The past 3 times I stayed, this was a great place.. THIS TIME, the clerk did not speak adequate English, there were no new towels for 4 out of my 7 day stay (and I was told I could come to desk to get clean ones but they would not send anyone up with them); the staff failed to quiet down a group of kids (and parents!!) yelling upstairs.. Their answer was "they live here and they do this every Sunday afternoon".. Total disrespect for others (another guy left the lobby prior to me, based on same... Read more

We needed a room for the Northeastern University graduation at TD Garden. The other hotels were booked and/or out of reach price/distance-wise. The Constitution Inn was a God-send. We walked from the Constitution Inn to the TD Garden on the morning of the graduation hassle-free, rested and non-stressed. Thank you Constitution Inn!

For affordable accommodation close to town this is a great find right next to the navy yard tourist spot . There is a free shuttle close by which takes you to transit and TD garden . They come every 15 minutes and every half hour after 8pm. The same shuttle back is right outside the T. I don't know why other reviews had problems with this . It's an amazing convenience. Free shuttles also go to various museums from other transit stops. The room I had was huge with 2 double beds, lots of sun and a... Read more

The location of this hotel was ideal, nice and close to the USS Constitution and Main Street in Charlestown. The hotel itself left much to be desired. The hotel pool and workout facilities are definitely a perk, they are through the YMCA that the hotel is connected to. The second floor is a women's shelter, which we discovered on the first night of our stay when a woman was struggling with some boxes and her young child getting into the hotel. The beds were small and the rooms were pretty stuffy... Read more

Staying at the the Constitution Inn on our recent trip to Boston was fantastic! The rates were much lower than across the bridge, but we were walking distance to everything. For those who wanted less walking there was a free shuttle. The hotel was quiet, clean and the staff was very helpful. If you are looking for a fancy high end hotel, this is not the place for you, but for a quiet night's sleep in a beautiful neighborhood you will find it here. This is in the Navy yard, so it is very nea... Read more

Stayed here for a week in June. Room was large with very comfortable beds and a bright well lit bathroom with nice fluffy towels. The hotel is in the historic Charlestown area close to the old navy yard,USS Constitution and Bunker Hill monument. There were two good restaurants nearby and a great little cafe for breakfast plus a deli/food store. Our room was 404 with a view of one of the areas old buildings, very quiet and lots of leafy trees lining the pedestrian street. The ferry from Long Whar... Read more

So it wasn't a terrible place, the staff was friendly, finding it was ok, parking is 2 blocks away in a huge parking garage and only $10 for 24 hrs, but the room was not cleaned up to our standards which aren't super picky, there was drawings on the bathroom wall most likely from a child, the bathroom was dingy and needed a refreshing, there was sugar spilled on the counter, but the AC blew cold, the bed was comfortable, and the sheets are clean. There was also a mini fridge, and a kitchenette w... Read more

Fom the Constitution Inn, it is just a short walk to the Charleston Navy Yard, home of the War of 1812's USS Constitution and the Constitution Museum. Just a little further, you can learn all about the events that led up to the Revolutionary War by walking the Freedom Trail or relax on a Duck Boat tour of Boston Harbor. There is also shopping, great restuarants and nightlife. The Constitution Inn is not fancy, but it is clean, comfortable and economical. I enjoyed my stay there and plan on sta... Read more

I stayed at the Constitution Inn for work and had reserved the room and gave the company credit card information at reservation. When I checked in, they asked for a credit card for, what I thought, was for incidentals. Only after my stay did I realize that they charged my personal card, rather than the business card I used to reserve the room. Not cool!! Also, the front desk folks seemed to be more interested in what was on the TV rather than serving those staying at the hotel. Parking at ch... Read more

When I got to the hotel I didn't know if it was a hotel or a YMCA.. The building is old, not very modern. It was clean, however, and the surrounding area is cool, but when my buddy dropped me off at the hotel we almost left immediately.

This beyond charming location more than makes up for the cinder block walls and the government building feel of the place. There's a grocery store that's right on your way down to the waterfront which is a beautiful 10 minute walk. There's also a big park and war memorial in case the stunning views and perfect waterfront stroll aren't enough! Great Boston accents in the grocery store too: I commented on one of the cashiers accents and he said something witty/sassy (and Boston-y) back like, "... Read more

This hotel is the worst Hotel I have stayed in. The positive things about this hotel was the staff, they were extremely helpful. When we arrived the checking process was very simple. My initial thoughts of the room were how noticeable small the space was. One of the windows was held open with the assistance of a pen. The shower was filthy, soap and hair from the previous visitor was still in the bathtub. The floor of the bathroom was sticky. Donā??t forget your shower shoes, it was needed... Read more

The constitution Inn is a very basic though comfortable stay, situated in a very nice harbour neighborhood, it's perfect for visiting Boston, whit a free shuttle to the centre of the city, although we took the ferry, which was cheap and fast and best of all, lots of fun. The constitution Inn has the best and most fully equipped fitness room, with professional swimming pool and basketball court. A perfect place for visiting Boston.

We arrived in a rush and after looking at the beds to see if they were clean, we turned the AC on high as we were a little worried that there was a fan left in the room and we left the room. Upon returning in the late evening we found that there was decent AC. The room had a broken lamp in the closet, a yellow stain on the curtain, the fan was full of dust. The stove looked like it was from 1970. 1 of the coke machines was broken and the other was unplugged... and midnight just wanted a bott... Read more

The room had a 4 ft crack in the bathroom wall and stucco patches that we're not sanded or painted yet. The location is good and free street parking during holidays. Theirs a water shuttle for 3.5$ which takes u to the Marriott longwharf. The shuttle ends at 6:30pm so u have to cab it back for 18$ including tip.

Stayed here a few nights. Its a bit of a distance from the town. But if you don't mind walking its got some nice views on way or you can take a bus. The hotel its self is nice and quiet and clean. Bed and room are comfortable and an ok price
