Hotel was fabulous. Very comfortable, loved the security too (you need room card to ride elevator.) We had a family with small kids next door and expected noise, didn't hear a peep. I had never been to Boston, didn't realize how close the hotel is to the waterfront, easy walk of less than 2 miles. You can walk through Boston Common and do much of the Freedom Trail while on your walk downtown. There are lots of great restaurants around too. Highly recommend the Salty Pig and if you are down... We chose to stay in this hotel as we liked the reviews we read and we were not disappointed, the entire staff were friendly and made you really welcome the room was a good size very clean and the bed comfy the only drawback for me was the pillows were too soft it would be good if there was a choice of soft and firm in the room ( still the wife was happy ) anyway hotel in good location for local transport and its a nice walk to local attractions, all in all we relay enjoyed our stay in in Boston ... We got an "upgrade" to Room 303 (afraid to know what the previous room had looked like). This room was dark and small, with a teeny-tiny window over the desk that overlooked the other side of the building. The bathroom was really dated (other than the wallpaper which appeared the be the only update since the 90s). There really wasn't a place to keep my suitcase, it was that small. And the A/C was really loud. The service was good, and I really liked the restaurant. Food service was delicious a... Read more

My wife and I stayed one night at Loews Boston hotel after advice from a work colleague that it was a good hotel in the city (it is apparently a former police building, and says so in the outside stonework). Easy to find by following the sat nav. The valet parking at an eye-watering $50 did not impress us. Easy check in, and a lovely concierge who sketched out a city walking tour for us o a free map. Room very plushy and comfortable. Breakfast charged extra (surprise, surprise). Easy check ou... Read more

Our stay at Loews Boston over the 4th of July weekend was wonderful. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Room was spacious an bed was so comfy Bathroom has great toiletries and towels are fluffy TV has great film channels and options to rent new , which is so important when you are still awake at 3am with jet lag.

Felt very welcome, great rooms, well situated for Boston, not far from everything, close by is everything you could want from travel on busses, shuttles and shopping and eating in the vast amount of places there are to eat. Not to far from the bus shuttle or underground rail to the airport, much cheaper than taxi!

Stayed for a long weekend. The lobby and rooms are very modern and well maintained. The service at the front and the concierge was friendly, helpful and courteous. Absolutely satisfied here. The only thing I found less than stellar was the location. It is fairly close to Amtrak's Back Bay Station and the accompanying subway station there but that is about it. This is a superb hotel that is in the building of the old police headquarters of Boston. Modern and friendly inside but retaining the old charm and character of the old building. The room was spacious, clean with a big comfy bed. There is a safe, fridge and coffee maker in the room, but they have coffee/tea/hot chocolate available free of charge all day downstairs in the lobby. We had one our best trips yet thanks to the Loews Boston Hotel. It started off by being able to check into our room directly upon arriving from our red eye flight at 7am. Such a surprise and treat as we were expecting to have to figure out ways to stay awake all day and instead were able to eat breakfast and take a nap. Heaven! I liked the staff, and the design of the hotel but their inability to provide alcohol to the room after a long day was really frustrating. The Loews Back Bay is always a pleasure and the Precinct restaurant is happenin'. The location is good, an easy walk from most business meetings and right around the corner from nice shopping districts. The price this time was high and took away some of the charm.

We were there for an extended stay of 10 nights. Could be happier with the hotel. We first stayed there in June this year and decided to come back again for the second leg of our US trip. Location is unbeatable. Right in the middle of most tourist and shopping areas. Rooms were super comfortable and modern. Jennifer Stoller from the hotel was very helpful in our extended family booking and took good care of us. Porter and valet services were super efficient and friendly, all smiles. Will be our... If you are looking for a higher-end place walkable from Newbury Street, this is a good choice. Everything you'd expect in a luxurious hotel as far as room, facilities, amenities and service, are here. My only comment is that it only has 2 elevators that can get crowded easily, as in, if you're sweaty from working out at the gym, fellow passengers will get a whiff of you. Also, there was a day when one elevator was getting fixed, and I had to use the stairs up to the 6th floor, which was fine b... Read more

I loved everything about this hotel. The coffee/tea bar in the lobby, the room itself, and the location. This is definitely worthy of a 4.5 star rating. If you're going to a Sox game, the closest stop is Arlington, a couple of blocks away at most. Crowded on the train but it wasn't that many stops to suffer through. We slept on the second floor of this hotel and had no problem with noise like some of the previous posters mentioned. We found this hotel very restful. There are plenty of rest... Read more

This is an excellent hotel in a fabulous position in a lovely city. No complaints about our three day stay - it was memorable!!! But: after flying all day from the west coast, on check in we we hit a wall. Staff on reception greeted us with the news that Expedia - who had a confirmed booking for us that was booked in June, had called that morning to cancel the booking. Great!!! Staff told us that the hotel was fully booked and we would have to " walk". Not good news and a call to Expedia inform... Read more

Stayed at this hotel for my second time last week, while visiting Boston on a business trip. The hotel is located in a good location in Boston Back Bay area, close to the business location, few minuets walk from the parks and a few additional minuets of walk from the shops and harbor/ The hotel rooms are nice and clean, comfortable beds and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The Loews chain has a membership program so one can join and gain points for the next stay.

The hotel is in an excellent location, it is about three blocks from Copley Place and within an easy walk of Chinatown, the Public Gardens, and Newbury Street. Check-in was very efficient. The room was good sized, well maintained and had plenty of electrical outlets (really important these days!). The best thing was that even though we were near an elevator, it was very quiet; in fact, we were never disturbed by noise the whole week. The only thing I don't get about this hotel is why the... It was a great to see an old building like the previous Boston Police Headquarters renovated into a luxurious hotel that provides all the amenities needed for a high quality visit to the Boston area. Clean spacious rooms with very comfortable beds. Staff from the front door to maid service were extremely friendly and hospitable. After a long day of business or sightseeing, this is the place you want to come back to for rest and relaxation in a luxurious setting.

The people who work in this hotel are first rate. Everyone from the desk people to the concierge (Heather) to the valet parkers were gracious, helpful, and professional. The location was great, the room was clean and elegant. We were not excited about the frosted glass bathroom door, especially since we had adult children with us and we would have liked more privacy. Also, the double beds are a little small for two people, our shower had almost no water pressure, and the view from the room was ... Read more

Excellent boutique hotel. Easy check in. Fast service. Needed my dress pressed for early am interview and they were able to do it even though I arrived in early evening. Everyone nice and pleasant. Clean and comfortable bed. Shower had 2 heads -one on top and the other midway. Very nice! Quiet but also convenient location to visiting sites and even cvs. Only valet parking though. I would use it again.

Lovely hotel, fairly easy to find with easy access either on foot or subway. Helpful, polite and attentive staff with easy check in and out. A good start to our travels around New England. The bar area was very busy and extremely noisy but we found refuge in the restaurant which had a good choice of food and drink.

The staff here is excellent, especially Heather (concierge) who gave us excellent recommendations and was so friendly with our 3-month old. The location is great and very central, although we spent our days walking eastward to the gardens and north end so consider your itinerary before booking. Hotel was great with one exception the bathroom. Bathroom had dirt in the shower, a very discolored floor mat /carpet, lack of bath towels, they did not replace used shampoo/soap, and an under the counter light that blinked. We would have given 5 stars had it not been for the bathroom. This was an upgraded room so we wondered what the typical room /bathroom was like. The staff though was exceptional, very friendly and helpful.

All comunal areas of this hotel have TVs on at all hours with their volume on. In the communal coffee/tea room there is a jumbotron TV which befits a betting station in Vegas not a 4 star hotel in Boston. The lightening setup on the guest rooms make no sense. To have light in the room you have to turn on 3 different light sources. One of which, the bedside lamp, you have to cycle through 3 barely different light strength options to be able to turn on/off. Have always enjoyed staying here and the locations is great as it is right in the Back Bay. Asked and got a room that did not face the street. Streets around the hotel are busy and there can be a lot of noise. Service from check in to departure was attentive and helpful Only negative is the elevator is small and sometimes difficult to get on at peak times. Prices at the bar area a steep for lunch. I was really disappointed in the hotel for several reasons. First, they got our room wrong-we reserved a King size room for our honeymoon through TripAdvisor. When we arrived, they had us in a Queen size room and could not get us in a King until the next day. While they did comp our meal that evening for the inconvenience, it only got worse when we moved in the King room the next day.
