A standard Marriott in the heart of Boston. Great location in Copley Square area, but that's what you're paying for. Rooms have nice views on any side, but the windows are often dirty (city grime?) and the views are marred. Forget dining here: the restaurant is a sports bar with expensive boring food. And don't bother with room service at all. Staff are generally helpful, but it's all pretty impersonal. Valet parking is $54.

With pleasant 15F outside and metal frame windows (ice cold to the touch), our Air Condition had to work hard to keep the room at even 69F. Overall the rooms seemed a bit aged, including the bath-tub shower, but clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful - unfortunately room service does not offer any espresso based drinks, you'll have to venture down to the Starbucks on the second floor. We would agree with the comments made by another reviewer: average Marriott in great location.

great clean property staff is fantastic. pool is large and clean hot tub is hot which is great! gym is amazing and the view is fantastic. this property is connected to the hynes convention center and the copley plaza so no coat needed in the winter! my only suggestion is if you need bottled water get it before coming here they charge alot for it there is a fridge in the room. beds are small double NOT queen but comfy. the buffet at champions is good but expensive if not included in your room rat... Stayed one night for a function in town. The rooms are vey clean and the bed was very comfortable. The service was a bit slow at check-in although it was not very busy. Plenty of places to eat and shop at the Copley Place Mall downstairs. Parking garage attached but independently owned.

Very comfortable room, but the bar/restaurant average. Good bed, great location as it is accessible to shopping without going outside. Friendly staff, and a pleasant experience. Solid, but not outstanding.

Stayed here for three consecutive years at conventions; terrific service, rooms, foot, location. Hard to beat. Nearby to Copley Square, Boston Commons, subway stop nearby, restaurants a plenty near the Prudential Center. Champions Lounge on first floor a great bar to meet friends and have a drink. Also Fresh Bites inside the hotel is open all day for food. But be sure to look around the immediate area of the Hotel because lots of great food. If you do give this hotel a try, it may become on... The location is great. It is connected to a mall and the subway and a short walk to major attractions, shopping and restaurants. The Champions restaurant is much better than most hotel restaurants. The lobby is beautiful. The rooms are a bit small and dated. We had an upgraded corner river view room. The room was nice, but small for an upgraded room and the furnishings are dated. The bathroom is really small. They have an elevator system that is a little funky but once you get used to it,... Read more

Although have stayed here many times in the past, we just revisited for the first time in over 10 years; the location, right in between the western end of Copley Place and a short enclosed bridge over to the Prudential Mall, is super convenient. We had a corner King with great views over Back Bay into the Charles; the room was bright and clean, though not plush; they claim was renovated circa 2012, but room felt a bit dated though very comfortable. Easy access to newly opened food heaven Eatal... Read more

As a Marriott employee, I understand why I may have not been treated as high priority, but this was purely unacceptable. At 7pm a neighbor complained that me and my friends (celebrating a birthday by ordering pizza) were too loud. A man barged into our room without even a knock and screamed at us that we were way too loud and this was our only warning before we would be kicked out. I have never been treated like this in any Marriott I've ever been to. Huge disappointment.

With the exception of the sports bar which isn't as bad as it could be this hotel is dated, soulless and overpriced. I spent four nights here and wished I hadn't. Although my room was of a good size it was in serious need of a refresh. The bathroom for example felt light it hadnt been touched since the 80s, although it was clean. Other delights include a lift system which works occasionally and unhelpful front desk staff (told me the reason I couldn't get a lift to take me where I needed to go w... Read more
