I spent a night here and the gym is the only remarkable quality of the hotel. It is perfect for a full workout and way better than in comparable hotels. Room as well as staff attitude is absolutely average. Nothing or nobody outstanding here. Breakfast cannot be recommended as a price of 24$ is not fair for what they offer. Not exactly an extensive fruit selection with pineapple and 2 types of melon. One could expect way more for this price.

This hotel has a very good central location for exploring Boston - we were able to reach a number of tourist destinations on foot. The room was modern in design and appeared to be quite clean but in need of paint touch ups around the window. We arrived around midnight and were dropped on the ground floor -- had to wander around a bit down there lost with nobody to greet us. Finally a seated security guard instructed us to go to a higher floor for check in. I believe there is a sign somewhere e... Read more

An eight minute walk from South Station and otherwise conveniently located, this hotel is good for business guests. Nothing much doing here, but the room was comfy, the bed large and the service friendly. One complaint: yes, it has free wifi; but the business office charges for computer time and pages printed.

Stayed with my wife, little one, and the MIL. Concierge and Front Desk staff were awesome, very helpful. Room was comfy, only complaint was the "modern" bathroom door. Barn doors look great, and save space, but they NEED A WAY TO LOCK. Having a toddler wandering the room and being in fear of the door zipping open at any time was a little unnerving. Otherwise, great view, great room.

When one builds a hotel there is a lot of guess work required. What is the area going to look like in a couple of years, what is it going to be like in ten years. Now however the people behind the Hyatt Regency Boston have watched the 100 yards around their hotel become prime real estate in the city whereas at one point it was much less desirable. Rather pinned between the financial district and the back bay neighborhoods of Boston the clientele of the hotel are exactly what you would expect a... Read more

A very positive experience at the Hyatt Regency. The hotel and room were very clean, staff were all gracious. Our room was actually extraordinarily large and very comfortable. The hotel is in a very convenient location, near many restaurant options (including great coffee/breakfast choices and Chinatown restaurants), close to the T, and an easy walk to other attractions.

My husband and I traveled with our 2 year old to Boston and stayed a couple nights at the Hyatt Regency before meeting up with family later in the week. This hotel is located about one block from the Paramount Theater and within very close walking distance to Boston Commons. property is well cared for and, though an unusual layout, easy to navigate through. Highlight of each stay here for me is the swimming pool. Salt water and made for lap-swimming. Hard to find normally. They do keep it just a bit warm (perhaps 85) for lap swimming. Not crowded - rarely have had anyone else swimming with me, even early mornings.

My wife and I liked the hotel and location in Boston close to Boston Commons. We wished we had gotten a larger room as we were very cramped in our room. We stayed here for a family vacation, and the location to everything was great. We stayed on the 22st floor and had a beautiful view of the city. House keeping kept staffing room with 2 towels. We were 4. Multiple calls did not correct this. Any requests made to front desk required repeated calls to get done. Exercise spa distance was a workout in itself from our room. Not recommended for families. I saw multiple airline crews staying there. Leave it to them.

For our first stay in Boston we chose the downtown Hyatt Regency. Did I say downtown? I'm sure if you pay more You can find nicer digs in Boston, but the location of this hotel is hard to beat. It is at the intersection of two major subway lines. The station is basically right below the building. Like Chinese food? Chinatown is a block away. Shopping? Macy's is right around the corner. Stayed here for a conference. From the outside this looks like a new hotel however it looks to be an older one that has been remodeled. Room was fine, some noise but nothing that would prevent me from returning. Exercise area is a hike, you get half your exercise just to get there, three flights of stairs. Plenty of equipment and in good working condition. Didn't eat at the hotel as local places for breakfast, lunch and dinner are easy to walk too.

One side. Great location, friendly staff, great Lobster and Crab Fondue at Avenue One restaurant. On the other side. I always thought that in good hotels rooms for families with children will never coexist with non-noisy companies. However, on the first night we had a long time to listen to men's chants dedicated to some holiday. And on the night before departure, up to 4 hours in the morning, a great man's company had fun in the next room. It should be borne in mind that the audibility in the n... Read more

If you've stayed at other Hyatt Regency's before, you'll feel right at home. Modern décor/colors, clean rooms, up to Hyatt standards as far as look & feel go. The location couldn't be better - a block or two from the Common & start of the Freedom Trail, walking distance to all the major sites (we even walked the mile to the Pru). Views from the 20th floor were pretty good too. A few issues kept it from a 5 star rating though. The room's A/C was semi-working - we would have called down about it... Read more

Willie, the doorman, really made me feel at home right from the moment I got out of the taxi. And everyone else was extremely helpful. The rooms are good-sized, and clean. They have recently renovated, and the bathrooms especially are very well laid out, with some thoughtful extras, such as sliding bathroom doors that are frosted, and a clever night-light.
