We recently stayed overnight at the Hotel Commonwealth. We were there one night for a Red Sox game and stayed in one of the new Fenway Rooms. We have stayed there many times before, but never on the Fenway side. What a delight and what a spectacular view. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The bed and down pillows made for a wonderful night's sleep. The free wifi was a big plus. And any amenities you need--simply order on the convenient tablet provided in the room and someone promptly bri... Read more

My had a weekend convention here at the hotel so we spent and couple of night and got a great room rate. The hotel is upscale and classy. We stayed in one of the Kenmore Kings, this was a decent size room for an in city room with a larger flat screen TV than normal. The bathroom was very nice and mostly marble. The room of course was spotless. The hotel itself does not have much to offer as far as lobby, bar, etc. but there are two excellent attached restaurants on either side of it which can be... I stayed at Hotel Commonwealth for 3 nights last week (5/16-5/19) and overall it was a good experience. The customer service was very good and staff are very accommodating. My room was very nice and spacious, and the location (Kenmore, directly next to the T stop) could not be more convenient. The only 2 downsides were: 1) noise level - My room overlooked the Mass Pike and so I heard traffic all night long. and 2) cleanliness of room - the dresser drawers were dirty and a black latex glove... From our greeting and curbside service as we pulled up to Hotel Commonwealth through check out three days later, our experience was outstanding! We were in town for a college graduation and were encouraged by a friend to check out HC. We have been to Boston dozens of times and typically stayed at the larger corporate hotels and were most often very pleased. Well.....no more, Hotel Commonwealth satisfied us at every turn. The hotel team could not have been more friendly, attentive and committed t... Read more

I stay in Cambridge frequently for business, but had never stayed at Hotel Commonwealth before. I was so pleasantly surprised by everything about the property and am already planning on staying here again! The young woman at the front desk (I wish I remembered her name!) was so helpful when I checked in and offered me a room facing Commonwealth because it would be quieter than the one I had reserved since I was staying for 4 nights. I really appreciated that, and the room was fantastic! It was a... Read more

A beautiful hotel that is about experience. Just steps from Fenway, this classy spot has great ambience. Comfy beds. The service staff are amazing. A smile at every turn. Pricing can be high, but watch for deals using your booking App. Well worth the money. Greatful for their accommodations for us as we arrived from a red eye flight. A new favorite for us. We'll be back. Just hope the Redsox win next visit!

Our stay was wonderful once we were able to get into our room. It was a little hairy because we didn't get into a room until 3:05. I had to get a little nasty about it which I wasn't comfortable doing but I had requested early check in months in advance. I was fine that we didn't get it but at the check in time at 3:00 the room still wasn't ready. That was unacceptable considering the room was 500 a night.

A couple of blocks from the Fenway ballpark, a few yards from the T (Boston's subway) and a short walk from dozens of great restaurants. Nice to see some genuine Bostonians on staff. Fun listening to them give directions to the "hah-bah."

I came to town for my 30th college reunion and stayed at the Hotel Commonwealth. It is a really great hotel--convenient to so many things, with nice, large modern rooms, good internet and a great atmosphere.

The Hotel Commonwealth has a much modern look than I remember from my last visit eight or nine years ago. I remembered ornate and stately; this is sleek and modern. In any event, it was a great experience, with comfy robes, wonderful bathrooms, and great staff. It's odd that the staff had to specially bring me a coffeemaker these days, and it had to go in the bathroom in my room because the room didn't have enough flat-surface space near an electrical outlet. But that was a small issue; the rest... Read more

We were greeted by Nick at the front desk who was able to check us in early which was great. Unfortunately our room was not quite up to par so we spoke to Nick and he quickly found us another room. We were very pleased with the comfortable accommodations and attentive task.

This hotel is nicely appointed, great looking lobby and rooms (we were on the 4th floor and facing Fenway Park). We were in Boston to register our daughter at Boston University. It is nicely situated to the BU campus as well as Fenway Park. Both are in walking distance of the hotel. There was a glitch with room service breakfast. It never arrived and we had to leave for our day long orientation process hungry. When I called the front desk to inform the hotel of the mishap, I was told they ... Read more

Carly Sigel did a phenomenal job coordinating and directing my two day conference. She was incredibly attentive to all our needs. From arranging the specifics for rooms for all 26 guests, to our conference space, to our reservations at Island Creek Oyster Bar, The Hawthorne and Eastern Standard. Special thanks also to Chase Sutton at Island Creek and Marissa Swiech at Eastern Standard. The Hawthorne was excellent also! Looking forward to our next conference in Boston.. This hotel never disappoints us! The rooms are great and the staff is amazing. Anika is especially helpful and welcoming! My husband left his shoes in his room and they were promptly returned to us. We will be back soon!

loved the hotel. We stayed there for a family event, so didn't have much choice in hotels, but we were thrilled with the experience. Staff was welcoming and accommodating. We got there at 10am, check in at 3, but were allowed to get into an available room right away. The room was spacious, clean, modern. what was lacking: no air vents in the bathroom/shower area room service on our floor was slow to pick up people's empty food trays, so they stayed in the hallway for up to 24h! Airconditioni... Read more
