The Double Tree Bayside has everything I want in a hotel, as mentioned in the title. The location, near a subway station, was perfect for us to get around. We were planning on visiting the JFK Library, so it worked out well. You'll have to walk a bit if you want to visit a restaurant nearby though. We found a nice Dominican place that took about 15 minutes to walk to. The hotel staff is very efficient and friendly and there is an airport shuttle, which runs frequently. A number of colleagues and I stayed at this hotel for the sake of convenience as it was located near our conference site. Despite being a Hilton property, it was utterly ordinary--"correct," but lacking in any charm whatsoever. The reception desk is small, resulting in a fair amount of waiting for guests. Once I was processed, access to my room was quick and easy. But then it turned out that the belongings of a guest who had arrived before me had been left in my room but were not those of the pe... Hotel staff was exceptional, everyone said Hello including the maintenance workers and housekeeping when passing them in the halls. The staff at the desk were very helpful and friendly!! The shuttle was an added benefit, and the T station for the red line was a very short walk. There is a nice beach a short walk away also. This was an excellent hotel!!

The room is nice and clean. Comfortable and spacious. Also, it's a walking distance to mass transit, very convenient. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Love the free cookies at check-in. The only problem is no pets allowed. Had to leave my husband with the dog while attending a relative's college Graduation.

the hotel is noisy when people closing their room doors, it comes with a loud bang and the whole floor vibrates. The air conditioning is terrible to control. The toilet does not flush well. The housekeeping service is poor. Worst of all is the oriental bartender, he was late opening the bar and he did not even bother to acknowledge us when we were sitting on the couch directly across from him.

I am an employee of Hilton, specifically a Doubletree. And I love when I have awesome stays because I love to write great reviews. When I first arrived there was only one room available out of my two. Agent said there was nothing she can do, so I gave that room to my elderly in laws. Another agent came up and went out of her way to get the second room ready. That agent also gave me a great map, a wheelchair for my mother in law and many questions that I had. When I got to the room I noticed it... Read more

The hotel is older and not what I expected given the amount of money we paid. Features and amenities are outdated. I wouldn't stay again unless I received a really good rate. I stay at Hilton properies almost weekly and this was the worse value I have experienced in awhile.

Stayed at the property to attend a friend's wedding. The concierge was very helpful giving directions to the reception and local running areas. The on site restaurant had a nice selection of pastries, fruit and cereals for the breakfast buffet. They also had an omelet station. very nice. The rooms were comfortable, but showed some wear on the sofa cushions and trim paint. The location is very convenient to Harvard and some of the other universities in the area.

I almost feel guilty for slagging this hotel off because the reception staff were brilliant, very helpful and friendly, but bluntly this is not a Hilton-standard hotel even though it charged Hilton room rates. Got off to a bad start because the shuttle pick up never arrived at Boston-Logan. My family and I were welcomed from the great staff at the hotel, they made our stay excellent. Very comfortable and clean hotel with very nice rooms and good beds. The only down side was on the day of departure we asked to extend our checkout time because of a late flight and was advised it was $40 per hour, this seemed very costly.other than late a great stay

Stayed overnight at the beginning and end of a trip to New England. Check in and check out was very smooth. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Everyone there was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They provide free shuttle service to airport and cruise terminal as well as to Quincy Market. It is located a couple hundred yards from the bay which provides easy access to the pathway that runs along side the bay. Only a one mile walk along that path to the JFK Presidential Library. I travel for business a lot and stay exclusively in Hilton's, this is without a doubt the worse Hilton property I have ever stayed at. I have stayed in this Hilton now for 3 week, in 3 separate rooms. All 3 rooms are out dated, the Internet does not work in any of them, and in at least 2 of them even the TV cut in and out and was unwatchable. This hotel is located near the university of Mass. Boston so you would think there would be restaurants nearby but this is not the case. There is nothing... Read more

I paid $150 a night, but that was too much for nothing to be provided. The shuttle service is great and it is close to the subway system. Staff was accommodating, but failed to tell me the perks of being a HHoners member.

I purposely chose this location in Boston because I knew we were going to have a car and I didn't want to pay the exorbitant downtown parking rates. The hotel is a less than 5 minute walk to the T. There really aren't any restaurants within walking distance of the hotel (most are about 1.5 miles away). The hotel was clean and quiet; the kids were bummed that there wasn't a pool.

Staff is lovely, room is standard, however, wifi is not "free" as you have to join the Hilton network, which I have, but cannot get on. Have an afternoon presentation which means I will have to find a Starbucks or the like to get my work done. Also, no glasses present in the room as they're looking to upsell a bottle of water. Shuttle service & driver was a delight.

All front desk agents were very helpful from check-in to answering questions through our stay. I think the manager is Amelia. Good job! Keyra especially is wonderful. Rooms were kept very clean and beds were a dream as far as comfort. The rest of the offerings in the hotel and the staff attached to them were a mixed bag. From attentive and wonderfully friendly one night to dreadful and flat out unfriendly sour pusses the next night. As for the breakfast, the glass and handles on the warmers were... Read more

Stayed here for two nights, really comfy hotel and staff very friendly and helpful. I have to give a very special mention to the shuttle bus driver Miguel. He went above and beyond to ensure we could find and see everything that we wanted to in Boston he is a real credit to the hotel. Room was comfy and very clean, beds were lovely. The hotel is a way out from the town but the shuttle bus is very handy

When checked in, welcomed us with their in-house made cookie, kind of a surprise to us. The cookie tasted good. Very nice gesture. We like it. The car parking package is a good deal. Please do if you drive to Boston where street parking is impossible and parking fee is expensive. Although the location is not in downtown, the T train (subway) station is just a walking distance and easy to get to everywhere.

My husband and I wanted to give a big shout out to all of the staff at DoubleTree Boston Bayside. They definitely went over and above to make sure we had a beautiful anniversary trip. They were able to get us into our room early(after flying all night on a red eye from California it was much needed) AND they surprised us with a suite!!! Also on our anniversary they had champagne and sweets waiting in the room for us when we returned from our sight seeing. I would definitely recommend this place ... Read more

Room and location was ok. We would rate the service as poor. We tried on two unsuccessful attempts to call in to the hotel but were put on hold on both occasions for 20 minutes each. the purpose of the call was to arrange for shuttle pick up at the downtown drop off location for a return ride back to the hotel. In frustration we called and paid for Uber driver for the return trip. Also breakfast was way over priced for what you got.

As with all DoubleTree hotels you except something a bit more than the standard Hilton product. Hotel is located south of the city but only 15 mins in a cab from the airport. There is also a local metro stop which has very quick access to all areas of the city. Greeted at check in my a very friendly team who couldn't have been more help. Best bit is definitely the DoubleTree cookie! Rooms were spacious and modern with all the amenities you would expect from an international chain. A more th... Read more

This hotel was clean, comfortable and has a very accommodating staff. Great chocolate chip cookies too. We visited the bar in the evening and our bartender David was the best. Great drinks and good company. The hotel also had a computer room so I could check in for my flight and print my boarding pass.

Stayed one night and as a diamond HHs we were upgraded to a very nice corner room which comprised of a seating area, dining area and separate bedroom. We had used points for the stay as it was 300 dollars normal rate. The problem was the breakfast and this was definitely a very low standard something never really experienced at a Doubletree before. This has been mentioned in other reviews. We did mention this on checking out and it was dealt with swiftly and efficiently. Because of the breakf... Read more

For the most part our 4 day visit was most comfortable. We had some special requests and they were met promptly. The little café in the hotel was fine but a little pricey for the limited things they served. However, avoid at all costs the 15.95 breakfast they offer. Not only is it not good, it wasn't hot. It was poorly prepared the employees were replenishing the breakfast potatoes from a cardboard muffin box. That tells me.....microwaved.

We had a great time. We chose this hotel because it had an airport shuttle and our flight was at 7AM. Lovely hotel, friendly staff, great cookies, comfy bed. The AC worked great which was a plus. We had a great nights sleep and took the shuttle (which was prompt and efficient) to our airline.

If you are going to get a hotel room pay the little extra money to stay in a more convient and safer area! Found out after we got there that we were not in a good part of town and we actually told to not walk outside the hotel after dark! :/ If you do not get the breakfast included into your room rate for cheap do not waste your time or money on it, they only had a few items and what they did have was poor in quality. We visited here on our trip around America and enjoyed the hotel. The location initially made us a little apprehensive, however the shuttle bus that took us in to Boston was great, it went to a good central location and the pick up worked well. We also went for a trip to the JFK Library which was just a stroll down the shore away (would recommend visiting). The staff were always nice and helpful and the Bar and Coffee shop were very helpful. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable.

Have stayed at Doubletree Boston Bayside several times on holiday occasions since 2007. This time found it a little disappointing. Check in and out courteous and efficient; changes to shuttle service not for the better nor the addition of a lounge breakfast has not improved what was always a weak point in their offering: lack of options and minimal seating. Don't think it offers the Golf Channel also. Quality of room reasonably good and quiet. Now a little on the expensive side for the offering.

Very clean! I have stayed in Doubletree's worldwide and this particular one was disappointing only in the fact that there were several issues with things not working. Lamps, Tv remote. Also, I was charged parking fee to park right behind the hotel where the electronic arm for cars to get in/out was completely broken and open to anyone. I could've just driven in the back and parked and no one would've known I had not paid for parking. If it was broken, I should have not been charged for parking. ... Read more

Also, the daily cleaning services were highly unsatisfactory. There was no professional attitude. Room cleanliness has gone down significantly. Breakfast quality sucks. Long wait time for checking in (the manager gave me a coupon for a free drink at the bar because of that) 2. This hotel is very clean and comfortable. We were greeted with a smile when we checked in and we were given warm chocolate chip cookies as a welcome to the hotel. Stayed from Midnight to 6am, so it was a short stay. I arrived and the Front Desk staff couldn't have been nicer and more patient with me. The room was very nice and comfortable clean and updated. This is not a great location if you are looking to be in Boston, but for business travel if you have a car or can expense taxi/ubers it is ideal in terms of value - especially when booking last minute.

We stayed here recently. When checked in they sent us to a dirty good when we had only minutes to change to get to a wedding and I thought the room was just average......nothing great for the amount paid. And on top of that had to pay for parking in an unsecured lot?...... No fridge.......a standard in today's world. And no extra blankets.....pillows or towels.....The bar is tiny, tiny, tiny and expensive.........the location is the best thing about this place.

I booked 2 rooms here ?? one for my husband and one for my son, his wife and their 2 year-old. The rooms themselves are what you would expect for a Doubletree. They are average size, in good condition. Of the two dining options, the small deli type place offers better quality food made to order.
