I was lucky to be provided a room for a business stay at this hotel. The hotel was very busy that week and the check-out time is fairly late; as I was arriving early from overseas I wasn't guaranteed a room upon arrival, however one of the staff at Reception was very understanding and provided me with a room immediately which was a great relief. The hotel is in a great location, and provides comfortable, spacious rooms. We were with a whole conference group and the bar downstairs has great atmo... Read more

The hotel was very well kept. The rooms are a tad small but that is because half of the room is the bathroom which is huge, has both a shower and a tub, and is very well maintained. Room itself was great and dark. Did hear a tad bit of noise from adjoining room late at night. Bed was good to sleep on, and turndown service was nice as I did not request it. Went out to dinner and when I returned about 3 hours later the room had been made and the bed was turned down for me. Very nice. Hotel ... Read more

The room is nicely appointed and interesting in design. Very roomy and very comfortable. Nice RumBar off the lobby with reasonably priced drinks. First off, I have no complaints about this hotel -- everything is top-notch. That said, I took a couple of things out of the minibar so I could put something of mine in instead -- only to find out that they have these robo-fridges that helpfully record all withdrawals so they can helpfully charge you ten bucks for a half-size coke. The front desk was very nice when I explained what I had done (I put back the solid-gold cans of coke the next day!), and they even offered to send up a separate fr... Read more

We stayed at this hotel at the start of our 10 day trip to America. We arrived on Monday afternoon and left Thursday morning. The associate at the front desk told me that he had no standard rooms available and asked me to pay $20-$30 to upgrade to a room with a view, which is absurd, given that the hotel is supposed to have standard rooms available at checkin. I loved my room and the staff was very nice. My only thought is there should have been coffee set up by the other restaurants in the morning. So many guests even asked me if I had seen coffee anywhere when I was searching do it myself? Just a thought!

I had three nights at the IC. The hotel is plush, the staff is very friendly and helpful. I arrived early and could leave my bags with the front without issue as we took a tour. The room was spacious with a great view, the beds were fresh and comfortable and the shower was awesome. I can't say enough positive things about the hotel and staff

We love this hotel and go back every year when we visit Boston. The service is always impeccable, Luis (the concierge) is always fabulous and helps us plan our stay, we enjoy the view, and the Rumba bar is a great place to grab a glass of champagne after a game. Plus it's within walking distance of many landmarks and great restaurants & shops.

This is a very high-end hotel. If you book the right room the views are amazing. The bar and restaurants are also of a very high standard. I had one of the finest Brandys ever in the bar. The hotel was recommended by a guy who is the President of a Boston technology company. This is a very slick experience that makes use of the finest cuisine that Boston has to offer.

So I'm going with 3 1/2 stars 4 girlfriends in Boston for a night out. We booked a two double bed room, but after an "upgrade" we were placed in a king bed room (yes one bed) so a roll out bed was brought up for the 4th person. 3 adult women in one bed, let's just say I did not sleep. The bed was not comfortable and the a/c seemed to shut off at some point as the room was very hot in the morning (it was close to 100 degrees in Boston this weekend). The pros: beautiful lobby, staff very friendly... Read more

Upscale gorgeous property. No "family friendly" dining options, though. Walkable to the aquarium, Log Wharf, Children's Science Museum an Boston Tea Party Ship. Lovely Waterfront location. NEBO restaurant a few doors down. Firehouse is across the street... street view rooms not great for light sleepers.

Spent last weekend in Boston, stayed here as Intercontinental's are usually in nice areas and are first rate. This was no exception. Excellent location, rooms, views, all great. Can't remember the name, but there is also great lobster roll place right next door. If Boston is your destination you cant go wrong staying here. Also beautiful bathrooms. 5 stars!

I took the water taxi from the airport right to the dock of this hotel. A wonderful way to arrive! The check-in was friendly and efficient. The rooms are nice, sleek, and comfortable. The bathrooms are really nice. I would stay at this hotel again and also give it a good recommendation.

First time traveler to Boston. Beautiful view from our hotel room with plenty of options for meals, both inside the hotel and nearby. Boston is truly an easy walking city (but strongly recommend flat shoes). It was exciting just walking through downtown streets and seeing the splendid mix of new and old buildings. The hotel was always pristine and relaxing. The hallways quiet. The pool area enjoyable. Staff very courteous and professional.

I have a love/confused relationship with the bathroom in my room. I loved the soaking tub and roomy shower, but I didn't like about the room was the "window" into the bathroom. When we made the reservation we were assured a water view room but instead got a view of a building. We weren't planning on spending much time in the room so we didn't care to bring it up. They must have been very busy when we visited since the ice machines on our floor were out of ice and when I called the front desk and... Read more

This was my 3rd time at this hotel in the past 3 years for a business conference. Nice and modern hotel, with great staff. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast and lunch were both better than average. Wifi works in-room even for Facetime / BBM video chats. Location is adjacent to the downtown core. Short walk to downtown crossing for shopping, and north end for restaurants. But a bit further walk to get to shopping on Boylston/Newbury. Only thing negative is that this hotel is located across the st... Read more

Because our room was very comfortable and contemporary and included a great view, we looked forward to returning to it after exploring lots of interesting Boston sites each day. Walking to Government Center only took 10 minutes. Aside from the location, my room was beautiful with a comfortable bed, and nice view of the Seaport. The hotel is in an excellent area to see all the sights in boston. Thumbs up for location. The staff is by far the best. The food in their restaurants is amazing and the drinks, off the chain delicious. I rated this hotel from cleanliness to comfort and experience with the staff and the dining experience, and location. I would without a doubt give it a 6 star if there was one. Thank you boston for a relaxing time...Michele carlton.

It is delightful not to have to rent a car or take a cab to get to one of Boston's finest hotels. The staff is accommodating and will find a great place to go or restaurant for you. The bartenders and servers weren't knowledgeable at all in their craft, It took me 15 minutes to get a server to give me and my girlfriends any service and the worst part is THEY GOT MY ORDER WRONG. The hotel is close to the Freedom Trail and historical sites. You only need to put on your walking shoes and go.
