendly staff. Restaurant and bar in lobby was very good. Several subway locations nearby for ease to further out locations like Fenway. Very positive stay!

When I checked in, I asked the front desk clerk where I could go to smoke since it is a non-smoking hotel. She said I could sit on the bench outside the front entrance to smoke. While I was awaiting the news that my husband's surgery at Massachusetts General went well, my stay at the Wyndam made things so much more comfortable. Even though I did not share my reason for staying with any of the staff, I found their kindness and hospitality helped make my wait easier. Nice facility, but upon check in our room only had one double bed when our reservation was for two double beds. They did give us complimentary full breakfast for our family during our stay which helped. Great views of the city both from our room and the 15th floor for the wedding. The kids loved the pool!

I was disappointed in this place. My daughter needed surgery at Mass General, so we got a room here adjacent to the hospital to be able to sleep in shifts. Putting on the "Do not disturb" sign only prompted them to call the room and wake us (we finally unplugged the phone). Also, if you expect a warm shower during the morning rush hour, forget about it. I found it to be a nice hotel, however, I found not having a refrigerator available in room was really strange. We stayed there, due to family member being at Mass General. It would have been nice to not have to pay an additional charge for it. Was very expensive to be there to begin with.

If you book an executive suite be sure you are given an executive suite, floors 12-14. We were given a non exec suite when we paid for an executive. The room descriptions did not match. We contacted customer service management and were switched immediately. We should not have been given the room we were.

This hotel has a great location by Mass General Hospital and Beacon Hill. The free wifi is poor, they admit it's for checking email and social media only. Not good enough to stream. This was unfortunate since we really wanted to see the Olympic swimming on NBC and the cable TV options do not include NBC. According to the hotel, Comcast does not give any Boston hotel NBC. I spent three weeks staying at the hotel for work. It was a very nice, comfortable place in the evenings. In the mornings, for three straight weeks, there was no hot water. Ever. Room didn't matter. Week didn't matter. Plenty of hot water in the evenings though.

We went to check the City of Boston and tour the History of Our heritage in the North End. The Hotel Was beautiful, with some nice looks and clean feel. The room were spacious, clean, big, and bathroooms were really clean and nice. the staff were especially nice... they extended themselves with All our needs and concerns.. Our family found the location to be great, close to hospital should you need and only 20 minute walk from the aquarium and the center of activity. Stayed here during my husband's surgery at Massachusetts General hospital. Clean safe and a very short walk to the hospital. Every employee was polite and helpful. I was supplied with an umbrella on a rainy day. Kic at the front desk went above and beyond to answer my questions and provide directions. I had made a booking for a 2 queen beds bedroom with a view on an executive floor (12th it 14th floor) incl. breakfast for two adults and a child. Just spent one night over the Labor Day Weekend. Very confidently located in the Beacon Hill / North End. About a 10 minute walk to Quincy Market and just a little farther to the Boston Common. Very clean and well appointed room. Has a nice pool on a second floor roof. Parking was in a nearby garage ($48) under the Whole Food market. Fast, free Wi-Fi. Very clean. Perfect spot for us to do our sightseeing tour. We self parked, which gave us 24 hours to leave the car, so even after we checked out, we didn't have to worry about parking. Staff was very courteous. We just used it to rest after picking my son up from a late flight. We did sightseeing for the day before returning to Nantucket. Highly recommend.

Hotel location good for sightseeing in Boston & Cambridge area. I am rewards member but found out at checkin that my reservation through Cancelon precluded my getting credit for my three night stay. Very disappointed. Was advised that only reservations through WYNDHAM were eligible for credit. Car parking will add $40 a day to your bill.

The hotel close to the MGH is pĆ¼erfectly located and also lots of restaurants and other amenities are in walking distance but does this justify the price which is three times higher than similar hotels. I clearly can say no. The rooms are OK, the cleanlioness is OK, the staff is OK but I am missing the kick which alows the hotel to charge you such a price. And in addition 43$ for a one night stand of your car is like the point on the whole pricing strategy.

Our room had a (very) minor issue during our stay one evening. I reported the issue to, Gia and Kianna, the two women captaining the front desk, and they solved our issue professionally and expeditiously. We were accommodated like royalty as these two women fixed the problem and had us on our way. I'd recommend the Beacon Hill Wyndham to anyone visiting the Boston area. The rooms are clean, the sheets are like home, and the staff is friendly.

I was taking my son to college and we stayed 2 nights. The hotel was great and the staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable! The staff in charge of parking the cars were great and very helpful. The only thing we were disappoined with was that the buffet breakfast was very expensive. We chose to go elsewhere for breakfast when we would have stayed at the hotel if it was not so expensive. Otherwise, we loved our stay.

Room wasnt ready, staff didnt care. Said they'd call with room prepared - didnt follow up. Left a vm for Tom, GM. Zero response, Total overhall of staff and facility needed, trust me. Don't do it. My first review because the 4 stars for this hotel is so wrong. It is one of the worst I've stayed in. It looks so worn the furniture is literally falling apart. Must have the oldest plumbing in Boston. It's loud in your own room and nearby rooms. The bathroom is small with tiny toilet and sink. And the service is non-existent. No bell hop. No maid service!! Stay away from the front of the building because of the noise. I would never recommend this hotel or stay here again.

My husband and I stay here as it is close to Mass General Hospital. They told us the no longer offer patient discounts which is disappointing. My hubby has to go out for follow up appointments every 6 months so it becomes very expensive and we've had to find other alternatives. They are in a great location near the T station and great food options. Rooms are nice. Maybe they will offer MGH discounts again and we will be back.

This was a comfortable and clean hotel for staying near the historic sights of Boston. With easy access to the Hop-on-Hop-Off Shuttle and close walk to antique shopping and plenty of great restaurants, we would definitely be choosing the Wyndham Boston Beacon Hill again. The only downside is the parking fee. I would definitely check out some nearby options for parking. There are several very close by (I used PandaParking), if you don't mind toting your suitcase a short distance.

The valet parking guy pulled the car 10 yards ahead of the front entrance, so I only saw the back end and driver side. This hotel has been a huge disappointment. First room, had to change due to mold smell. Second room a bit better, but still moldy. Found a bug crawling on the pillow the second night. Took it as evidence and when we showed it to the front desk there was no apology. I guess this is the norm. The only courteous staff was the housekeeping.

As a Wyndham member, I chose this hotel and selected an Executive Floor room thinking that like most hotels with an Executive Floor you have access to a lounge, breakfast, afternoon drinks, etc. Not here! The title summarizes our experience. On arrival we requested a room change because of the odor of mold in the first room, but the second was not much better, so I suspect this permeates the hotel. We found a bug on the pillow the second day, but the person at the front desk shrugged it off as if it was to be expected. We subsequently did get some acknowledgment from the manager (and a free breakfast for our troubles), but overall not a good experience. Too bad, it's a great location.

Other than that, the room and other facilities were feeling a little cheap for the price spent for staying at this hotel. For $300, elsewhere you can get a suite and spa service. We got this specific hotel so we wouldn't have to drive around but they charge over $40 a day for parking. So we ended up using the car, anyway. It wasn't worth the price and the room was pretty old. Next to Mass General Hospital so expect sirens 24/7. Normally a double pained window would reduce the external street noise but not in this former Holiday Inn turned Wyndham. We did not stay at this hotel but, rather an airbnb up the street. We needed to check out of our Airbnb at 11 AM but, our flight didn't leave until 8:30 PM ~ We didn't have anywhere to to keep our bags for the day. We called the Wyndham and they were more than accommodating. They let us check all of bags (10 bags and coats) for only $15! They were so wonderful! I highly recommend contacting them if you ever have a need to check your bags for several hours while you explore Boston.

I had to escape an Airbnb because of gas leak and the Wyndham found a room for me at very short notice. They provided a great rate in spite of short notice. They were caring and everyone was very friendly. The room was spacious and clean. Polly the manager was excellent. I highly recommend.

I was in Boston on business and this hotel was really convenient! The hotel bar had very nice staff and its location was close to shops and restaurants. It was a quick walk to the Harbor and really easy to get places. The room itself was well appointed and clean; no issues whatsoever!

Beacon Hill area is very close to a lot of historical locations, restaurants and site seeing venues.

In town on business. Room was immaculate and seemed to have been updated in the past year or two. Excellent free wi-fi, though I should note I wasn't streaming or gaming, so take that into consideration. A small nit: a channel I tried to get on the digital television was cutting out badly (no weather problems), while a few others I tried seemed fine. Not a big deal for me, but a co-worker said she had a similar problem with a different channel she was trying to watch in her room.

I spent the week working at MGH so the location of the Wyndham was excellent. The hotel is virtually next door to the MGH Campus. The hotel was clean and my room was too. My only complaint was the TV stations were very inconsistent. It appears that they use DirecTV as their provider, and some stations didn't work most of the time. Hotels in Boston tend to be expensive. That's what makes this such a good deal. It's well located(within walking distance of just about everywhere) and it's clean,with good service and a great price. We were here for a visit to MGH which is right next door but I would stay here for any visit to Boston.

Well appointed room complimented by the amazing views over the Charles river. Excellent location for food and convenience! Perfect distance away from the TD Garden with no need of transportation unless there is inclement weather.

I came here for a business trip and my employer misunderstood the payment policies and sent me with a check for payment. After dealing with a less than friendly, difficult to understand front desk on two occasions, I finally got hooked up with the Guest Services Manager Polly. She was more than accommodating, friendly and was able to help me navigate through the problem and was willing to speak directly with my employer to work things out. I was in Boston for a medical appointment at Boston Eye and Ear. The Wyndham Beacon Hill was so convenient and exceeded our expectations. The room was very clean and comfortable. I have to go back to Boston for medical purposes two more times in the next month and the Wyndham will definitely be where we stay.

Aside from high Boston hotel rates and location the Wyndham delivers a fair consistent product for what it. Biggest critique for us was the restaurant food quality, hoping it was addressed recently because I could see us staying there again. Lunch or dinner execution were equally below average. I stayed at the Wyndham Boston Beacon Hill for a few nights recently, and was very satisfied with the experience. The room was a pretty standard hotel room, nothing really stands out about it, but I definitely had no complaints whatsoever. Everything was clean and comfortable. Ideally located in downtown Boston, the hotel provided a great place to explore the town. It was clean, the staff was friendly and efficient. The only drawback was $43 per night for parking.

Convenient location for our visit to Mass Gen Hospital. Upgraded to executive level because we wanted a refrigerator (none available for lower level) but still there was no microwave. Asked about a microwave to rewarm a meal and was told there was none available to guests except for an additional $20/day. Come on, every roach coach I've stayed in has at least a refrigerator and microwave! Used the blow drier to heat up our leftovers, but couldn't do anything about the lack of hot water the first... Excellent location at the foot of Beacon Hill, a block from the Mass General Hospital. Safe, quiet neighborhood, across from a plaza with a Whole Foods and next to Au Bon Pain, Clean, comfortable, laundry facilities, a bar and breakfast area. A good safe place and well priced for the neighborhood. Upgraded to Executive floor, nicer showers and comfy beds and pillows. Good choice for downtown Boston.

the bathroom had no fan so every time we took a shower the bathroom steamed up quit a bit. also the bottom spicket in the tub would be on in addition to the shower head and the tub would fill up all the way because the drain was too clogged. also there was hair in the shower, gross. The TV had a poor layout and was a pain to use. WiFi would not work either.

Recently stayed here due to close proximity to Mass General Hospital, other then the bed was not overly comfortable was nice to be that handy to the hospital .

Only real problem with this place is the window. It says 'room with a view' on our reservation but all I can barely see the whole foods parking lot through all this grime. The inside of the room was very tidy and trendy. and who does not love free WIFI!
