It might not be the Mandarin or the Four Seasons, but the Loews is a decent hotel with fairly large, modern, clean and comfortable rooms right in the middle of Back-Bay. Staff is friendly and beds are comfy. Despite having a light sleep I had no problems staying in a room facing busy Stuart Street. Precinct Bar downstairs is a lively place to hang out for a drink or two. It is also a good place for breakfast. I would always return if I could snatch a good rate.

The staff was very friendly even though I arrived a bit out of sorts after dealing with rush hour traffic. The room was very nice, especially the spacious bathroom and shower. The staff was able to make quick recommendations for restaurants in the area and ultimately recommended a new Greek tavern down the street, which was phenomenal.

I really enjoyed this hotel. The building has a lot of history, the staff is excellent, the Precinct Bar has lots of energy during happy hour and after dinner, and the location is great as there are many attractions within walking distance (1-2 miles). Downtown Boston hotels can be a little pricey. The Loews was one of the lowest priced hotels we found in downtown Boston, but the service standards were equal to or better than the higher priced luxury hotels. It was my first time staying at this hotel in Boston. I liked how quiet it was and how nice and sweet the hotel staff were. The only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 star was because I usually prefer a hotel closest to what im interested in, in this case Boylston street, prudential, Newbury street etc. But don't get me wrong, it is not that far off, if you like to walk a bit and don't mind the extra few blocks away then this hotel would be perfect for you. Wifi also depends on what type... Read more

A wonderful stay from beginning to end. The staff were very helpful, the room was lovely, and the restaurant/bar was great. Excellent location as well, very easy to walk to everything. Also enjoyed the fact that the hotel used to be site of police headquarters. Added a nice historical element.

Located in Back Bay so there's that. Everything else not so impressive. Front desk staff pretty clueless most of the weekend. Doormen are great though - esp when you have a car to valet in this very busy area. Elevators are tiny and clunky (as in they jar to a stop - think BOOM) - reminds me more of Europe and not in a good way. If you find yourself waiting for elevator in the basement (where the gym and restaurant are located) do yourself a favor and walk up to the lobby. The elevator NE... Read more

Checked in to the Loews Boston the Friday before the Boston Marathon April 2016. What a beautiful hotel! The Loews chain does not disappoint. We were greeted so warmly and the room was very spacious with great lighting and plenty of amenities. The Concierge, Heather was so helpful with race details, dinner reservations and activities. She gave the best advise and despite always being 12 people deep waiting to talk to her she made each guest a priority. If we come back for the next m... Read more

We spent 4 nights here and would love to go back. It was our first time in Boston and the hotel location was excellent for getting around the city. Staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was comfortable and a reasonable size. The bar was well stocked and had a great atmosphere. Bar staff were sociable, knowledgeable and helpful.

Top quality hotel , ideally located for the visiting on the the major attractions in the City . Our 5th floor room was spacious , and very quiet ( inner looking ) . The Concierges were extremely helpful in finding and booking coach trips for us , and likewise for Restaurants , We stayed 6 nights in October , and had 3 very good restaurant meals in the hotel . The bar was better than the average Hotel facility .

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of a 3 week holiday to USA prior to catching flight to UK. We had a hirecar which we had to return to a rental place in the City so went to hotel first drop off our luggage. It was pouring with rain & the Bellboy very helpfully took our luggage from the car into the hotel for us as we had double parked. I wondered if we would see it again but it was promptly delivered to our room when we finally checked in ( after delivering the car to rental place). Good c... Read more

Great boutique hotel in fantastic location. You can walk to many of the tourist attraction or take the T a couple of blocks away. Room on 9th floor had been recently renovated and the king bed was wonderful.

This Hotel is in a great neighbourhood; close to shops, restaurants and landmarks. Our room was spacious, quiet and had all the amenities we needed. Boston is a fabulous town for sightseeing and is very walkable.

This is a nice hotel and modern. Rooms are a little small but it is stylish, clean and great location in back bay. This is a mid to high end hotel for central boston. It has a lively bar area and good food menu. Front desk staff where very helpful. We have stayed in the , Taj, global suites, Marriott, Westin, Langham, and Copley square. This was our second favorite hotel but best location.

My husband and I spent Saturday night at the Loews Boston Hotel. I picked this hotel as it is within 10 minutes' walk to the theatre district. I paid for two thirds of the rate with Expedia points. I have to wonder if booking through Expedia didn't somehow affect the room they gave us. It was clean, the bed was comfortable but it was so darn small! Getting out of bed was interesting, my feet continually hit the wall before the floor. The only piece of furniture was a desk chair which would ... Read more

The hotel is in a great location for central Boston. We arrived from London so therefore had a lot of luggage. When we went to our room it was very small with no storage and would have been very difficult to move around the room with our cases. We immediately let reception know and without hesitation they moved us to a larger room which was really appreciated and very good customer service with more space to move about the room. Our stay was very enjoyable with a good bar and a very nice brasser... Read more

Great location - very central to lots of great restaurants and shops in walking distance. Subway is really close by if you need to go further - museums, other sites and even Harvard are only a short subway ride away. Furthermore, the hotel is beautiful and the rooms are soooo comfy! Loved the bed! Also a very spacious bathroom with separate standup shower and tub. If you stay here, check out the lounge to the right of the entrance (opposite side of check-in). There's a huge TV screen to rel... Read more

Great location just off Copley Square and not as expensive as the other big names on the Square. Nice big TV in rooms, heated towel rails and room lights are bright. Wi-Fi is terrific and doesn't cut out or need reconnecting like many hotels. But the best thing is the Lounge area on the ground floor with a large multi-screen TV, coffee and tea facilities and newspapers and Wi-Fi. Great for waiting for your Going to get ready or after you've checked out. The only thing that spoilt my stay were ... Read more

I stayed at Loews for 4 days very recently and thoroughly enjoyed my first ever trip to Boston. The location is excellent, super-easy to get around, the hotel has a lively bar that is well-stocked and bartenders who offer great service. A big plus point for me was the room size, I was genuinely pleased(for USA city standards), it was more than adequate, the shower was fantastic and more toiletries than you need. The only one downside and why I have marked the hotel down a point on service is... Read more

Wonderful location on the very heart of Boston. Just 2 blocks from Copley and Prudential and 4 blocks from beautiful Newbury Street, it still has the charm of offering its own nice restaurant and some nice others close around. Very nice, kind and supportive staff. Easily reachable elevators, which are fast and safe, as you have to put room key card to push your floor. Nice room, with everything that really matters. Good air conditioning, good blackout curtains, nice TV. Acoustic isolation is goo... Read more

The Lowes Boston is well located and quite comfortable. Like most reputable hotels in large cities, the total cost of a stay can be substantial, but Lowes Boston gives decent value. The lobby is small, but guest rooms are large enough.

We travel worldwide, but live just outside of Boston and so we know it well. We chose this pretty hotel to celebrate an anniversary weekend, because it is in a perfect location to experience the beautiful and upscale Back Bay area without the crowds and noise. Within a 2 min. walk you are in the expansive Copley Place/Prudential shopping and dining complex or elegant Newbury Street and the hotel itself houses the popular Precint Bar and Grill, which has delicious food and a great bar! I arrived after a 4 hour drive from NY in the rain, at 12:15am to find they had released my room. Even though I'd called earlier in the day to specifically notify the front desk staff that I would be arriving after 11pm, and they confirmed with me on the phone that they had made a note in the reservation to avoid this specific situation. Sadly, I never got to see the quality of the actual hotel. While I appreciate that they took the proactive step to book me at another hotel for the night and co... Read more
