The rooms were incredibly small. I am a Hilton Honors Member and was not given a room on that floor. It was supposedly full. My friends who went wee not Hilton Honors members and they received a nicer room on that floor, checking in several hours later. The rooms were more than $300 a night and probably the smallest rooms I have stayed in ever. The bathroom was so small that there was not really space between the sink and the toilet to stand and wash your hands. Water pressure was bad. Wat... Read more

We recently stayed 3 nights at the Hilton Back Bay to take in the sites of Boston. The Hotel is well located in the Back Bay section of Boston with lots of restaurants and bars within a short walk. Fenway Park is also only a 20 minute walk and we could see the Park from our room which overlooked the Charles River. One nice feature is the On/Off Bus is located directly outside the Hotel, very convenient. To go to Quincy Market or The North End required a cab though, probably would have taken 45 m... Read more

Although frequent visitors to Boston, we had never stayed at this particular Hilton before....we will again! The location is near everything you could wish - restaurants, shopping, tourist attractions, Fenway Park, etc. It's also ideally located to T stops that will get you anywhere else you want to go in the greater Boston area. The hotel staff were among the most pleasant we have encountered and our room was spacious, comfortable and perfectly clean.

The front desk agent who checked us in was by far the sweetest person ever! She was so accommodating. I apologize, but I can not remember her name. We had a personalized card from both Megan in sales, and Josh from concierge, congratulating us on our anniversary. Such a fantastic experience and I am a VERY picky hotel guest. Not one thing that I would have changed. We WILL be back

The Hilton Boston back Bay is a very nice hotel. So close to downtown, the Charles and of course Fenway. We had a wonderful couples weekend for my wife's Birthday. Boylston St. is around the corner with great restaurants and Newbury St. is right there with all its shops. This location is great.

Must be an older building; very loud door noise in rooms on upper floors. Kept me awake. My experience witht he Hilton properties in general is that they are overpriced, Hilton and the associated hotels seem to be operating on past reputation, they are not worth the price anymore. This is the second Hilton Associated property that was very loud. (the other one was in Ithaca NY). Everywhere else I go there is free complimentary WiFI, but not Hilton unless one is a hilton Honors member.

Poor service and awful internet connection. Staff was not attentive to problems. Check in not available when promised twice. Cost of hotel for this type of service is not worth the hassle. There are many other hotels that offer better service, amenities and treatment than this location. It is hard to justify the cost when treated this poorly.

Just don't. Bar had only Chardonnay for white. Out of everything else.m We were told at 10:58 that the kitchen closed at 11. Would not serve. When we went to sit down at the bar, it was covered in crumbs. The bartender actually put our drinks down on top of the crumbs. When we got to our room and tried to call room service (open until 12), the phone did not work. These are pretty fundamental issues. Don't waste good money staying here. I am certain there are better places to stay.

We recently had an overnight stay at this hotel. We will be back again and again and there is one reason and one reason alone: a true gentleman named Calvin. Calvin was there at the front desk to welcome us as though we were old family friends visiting from out of town. He brought treats for our two little children, played with them, sincerely wanted to be certain that all of our needs were met and truly exuded a warmth and joy that would make anyone at Hilton's Corporate Office grin from ear to... Although I was in Boston for business, this hotel is a great location for doing quick tourist attractions like the Freedom Trail and Newbury St. My room was good sized, clean, and bright. The coffee pot didn't work very well but the small fridge was nice. The bed was comfy and the super sized pillows were amazing! Where can I get those pillows for my own house? The exercise equipment was ample and modern including free-weights. I will definitely stay here again.

Aside from the good location in Back Bay, this Hilton is awful. The rooms are outdated with oversized furniture and hard-to-reach electric outlets. Only a handful of TV channels actually worked. This hotel was ok. The rooms are pretty strangely shaped because of the location and shape/layout of the building. Maybe it was because we were staying in a corner room?? I had always wanted to see the Boston Pops and firework display on July 4th, so selecting a hotel that afforded a good location was imperative to me. Spent a week in Boston attending my doctoral residency at NEU. My husband came with me and we chose the Hilton Back Bay for it's location to NEU and because we are both HHonors members. Location was perfect. We reserved a high floor, king room with panoramic views. The room as a bit smaller than I expected but it was good. Interestingly, even though we were on the 25th floor, we still heard some street noise. not much but every so often..so choose a high floor! The service was excellent; ... Read more

Excellent hotel, a very good location, and outstanding staff. Breakfast was very good, and the staff was very attentive. It was about a five minute to the subway, and the same distance to the Prudential Center shopping mall.

Very clean hotel in walking distance to many fine restaurants and Fenway Park. Hotel was very clean and provided us with the amenities we were looking for during the weekend. The gym, indoor pool, and sun deck was very nice for a city hotel.

Spent three night here with our two children. Room spacious enough for four but beds need to be replaced as rolled together. Paul at the bar is a great asset to the hotel, such a friendly guy, remembered our order from the previous night, great service, thanks Paul. The pool is ok but could do with a bit more 'looking after'. Great location for Fenway & Newbury Street. Cheese & wine tasting in the lobby was a nice touch. Would happily visit again but would request a better view.

We are overjoyed with the service and kindness the staff showed us. Calvin Cherry at the front desk is the BEST!! He saw we were there for the weekend to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. He took the time to really get to know us and made us feel at home and special. He upgraded our room so we had an excellent view. When we returned that evening there was a special gift (champagne and chocolate covered strawberries) waiting for us. Soooo nice!! Calvin also included breakfast for us during... Read more

We escaped to the city for a one night get away and could not have been more pleased with our choice. We were in a corner room, that was quiet and had fabulous panoramic views. The Prudential, Boston Public Library, Copley Square, and Newbury street are all within walking distance. During your stay, I hope you are lucky enough to speak with Vernon, he is a true asset to the hotel. Helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and smiling every time we saw him! I am very sensitive to cigarette smoke. Prior to check-in, I called on two occassions to request and confirm that I would be receiving a non-smoking room. After being reassured and checked in, I arrived at the 19F smelling lingering cigarette smoke. Immediately, I called the front desk to have the room switched to another "non-smoking room." Instead, the front desk sent housekeeping to spray the room. The lingering smoke left me with a severe headache for several days thereafter.

I stay at this hotel very often for business. It's a really good hotel; extremely clean, rooms a huge for a major city, Starbucks in the lobby, excellent doorman in the morning for taxis, wonderful location close to shops bars and restaurants to walk to. Fitness center is comprehensive and bigger than many hotel gyms. They have also recently stepped up service; not sure if this is new management or just a renewed focus but it's visible. Solidly, consistently good.

I came for a conference in Boston and was treated with some of the best hotel service. The concierges were very friendly and welcoming. When I got to my room, I was greeted with a great view of the city with mechanically assisted drapes. Upon my departure, they were very accommodating with my bags and even gave me a temporary key (after checkout) to change into travel clothes in the gym. Excellent hotel.

Returned to Boston for a three night summer New England vacation stay. Last stay was five years ago. Each time I'm reminded why Boston is one of my favorite walkable cities. Checked into the Hilton Back Bay with a Diamond reservation. From the initial front desk greeting to check out, the attentive staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Highlights included the spotless room, ample daily breakfast in the Executive lounge, evening hors d' oeurves, and the refreshing indoor pool and ... Read more

Our stay with the Hilton family in Boston was wonderful. We were welcomed by a very gracious host named Clarence, who made us feel at home the entire time. He selected a beautiful corner room for us with un unbelievable view. Clarence knew that we were going to be out late, so he gave us a late check out time. This allowed us time to enjoy the pool and whirlpool before our departure, which was some much needed relaxation time for us. Everything about our stay was excellent, and we will definitel... Back bay area is a posh historic area of this heritage city. If you have a conference at Hynes convention centre this is certainly the second best option to stay, the best being the Sheraton. Check in was very swift and smooth, my room was on the 12th floor(1202). The location was just great. The convention centre is just a few minutes walk. If it rains take the route through the Sheraton. Breakfast spread was nothing great to talk about. Just what you expect in a business hotel. The wifi w... Read more

I stayed at the hotel the first week of August for a family trip. Hotel prices are very expensive in Boston. I considered the Hilton Back Bay for prime location, reasonable rate and there is a swimming pool. The overall stay was fine. When we checked in, the front desk lady was not too friendly, but the room she assigned was fine: clean and comfortable. The pool was disappointing as it is very dated. It does not look like the hotel picture at all. Anyway, we considered we spent most time out and... Read more

We stayed at the Hilton Back Bay in 2015 after attending the James Taylor show at Fenway. The hotel is located a short walk from Fenway so it was an easy decision to go back again this year! Staff is very helpful and the rooms are clean. If you are in Boston for an event or game at Fenway don't hesitate to book this hotel. Tip: I got a better rate through Trip Advisor than on Hiltons site.

Arrived here an hour early after our stay in NYC, it wasn't ready but we were early and we were offered another room but not the room type we had booked. We had booked a superior King room which was high above the city and away from any noise. Our room was spacious, well equipped, clean and kept clean during our stay. The staff were professional, friendly and helpful. Just a short walk away there are lots of restaurants and bars to choose from. Overall this is a very good hotel.

Stayed for two nights to attend a conference across the street at Sheraton. Sheraton was overpriced so I booked here. It is literally a minute walk from Sheraton and prudential center. In middle of all the fun and shopping. Area is quite hip and lively. There are nice places to eat nearby. I got an upgrade to 23 floor with beautiful views. Pros: everything in the room with a small refrigerator too. Standard coffee machine, and little amenities but nothing special. Amazing temp control. Perfe... Read more

I stay here often, as it's convenient and comfortable. I especially like the Diamond Lounge, which Hilton Honors people have access to, as it has a full breakfast, as well as coffee, water and soft drinks during the day. The fitness center is big. Beds are comfortable and the pillows are down, a big plus from my standpoint. Free internet for Hilton Honors guests as well.

We stayed on a Friday night, coupling it with a Sox game and fun activities the next morning. We stayed in an upper floor "Superior" King room. The view was spectacular - we could even see the harbor in the distance! Other rooms have great views of Cambridge or look west towards Fenway, etc. Our room was clean and spacious with everything in perfect condition. The hotel is conveniently located and a short walk to Fenway Park. Parking is expensive $43/night but very convenient and safe. The rooms were clean and updated. My only complaint was a faint smoke smell that was either the hidden remains of a former smoking room or someone not abiding by the "no smoking" policy.

Was there for a weekend with a friend and we each had a room on the 24th floor. The views were great, could watch it for hours. The bed was very comfortable and our rooms were quiet, so we slept great. I also used the pool which was a good size and temperature. It was walking distance to Newbury street, and when we did need a cab, there was someone there to hail one for us.

I arrived at the hotel around 9PM, there were two associates at the counter talking. As I approached them, none of them seemed to care, I had to start asking I want to check in please, one associate told me wait a sec and then he just disappeared and went back to the office. The other associate who checked me in literally did not look at me, and only said three phrases to me: last name, first name and elevator something (his voice is so low I couldn't hear him clearly.) Good location, close to shopping/dining, and a short walk to Boston Common, Cambridge, Museums, etc. The room itself was fairly standard (nothing "wowed" me) but I didn't spend a whole lot of time in it to care. Overall the hotel was very nice. The only reason I didn't give a 5 is bc nothing wowed me except the bartender at the restaurant. I don't remember his name but he said he was from Cuba. He was awesome and recommended some restaurants to us. The only disappointments I had was the view from the room and the over priced room service. I booked the panoramic Window room.
