I have no complaints about the hotel itself, but know that you're not in the nicest area of Boston or within easy walking distance of popular landmarks. That said, we saved ~$100 per night by staying at this hotel and taking a $10 Uber into the city so, to us, it was worth it. Full, hot breakfast was included but avoid the "scrambled" eggs. Very easy to access the hotel from the I-93 - big perk since driving in the city is a bit hectic. On the flip side, if you're a light sleeper the traffic out... Read more

As most Hampton Inns, this is a comfortable and well maintained hotel. However, it is across the street from Boston Medical. This means you'll hear a siren every few minutes. They do seem to hold the noise down at night. We never were woken at night by sirens. It is convenient to a bus line that runs all the way into Cambridge. There are also several decent restaurants nearby.

We stayed 3 nights cheapest place in Boston with the famous Hampton breakfast couldn't be beat. Upside nice little gym good coffee and breakfast, location 1.8 miles from Boston Common. Downside the transients like to hang around outside every morning, but there pretty nice people though a bit odd and doped up. We are a walking couple and spent our days walking from the hotel to as far as MIT and Fenway the only way to really see Boston.

This Hampton Inn seems like a new addition to the area. It was very clean and modern inside, and located just a few walkable blocks from great restaurants and shopping. Prior reviews mention the presence of addicts outside the building, given it's close proximity to a clinic at Boston Medical Center. While this was true, we didn't experience any problems. I would warn anyone who is a little sensitive to this that they may want to choose a different hotel or take an Uber a few blocks up. This... Read more

Very clean and comfortable rooms. Upscale for a Hampton Inn. Breakfast offered was above average, several hot choices. Free shuttle service offered to and from several hotels in the area. Parking garage across the side street from the Hampton - reduced rate available. Small pool and gym area but it suffices. Within walking distance (10-15 minute walk) to the T. Area around the hotel can appear to be sketchy at night - be aware. Several sandwich shops in the area that deliver to hotel.

Boston area hotels are many, but good ones are...not so many. I did not choose to stay in this hotel, and when I saw that it basically overhangs a major artery I was not pleased. But I was able to have a room on the inside. It was quiet, and very comfortable. Breakfast was good, as was the coffee. Internet worked well. Good restaurant right next door. The downside is the neighborhood is not one you want to walk in at night. Think cabs or uber to other locations. Also window AC unit is noisy.

This facility was value for the money. It is a newer building on the South end of Boston and adjacent to the Boston Medical complex. While not centrally located to the Boston historical attractions and the waterfront they are easily accessible via public transportation. It is close to Cambridge which was the objective of my visit. The amenities (pool, workout room) were conveniently located on the 9th floor across the hall from my room. In general, the facility was very clean and the breakfa... Read more

Again, we stayed at a Hampton Inn, and they NEVER disappoint us! It was excellent, although we had to pay $25 for parking but you expect that in large tourist cities. The pool water was cold so we didn't swim, but the breakfast was first class, room was HUGE, quiet very satisfied

Shuttle was 15 minutes late to pick us up; I did the early check in and room was confirmed only to find out that my room and been changed (to a different floor also), by account was billed 2 weeks prior to check in even though they told me it would be billed upon check in. Housekeeping did really lousy job leaving trash and leaving water in ice bucket & did not replace paper cups. I won't stay here ever again.

A lovely hotel in downtown Boston, I have to say the staff member is totally awesome and really helpful, there's plenty of attraction around. This is a very clean friendly hotel with lovely staff and reasonably priced. Unfortunately it is smack bang next to a druggies paradise street. Didn't sleep much as next to the hospital also so sirens all night and fights and swearing druggies outside below. Real shame as a good hotel. Didn't feel safe walking out the hotel at all and relieved when we got back.

A shuttle is provided to the Longwood area and makes it very convenient. They also offer a hospital rate, still pricey but for Boston it was good. The area of the hotel has many homeless services and we did not venture out of the hotel, although we felt very safe inside. It was a little noisy, but thats just a city. The bed quality was excellent, it was very clean, breakfast was good, and the staff were very nice. Nothing to do in the area tho.

Love the hotel and staff. More than willing to make you feel at home and so helpful and accommodating. We were on the 9th floor, across from the indoor pool. We used the hotel shuttle to get into South Station and continue from there with our site seeing of Boston. Cab back to the hotel is $16-20. Hotel is easy to get to and easy to get to the express way. This hotel is next to a hospital, so sirens and people hanging around.

We have stayed at a lot of Hampton Inns and Hilton brand hotels and this was by far the worst we've ever stayed in. Positive things; the staff was friendly and helpful, clean room, clean lobby/breakfast area, bed was comfortable. Negative things; our shower didn't work well...the mechanism to make the water pressure come out was broken and the lower shower head (the handicapped one) was terrible. I am currently staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites and am very pleased with the accommodations. As a clean freak, I am wary of staying at hotels, but this hotel is spotless and I mean antiseptic. Plenty of other reviews on this property, and I agree with a lot. Comfortable rooms, in not the best neighborhood. I don't think it's overpriced for Boston, which is just expensive unless you go far away from the center. I generally appreciate Hampton Inns. The room-centric model means you're more comfortable for less price, and you give up some things like having food/bar/other amenities. Which a lot of the time is an exchange I'm quite happy to make.
