The Double Tree Bayside has everything I want in a hotel, as mentioned in the title. The location, near a subway station, was perfect for us to get around. We were planning on visiting the JFK Library, so it worked out well. You'll have to walk a bit if you want to visit a restaurant nearby though. A number of colleagues and I stayed at this hotel for the sake of convenience as it was located near our conference site. Hotel staff was exceptional, everyone said Hello including the maintenance workers and housekeeping when passing them in the halls. The staff at the desk were very helpful and friendly!! The shuttle was an added benefit, and the T station for the red line was a very short walk. There is a nice beach a short walk away also. This was an excellent hotel!!

The room is nice and clean. Comfortable and spacious. Also, it's a walking distance to mass transit, very convenient. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Love the free cookies at check-in. The only problem is no pets allowed. Had to leave my husband with the dog while attending a relative's college Graduation.

the hotel is noisy when people closing their room doors, it comes with a loud bang and the whole floor vibrates. The air conditioning is terrible to control. The toilet does not flush well. The housekeeping service is poor. Worst of all is the oriental bartender, he was late opening the bar and he did not even bother to acknowledge us when we were sitting on the couch directly across from him.

When I first arrived there was only one room available out of my two. Agent said there was nothing she can do, so I gave that room to my elderly in laws. The hotel is older and not what I expected given the amount of money we paid. Features and amenities are outdated. I wouldn't stay again unless I received a really good rate. I stay at Hilton properies almost weekly and this was the worse value I have experienced in awhile.

My husband and I stayed here over the past weekend when we travelled from Maine for a Red Sox game.The facility was clean, and the staff very friendly. From the second we arrived at reception to check in, the excellent, friendly, efficient service began. We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights as part of a longer trip to the USA. The rooms are very comfortable and the property is 5 minutes walk away from the nearest subway station and an excellent sandy beach. Staff at reception were particularly helpful. Stayed at the property to attend a friend's wedding. The concierge was very helpful giving directions to the reception and local running areas. The on site restaurant had a nice selection of pastries, fruit and cereals for the breakfast buffet. They also had an omelet station. very nice. The rooms were comfortable, but showed some wear on the sofa cushions and trim paint. The location is very convenient to Harvard and some of the other universities in the area.

So close to JFK/UMass station but close enough to downtown. Great access to Harbor Point and metro, everywhere easy to reach. Active area in day, peaceful and pleasant at night. I almost feel guilty for slagging this hotel off because the reception staff were brilliant, very helpful and friendly, but bluntly this is not a Hilton-standard hotel even though it charged Hilton room rates. Got off to a bad start because the shuttle pick up never arrived at Boston-Logan. We were pleased to be upgraded to the "Hilton Hhonors" floor as gold members. Desk clerk very helpful and friendly. Room was very comfortable though did not see a coffeemaker as earlier reviewer stated. Room had lots of nice towels and extra toiletries. The DoubletreeClub Boston Bayside is a great tourist hotel, with clean, spacious rooms and comfortable beds, just what you need after a long day sightseeing! The staff are friendly and helpful. The T subway is a short walk away and four stops will take you to the centre of Boston. Have a good time and don't be put off by some of the previous negative comments!

We only stayed for one night, but I would definitely come back again! The rate is very reasonable for the city. The lady at the front desk (I feel bad I cant remember her name!) let us check in an hour early and was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. I carefully chose this hotel as I needed free airport shuttle, close proximity to the "T" and wanted to keep cost below $300 per night. Unfortunately, the hotel did not meet my expectations. Booked two rooms for family, including grandparents. Spacious suites, clean rooms. Good location, even if difficult at first to find your way in and out (tight turns and just in off highway entrance). Friendly and accommodating staff, especially bellmen. Garage had ample parking.

Friend and I stayed at Double Tree in Boston. Excellent location - 2 blocks from MBTA and walking distance to the JFK Presidential Library. Hotel Staff were excellent in meeting all of our needs. Provided directions on how to get to Faneuil Hall and other attractions, plus made recommendations.

Location was clean, kept up and had professional, helpful staff. The metro was a short walk down the road which made it easy to get in to city of Boston within a few stops, without using personal car for the trip. My husband and I stayed here July 3-12. We stayed on the 6th floor and our room was very nice. It was clean, we had clean towels everyday, the beds were comfortable and our view was the parking lot but in the distance you can see the bay. They don't not have microwaves or fridges but you can request one and they do charge $10 a day for them. If you want a high quality hotel at a price most of us can afford, try this place. It is 5 minutes walk from the subway that takes 15 minutes to get into Boston. The staff are friendly and courteous and the rooms are of a hit standard. Our only minor grumble was that our TV had reception problems that we mentioned to the staff but the problem was never fixed and an explanation wasn't provided. Other than that, this is a good place to stay.

We love the doubletree. On this particular stay, my son was turning 18 and when I was checking in I mentioned it in conversation. By the time we got our bags and got to the room, they had delivered a birthday card with a box of chocolates. I was very impressed. They also have the best pillows!

Was here with my 14 year old daughter for 5 days. It was really nice. Parking was free, we got free wi fi, and 4 complimentary breakfast coupons. - Didn't use them tough. However the food we bought (sandwich) was great! The hotel is close to the train, only a 5 min walk. We would stay here , if we were to visit Boston again.

The staff at this hotel is wonderful. Very knowledgable of the area and willing to answer any questions you may have. The complimentary pick up service from the airport to the hotel was a plus. Apparently the shuttle also goes to various spots in downtown Boston, so I just wish I was informed of that. Would definitely stay again.

My client is across the street so this is my go-to hotel. I stay here at least one a month. But it's enjoyable to stay here. The staff is amazing and customer-focused (Markus is the best!). My hotel experience was pretty good. The hotel is on the outskirts of Boston in the Dorchester neighborhood. Access to the subway (The"T") is very convenient but not recommend after dark if your traveling alone. The hotel shuttle will take you to Logan Airport or to Amtrak (South Station). If you want a big room, clean and a view of a parking lot just go there. WIFI is not free, only if you become member of "the club" you get the free password. Take a room as hoigh as possible to get bayview. Not a bad hotel but not recommendable either. There is much attention for safety, see picture.

We recently stayed at the DoubleTree Boston Bayside for our last night in Boston before flying home. Not only was the room very comfortable with a great view of the bay, but the staff was very accommodating and pleasant. We had a shuttle to the airport when we were ready to leave that was very nice. We will stay here on our next visit, as you can save a minimum of $100/night vs. staying in Backbay with a T stop (subway) virtually within a block of the hotel. Great value!!

We are Hilton honors members and received free wifi. It was a lousy connection. There was a used bandaid on the floor of my room. The Starbucks isn't actually a Starbucks, they just serve Starbucks coffee (which the ordering is very haphazard and overpriced.) it's near the subway, but the neighborhood isn't great. The hotel is priced too high for the reasons above.

As others have mentioned, the location in Dorchester is less than ideal for sightseeing but it is a 4 minute walk to the subway "T". Rates are fair but do NOT include the over priced breakfast buffet. The only other issue we had was that housekeeping never changed our ice bag/bucket or brought new cups. Room was large and fit our family very well. Location was very convenient. Was able to leave our rental car parked and take the "T" into Boston to walk the Freedom Trail and do other site seeing. This is a nice hotel. Room sizes are good and ours included free WiFi, 2 bottles of water and a cookie on arrival. The staff were all friendly and the room was clean. Only complaints were that the cleaning staff only replaced 1 of our towels not both and we requested a late checkout via the app (to 4pm) but when I tried to confirm at the desk the lady very abruptly told me I was wrong as they didn't do a 4pm checkout only 2pm, which she booked in for us. We chose this hotel because it was close to the JFK library. We were pleased to find that it also offers transportation from the cruise ship terminal as well as airport transportation. An overnight stay after a Friday afternoon flight into Boston worked very well. It is only a short distance to travel - and GPS can easily take you through South Boston to avoid the snarled up traffic on the Boston interstates. Driving south on Saturday morning was simple. I would not recommend this hotel. It is badly in need of room renovations. There were flies in Cafe and the food looked picked over. The room furniture was frayed. Staff did not acknowledge or provide loyalty club benefits. Shower pressure a trickle.

The only thing that was missing was a pool for this location and offering the other people free continental breakfast. The staff went out of their way to make sure that we all had what we needed. Gave us amazing recommendations for places to go as well as offered us the shuttle to and from the airport for free. This hotel quite simply cannot be beat. With the red line T station virtually at the front door to the hotel, you can access any part of Boston. Beautiful view of Logan Airport and Boston Bay from back rooms. Short walk to JFK library and if you're feeling up to it, a nice walk to Castle Island Park. Again if I was to travel to Boston, this would be my absolute first choice to stay.

I chose this hotel mainly by price and by brand (Hilton). It is close to a transit station, but looking back I would probably spend more just so that I could walk to the places that interest me near downtown. The hotel shuttle will pick you up and drop you off at two really nice restaurants in South Boston - Lincoln's and Amrheins. I believe this was our 7th or 8th stay at this particular hotel and it is always enjoyable. The rooms are clean, parking is easy and the red line T stop is within easy walking distance. This time we took a 10 minute Uber to Harpoon for less than $10 and came back with plenty of time to spare to get to Fenway for the Pearl Jam show. Boston was jam packed this weekend and the DoubleTree came through for us again by being the best bang for our buck. I'm sure we'll be back soon!

The location was a little crazy to get to, but once there, you could settle in easily and relax knowing that you're being taken care of. Chocolate chip cookies await when you check-in and even if you need for a late night snack! They are delicious. Nice place. Workers were friendly but nobody smiled!!! Room were nice, lots of electrical outlets, nice sheets and pillows (4) all 4 were the same hardness.....the fan took a long time to turn on and turn off after pushing the button.... and I had a phone call and had to turn it off so I had a little wait before I could hear my customer on the phone. I called for a 5:00am shuttle to the airport and left at 5:11???? Great location!!!!

We were very happy with our choice of hotel. Our room was very clean, the staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel is located near the T Station. Walking home from the T after dark did make me a little uncomfortable but I felt quite secure once in the hotel. Gorgeous views!

Certainly not the easiest place to find. Was just getting a post travel nap when the fire alarm went off. It turned out that a irresponsible parent had allowed their child to play with the fire alarm point. Bar was expensive for bottled beer. Could really do with a decent draught beer or two. Room was comfortable. Overpriced for what it is.

Being just south of central Boston, this hotel was a great location. The difference in price made it worth it to stay outside of walking distance from downtown Boston. For approximately $10 one way, my boyfriend and I took ubers to downtown, saving us the stress of driving, parking and fees. The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Only negative was loud air conditioning unit. Would definitely stay here again.

Very good hotel and close to the T (within walking distance).I was did speak to someone at the hotel who advised me that there was a shuttle service unfortunately they did not tell me that is was only on the weekend. Otherwise this hotel was clean and nice. You have to pay for parking, we had it included with the rate. No brochures regarding sites to see downtown or regarding the subway system (the T).

We stayed for 2 nights last weekend, we got there around 10am, when check in is 3pm. We were going to have them gold our bags, but they had a room available and were able to get us in right away. Stayed overnight at the beginning and end of a trip to New England. Check in and check out was very smooth. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. I travel for business a lot and stay exclusively in Hilton's, this is without a doubt the worse Hilton property I have ever stayed at. I have stayed in this Hilton now for 3 week, in 3 separate rooms. I purposely chose this location in Boston because I knew we were going to have a car and I didn't want to pay the exorbitant downtown parking rates. The hotel is a less than 5 minute walk to the T. There really aren't any restaurants within walking distance of the hotel (most are about 1.5 miles away). The hotel was clean and quiet; the kids were bummed that there wasn't a pool.

Staff is lovely, room is standard, however, wifi is not "free" as you have to join the Hilton network, which I have, but cannot get on. Have an afternoon presentation which means I will have to find a Starbucks or the like to get my work done. Also, no glasses present in the room as they're looking to upsell a bottle of water. Please do if you drive to Boston where street parking is impossible and parking fee is expensive. My husband and I wanted to give a big shout out to all of the staff at DoubleTree Boston Bayside. They definitely went over and above to make sure we had a beautiful anniversary trip. They were able to get us into our room early(after flying all night on a red eye from California it was much needed) AND they surprised us with a suite!!! Room and location was ok. We would rate the service as poor. We tried on two unsuccessful attempts to call in to the hotel but were put on hold on both occasions for 20 minutes each. the purpose of the call was to arrange for shuttle pick up at the downtown drop off location for a return ride back to the hotel. In frustration we called and paid for Uber driver for the return trip. Also breakfast was way over priced for what you got.

For the most part our 4 day visit was most comfortable. We had some special requests and they were met promptly. The little café in the hotel was fine but a little pricey for the limited things they served. However, avoid at all costs the 15.95 breakfast they offer. Not only is it not good, it wasn't hot. It was poorly prepared the employees were replenishing the breakfast potatoes from a cardboard muffin box. That tells me.....microwaved.

The rooms at this hotel were comfortable. The location for JKF Library and UMASS Boston is perfect. Close to the train to go downtown Boston. There is a free shuttle to and from airport and downtown. We visited here on our trip around America and enjoyed the hotel. The location initially made us a little apprehensive, however the shuttle bus that took us in to Boston was great, it went to a good central location and the pick up worked well. We also went for a trip to the JFK Library which was just a stroll down the shore away (would recommend visiting). The staff were always nice and helpful and the Bar and Coffee shop were very helpful. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable.

Have stayed at Doubletree Boston Bayside several times on holiday occasions since 2007. This time found it a little disappointing. Check in and out courteous and efficient; changes to shuttle service not for the better nor the addition of a lounge breakfast has not improved what was always a weak point in their offering: lack of options and minimal seating. Don't think it offers the Golf Channel also. Quality of room reasonably good and quiet. Now a little on the expensive side for the offering.

Also, I was charged parking fee to park right behind the hotel where the electronic arm for cars to get in/out was completely broken and open to anyone. This hotel is very clean and comfortable. We were greeted with a smile when we checked in and we were given warm chocolate chip cookies as a welcome to the hotel. They offer a free shuttle to downtown Boston on Fri, Sat & Sunday which is great for travellers unfamiliar with the Boston area as well as free shuttle to the airport. Stayed from Midnight to 6am, so it was a short stay. I arrived and the Front Desk staff couldn't have been nicer and more patient with me. The room was very nice and comfortable clean and updated. This is not a great location if you are looking to be in Boston, but for business travel if you have a car or can expense taxi/ubers it is ideal in terms of value - especially when booking last minute.

When checked in they sent us to a dirty good when we had only minutes to change to get to a wedding and I thought the room was just average......nothing great for the amount paid. And on top of that had to pay for parking in an unsecured lot?...... No fridge.......a standard in today's world. And no extra blankets.....pillows or towels.....The bar is tiny, tiny, tiny and expensive.........the location is the best thing about this place.

Shuttle from Logan Airport was great quick pickup, They also offer shuttle around to select restaurants ( only 6 none Seafood) and a couple of other stops like the aquarium. We chose this hotel as we thought they were set up for airport shuttle. We dropped our car off and called hotel for pickup. Big mistake they have 2 busses and these are also used for drop offs downtown. Wait time was going to be an hour plus. Get the metro and walk the 10 mins to hotel. Fantastic location - so close to trains that get you anywhere you want to go in Boston. Also visited the Kennedy Library which was a 5 minute drive. There were not a lot of restaurants in the immediate area, but we had meals in Boston and grabbed a quick breakfast from the Marketplace on the way out the door. Would stay here again for sure.

This is a typical DoubleTree (in a good way) This place is modern and clean and the staff are as always very friendly and helpful. Boston traffic is bad but this hotel will straight up lie to you. Just take a cab and plan accordingly. Great location. T stAtion less than half a mile. Staff were friendly and helpful. Beds were average. Rooms were average. Rates are reasonable. We had an issue with the tub not draining. If that had not been an issue I may have rated it higher.

I really have nothing to's a nice place...relatively inexpensive, clean, convenient to town and highway. Did not eat there, so no comment on the restaurant. I would recommend this place for those who want to stay outside the city.

From the moment we arrive till the moment we left everyone was very helpful very efficient and very accommodating. We truly enjoyed our stay the location was wonderful close to the train station easy access to everything they provided shuttle to take us to and from dinner to and from the airport complement Terry it was just a wonderful stay

We were on a trip to Cape Cod and spent our second night in this hotel. We selected this hotel because of the location, as its outside the city area, so no chance of getting stuck in the city traffic. As we were going to travel to Cape Cod next day, this was the best option as it connects to I-93. And its connected to Boston by U-Mass, and the station is within walking distance.
