The Godfrey Hotel is located downtown only a few steps away from Boston Common. I assume that the hotel has only been recently opened, and it offers very nice, spotlessly clean rooms. Our corner room located on the 11th floor had amazing high ceilings, windows on two sides, and really comfortable beds. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the gym (located in the basement) is, although not big, convenient too. The hotel has a cafe where you could have breakfast, however the offer is very li... We stayed at the Godfrey for 3 nights. The location is outstanding if you want to walk around Boston. The property is very nice, the staff is accommodating and friendly. The room was very good, a little small but not too bad. Our particular room had a very small closet in it, not too much of an issue but a larger closet would have been nice.

Located bang in between the paramount theatre and Macy's on a quiet street in a period building and surrounded by excellent coffee shops and restaurants . U can't ask for a better surrounding !! The lobby and corridor experience and the gym is average but the hotel offers free bikes and the George Howell cafe in the hotel serves gourmet coffee and the sandwiches are fantastic !! The rooms have big HDTVs and the other little extras are great. Highly recommended

The positives are the amazing staff, great lobby, and central location. That said, the rooms are extremely small. There is little space to put luggage. The bathrooms are very small. The smart TV is great, but too big for the room. Gym in basement is average. Overall, I left disappointed, and felt that better values could be found elsewhere. I noted a lot of businessmen/women in the lobby, and a room might work for one person, but I would NOT suggest for more than one person.

Stayed at Godfrey while touring colleges with our dtr. Location was very convenient, staff was helpful, rooms are new & clean but too small. Bathroom did not allow for privacy -sliding door hard to open and did not fully close. Large shower with no shelves to place your toiletries. No hooks to hang towels or a bathrobe. For the price we paid ALL rooms should have a mini refrigerator. All in all it was a pleasant experience with some minor inconveniences but way too expensive.

We were so delighted with our room. The room was big and comfy and had all that we needed. The bed was really good and so was the shower. The service on the bar was great where this guy (don't remember his name but he had hair to his forehead) was so service minded. The front desk and the staff outside was also great. When the hotel start to offer breakfast it will be perfect. The cafe was really good but a bit pricey. Overall a great stay.

Great experience overall, from the look and feel of the place to the comfort of the king sized bed. Right next to the Common and in a great location. It's right next to Escape the Room, which I did with a group of 8 - highly recommend if you stay at the Godfrey.

By Amie, Nov 19, 2016 I loved this hotel. Everyone was friendly, and the hotel was spotless. It's a beautiful hotel with the perfect location. Beds are really comfortable, and the rooms are well appointed. Good quality rooms and kindly staff. I really liked the hall too and its connection to a wonderful café.

We stayed at the Godfrey for my wife's birthday and to visit her family. Alec took such good care of us. He reserved at this amazing Steak house and he had also sent a glass of champagne to our table for the occasion. The beds are a little too soft but that's just me. Lilly was also very helpful in getting tours set up for us.

In Boston for business and scored a great rate here. Convenient location, close to South Station and walkable to the convention center. Coffee shop is fantastic. Had everything I needed, and the coffee from the shop downstairs was fantastic..

Clean and comfortable, convenient location, reasonable price: This hotel had it all! Nestled in the Theatre District with plenty of restaurants and activities within walking distance, I completely recommend The Godfrey to anyone visiting Boston, especially for the first time.

have seen their site from visiting Boston last time, so i decided to try it because it is in a very good location. The hotel provided great ambience and all, but still not finished completely. I got a good size room comparing to the liberty hotel i often stay or other 5 stars hotel in the area. nice stuffs and good value though the hallways are kinda oddly design

Stayed here prior to seeing a show at the Boston Opera House. The valet was polite and helpful, the receptionist was incredible, the location was perfect. There are many restaurants ranging in prices. Shopping is right outside. It was just a perfect hotel in a perfect location.

Hotel and location were great. Our room was MUCH smaller than we had anticipated especially for the price. No microwave in the room was not ideal but we did enjoy the refridgerator. Lastly, I found the valet efficient, yes, but far too expensive considering it's not optional. I would have preferred to park myself only because of cost, but I do understand location prevents the hotel from having a guest parking lot. Overall, enjoyed our time!

The room was a good size for a large city centre hotel, unbeknown to us there was a problem with the heating. We where moved to an upgraded room with a complimentary bottle of wine & chocolates with the minimum of fuss. There's an excellent coffee shop attached to the hotel and bar prices are competitive compared to other bars in the city.

We loved the location of this hotel. It was close to everything and walking distance to all major areas in Boston. The modern is hotel, the staff was friendly, and the room was clean but on the smaller side. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at The Godfrey as the first stop of our vacation to see the autumn leaves. We enjoyed Boston, but this hotel is too presumptuous and full of itself. And waaaay too expensive. The room was tiny and bathroom pocket door wouldn't close. The people who work here are nice and they resolved the door issue, but the hotels we stayed in in Montreal and Quebec put this place to shame.

This modern hotel offers every facility, while providing a warm, friendly atmosphere. Helpful, courteous staff provide any help requested. The cafe is convenient and has an imaginative menu. The location is ideal, close to a major subway junction. We will be back.

This is my second time in the Godfrey. The location is incredibly convenient for me; right around the corner from the office, and really close to South Station. Plenty of restaurants and attractions nearby, too. The room was extremely clean, and the lobby lounge was a relaxing place to spend time in. Having George Howell Coffee right next door is a nice plus, too!
