This is a great hotel for any visitor to Boston. Central location close to Logan, within walking distance to Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, waterfront and North End. Lobby spans Broad Street and another street making it confusing for Uber drivers. Much renovated bedrooms and baths are exquisite. Corner quiet library off the bustling lobby is unexpected with lots of old interesting books to peruse while waiting. Handsome lobby bar and restaurant franchise changing hands so may be a bit iffy i... Read more

This was a clean and welcoming hotel. It was easy to walk around and see some local attractions even though I only had a short time in town. The staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the new restaurant is still under construction, but the food that's available currently is good.

Hotel is only a couple of blocks from Faneuil hall and a 6 minute walk from south station. My room was spacious and up to date. Front desk was very helpful and the bellman always had a smile. Compared to the other hotels in the area, their rate was less.

While I was upgraded to a suite (due to Hilton status), it was a stay filled with numerous issues. I would unlikely stay here again. room ‚?? king size suite ‚?? spacious with a living area and bedroom. I believe this used to be the old wyndham. While they swapped in the typical Hilton d√©cor ‚?? traditional wannabe regency furniture, with a touch of ugly, they did not bother to fix the room so the changes would not be noticeable. Next to the bed were a bunch of drilled holes where the old hea... Read more

This hotel and staff were outstanding during our visit. The service given to our group was just exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble and they proved over and over to be so helpful. The hotel was clean and well cared for. The rooms were wonderful and spacious. We will be staying at this hotel each time we visit Boston. The location was also wonderful - within walking distance to EVERYTHING! A wonderful trip!

Although we've been to Boston many times, this was our first stay at this particular Hilton. We travel frequently and the Hilton chain is almost always a first choice. It was a bit farther from "T" stops than we're used to but overall the location was downtown Boston if nothing else. The hotel was clean, ordered and appointed. The staff was adequate but there was a very apparent lack of communication between levels. On more than one occasion, a simple request was not delivered up (or down) the... Read more

Good central location for a lot of Boston attractions. We ended up here by chance via last minute 40% off Travelocity 'mystery' ( don't know your hotel until after you book) booking. Valet parking $51, but save money by parking at Post Office Sq parking garage (3 min walk from hotel) for 9$ night starting after 5pm. Weekend rate I think.

The Hilton Boston Downtown has a very convenient location, but there are definitely some things that are in need of a refresh or just a little bit more TLC now that the property is aging. I was with my family and we had a 1-bedroom suite, and you would think that the suites would be better cared for than a standard room - this was not the case. I stay at a lot of Hilton properties all over the world and would probably say that this one is below average even by chain standards. Examples of what... Read more

This is a great location in a quiet area. We almost stayed down by the wharf and are glad we didn't once we went inside. It was filled with tourists in the lobby. Our room was very nice. We had an elegant shower rather than a tub/shower. The floor of the shower felt slippery so be careful. The hotel is quiet and subdued. The free continental breakfast was very lacking so we used the $10 voucher towards a nice breakfast. The hotel is an easy 1/2 mile to Faneuil Hall.

Walking distance to the Freedom Trail, the harbor, shopping, restaurants and the subway. The staff are all very nice and helpful. The only negative is that the restaurant in the hotel does not have very good service for breakfast. Very slow and we always had to ask for more coffee. The restaurant cocktail service was great in the evening.

The Hilton is in a great location. Well within walking distance to the Freedom Trail and all the downtown attractions. The hotel rooms are nice. It has all the amenities you would expect in a Hilton hotel. The free wifi is not always free. Depends on when you log in. The hotel restaurant, 89 Broad, is a different story. Service was absolutely horrendous. On a Tuesday with two thirds of the restaurant empty it took over an hour to get my meal. They had no draft beers since their draft s... Read more

The room is not the best we have had. Small closet space. Shower floor very slick when wet. They have a funky automatic lighting system that leaves the bathroom light on for quite some time. In the AM the lights abruptly come on, blinding me!! There was a lack of hooks in the bathroom to hang clothing. Hard to get the temperature adjusted. Had to call maintenance. No views...just next door buildings. Not sure we will return. John the concierge was delightful. Bright spot of the hotel.

Room size was surprising small. There was not enough space for my wife and I to each open our suitcases at the same time. Bathroom was horribly tiny and tight. $51 to park overnight isn't a function of the Hilton but more a function of the location. Location is excellant

Decent hotel if lacking in facilities. Staff friendly and welcoming. Location is good - between business and tourist areas. A bit dead at weekends though. Rooms very average - characterless. Not a bad place to stay but will probably try somewhere else next time.

This hotel is close to everything you could ever want to do downtown. Very close to all the trains to take you to Fenway, the airport or river cruises. Just ask the concierge anything, they are top notch!! We did the Freedom Trail tour and it was very good. Check Living Social for $7 tickets. We also did the Old Town Trolley tour hop on hop off. We stayed on the whole time to get a feel for the city, then went back to the places we wanted to stay longer. And a very short walk from the Hilton!

Firstly on check in . I was nice to check in staff as diamond member was not even offered an upgrade. I was given the most horrific rooms with uncomfortable beds. On complaining I was moved room to a nice one. I said the bed was uncomfortable rather than apologising I got rebuffed that they were not. I was then charged for breakfast in morning which was incorrect. Again staff not very friendly. In the middle of the night I had someone banging on my door waking me up. I called reception and ... To start, this hotel is in a very good location to get everywhere and not too far away from very good restaurants. The rooms are ok. I have stayed two times in 2016 with Diamond status and received simple rooms with no view at all. Breakfast is a disaster if you get the voucher. Overall average and nothing more.

We brought my 18 year old son to Boston and wanted to stay within walking distance to many of the attractions in Boston. The beautiful building looks more like an office building than a hotel but was beautiful and convenient. We were very pleased with the location as we could walk to the North End easily, Faneuil Hall, Long Wharf and Chinatown. We had a suite on the 14th floor which was huge for an urban hotel! We were thrilled with the size of the living room, bathroom and bedroom! We foun... Read more

I travel to Boston several times a year with work and have stayed at this hotel a few times. Each time it seems to be getting more rundown. The bar downstairs was good, but the menu changed for the worse last time I was there. Concierge is fine, but I found front desk a bit rude and the general condition of the rooms, gym and facilities to be getting quite tired. It is also fairly expensive. While it is very convenient I am unlikely to stay here again.

The location is priceless when it comes to this hotel. It is centrally located in the heart of Boston near all attractions we were wanting to see over the weekend, the Aquarium, Faneuil Hall and North End. The hotel itself is a decent hilton type with the same commodities a hilton guest is used to. It could use a bit of a refresher, carpets, lobby area could use a little "21st century pick me up". However the service is great and that makes the experience wonderful.

Spent three nights at this Hilton for a business trip. Not usually fond of the big chain hotels as they promise and don't always deliver, but this Hilton delivered all. From the greeting and help of the bell staff to the front desk staff to the cleaning staff - everyone was friendly, helpful and very good at their jobs. Checking in a little early, did not expect a room, but they found a great room ready for me. It was clean, spacious - a king size bed, two arm chairs, flat screen TV, desk, and t... Read more

It may have just been an off night but my room was dirty, the hotel staff doesn't identify gold or platinum members or provide room upgrades. Be aware of the complimentary breakfast because only fruit and oats are included in this. If you eat anything else you can expect an almost $25 bill.

In late May, we were in town to attend a Boston College graduation ceremony and chose this hotel for it's location and accommodations. We were traveling with our three kids (2 college-age and 1 high school) and we booked a one bedroom suite with two queen beds in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. Great location and the guys that work out front were very helpful and pleasant. Rest of staff indifferent, room so dark it felt like a dungeon. The buffet breakfast has no place in a Hilton. This was the conference preferred hotel and the conference was held at the Metro Meeting Center which is literally just a few blocks away.
