We needed to be in a small town 20 miles away and Danvers was the closest to us. A few points on this property: 1. It is in a corporate park where you cannot walk to anything, so be prepared to buy meals/drinks there or go without. 2. It is a bit tricky to get into and off the main highway, so very aware of the signage and exits. (yes, even with GPS) 3. Our stay was part of a private school introduction and sight seeing tour of Boston, Salem, and Plymouth. We found the location offered easy accessibility. We enjoyed our stay as well as the Starbucks and Tradewinds restaurant on site. Our only dislikes were the daily confusion of the staff about breakfast either being free, needing a coupon or expensive plus the pool was being worked on and our group had limited use as well as the arcade being closed during our stay.

Second time I have stayed here and it was excellent. Would highly recommend to any business traveler. Excellent rates, clean and well appointed rooms that are comfortable and roomy. Also great caring staff, very helpful and always friendly and professional.

Hotel Was beautiful and the staff was overly kind and helpful!! Will without a doubt be back! The pool was beautiful and the breakfast was the best that we have ever seen offered and we travel a lot! Our kids loved it all also!

The Doubletree is an excellent place to stay for leisure or business. In fact, it is more comfortable than my house! The people are always friendly and efficient. It is extremely clean and comfortable. If I could fit the duvet in my suitcase, I would take it home with me!

Stayed mainly for the shuttle service to a family wedding at a nearby venue. Was turned away despite having already checked in via Internet due to the horel's sutem failure since 6 AM. Was told we'd have a room by four; wen we noted we had a wedding we were told there was nothing they can do--that was the first 1.2 hour of stress! The place has a massive footprint, and is very expansive. The bathrooms and showers received a nice renovation, but I am not sure how/why any hotel would not include a mini-fridge at the minimum. I would stay again for sure as it is most convenient when I visit the area.

Ended up staying in this quaint town of Danvers, MA. Hotel rooms was very nice, clean, quiet & the beds were very comfortable! Would recommend! Kind of sitting on a hillside! This hotel is next to I-95 North! Concierge was very kind & very knowledgeable about the restaurants in the little town.

Close to highway, yet a tucked away location, close proximity to many locations & area attractions. Less than a 1/2 an hour to Newbury Port and what a great find this town was, for shopping & sightseeing! A Great Double Tree, from the staff, service, and food. The breakfast buffet was badly understaffed and disorganized (and $20 per person!), and we could not get an answer at the front desk when we called them -- a loud fight occurred in the hall outside our room (with screaming profinities). Did not feel safe staying here!

In a nutshell, called this hotel to make a reservation for my son/fiancee so they could stay over after a wedding. Made it very clear I would not be there and wanted to pay for the room up front so they could just check in. Asked the woman for the confirmation for payment. I got one. Then I asked her to change the name on the room to my son, again as I would not be there. Stayed here because we were attending a National dance competition. Very nice hotel with all amenities. Clean and spacious rooms. Very efficient check in and check out. The rooms were definitely on the pricey side though considering you are staying in Danvers.

Hotel needs upgrading. Rooms look tired and old. Beds are nice. Room service food quality just ok. Nice pool. Front desk staff was very responsive. Hotel is in a good location from the highway but there is not alot of food options outside of the hotel. You are pretty much a captive of the hotel food which is pricey and average in quality

My husband and I chose this location because of the Coco key water resort. Rooms and not well maintained and have a awful smell. We picked the best from the 3 we were shown ! This location has a pool but attached to a public physio/gym and children and not welcomed very well :( Coco key water was wonderful hotel not so much

We got a package deal online with the water park that the hotel itself was not familiar in dealing with. This lead to multiple trips to the front desk to make sure we got our package deal and were not overcharged for the prepaid package. The hotel manager fixed everything and our stay went well after.

Very clean, professional, no problems. Staff was very helpful. Easy to check in / out. Open area and a comfortable feel. Nice stay and would use again as first pick in this area. Our girls said the Starbucks could use more of a selection. That is as negative as I can get. My coffee was fine.

Very nice hotel, adjacent water park makes it good for kids, but isolated (no services within walking distance and nothing close by car), and the entrance (in the middle of one of those weird Boston cloverleafs) is tricky to find. Excellent service from a cheerful and energetic staff.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hilton in Danvers Mass. The hotel staff were always pleasant and very helpful. The location of the hotel was in a quiet, non-congested part of the city, but it was an easy drive to many wonderful sightseeing locations. This was our second year attending a conference in July.The weather was beautiful and the ocean water was clean and very refreshing!! We'll make sure we come again.

Stayed here for two nights. Got the water park package. Was only $167 a night. When we arrived we got warm cookies! The room was the king suite and has two children's bed with their own tv. It was a nice place that I highly recommend.

Stayed here with family with small kids, we chose this place due to the family rooms with toddler beds. So we were greeted to at 4pm the room still wasn't ready as we were promised it would be. The front desk agents were not friendly very abrupt (except for the front desk supervisor he was nice and helpful) we asked for the room to be cleaned and the housekeeping only cleaned up the kids area and that's it. Rooms overbooked and not cleaned in time for check in. Front end was on the phone for 20 mins trying to find a room for me that had been cleaned so I could check in. We were staying after a wedding and the bride's brother was sent home in a free cab ride due to his room being given away after they were told his room would be ready after the wedding. We were returning for our second stay within the year. We have family in Danvers so this was the perfect distance to travel into Boston and also to attend family functions local. We loved the Starbucks on sight, water park, indoor pool, and the family room with twin beds. Can't wait to come back!

Everything was wonderful and luxurious. My only suggestion for improvement is sliding door access from both the right and left sides of the shower (instead of the far side only) and more water pressure. We stayed in an executive king suite on the eigth floor which was very spacious, clean, attractive, and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent and of course the welcome cookies!

We stayed here in May 2016 for a wedding. Our room was on the bottom floor, right next to a walking path. It felt kind of creepy, so we had to keep the blinds shut. When we went to shut the blinds, we found TONS of mosquitos had gotten in and were living between the blinds and the actual window. The window itself was wide open - no screen. So gross. Location was terrible and far from attractions. Water park focused on children only and should be advertised as such. Room was dusty and carpets had multiple stains. My bathroom required maintenance because it never stopped flushing. Staff not very pleasant.

Great staff, reasonable rate and close to Boston. Room was very dated and screamed for renovation. Beds were clean and comfy. Within 10 min of many restaurants and shopping centers. Good value for the money, but room showed lots of wear.

We had weeding here and we had all types of issues at this hotel. I would recommend not to use this hotel for any functions at all. Issues with rooms, food, table arrangement for reception, cost of the room, group reservations, billing, cost per person. I was charged for booze for kids.

Doubletree is in a very convenient location to all Boston has to offer along wit the Plum Island area. Friendly staff and a great breakfast. The pool indoors has an outdoor s seating area to enjoy. Rooms are basic but were clean we did have to wait while for it to be ready.

We came to check in and there was a long line, they had 3 weddings, were sold out and only 2 clerks. The clerks had the duel role of unlocking doors for wedding guests and answering phones which made the line longer. The rooms were as expected decent size, clean the curtains actually closed and blocked the sun.

They were way overbooked with three weddings. Lines to check in with super long. Gave everyone in our party a hard time checking in because we didn't have the credit cards we booked with even though we all had confirmation numbers and emails (we were all dates of the wedding party and the wedding party booked the room. I left a note for the housekeepers asking for a fridge for medical purposes, but never got one; the ice bucket insert wasn't replaced daily, neither were glasses changed daily. However, I was traveling with a group and we were provided a conference room for our breakfasts. Alex was THE BEST!! Such a pleasant guy, very willing to accommodate us - I appreciated his smile and banter each morning.

My 7 and 2 year old loved our 3 day stay at the hotel. We went to the waterpark everyday, and always had trouble getting them to leave. The room was very nice and spacious. The check-in was simple and the staff gladly accommodated a late change to our reservation.

We visited the area for a wedding and needed to bring our dog with us- very pet friendly property. We stayed on the first floor in a family room with our dog and 3 kids and it was very quiet. Easy access to outside for the dog. I also enjoyed the fitness room and the kids enjoyed the pool. No time for water park during this stay...maybe next time! Very close to points of interest- took 15-20 minutes to get to Salem where we enjoyed a great family day.

The hotel was outstanding. The family suite worked perfect for my 11 and 16 yr old children. Stayed there for a few days in Boston. About 30 min from downtown. More depending on time of day. If you are going to Boston not the easiest location to stay but the hotel is outstanding.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the start of our trip. The hotel was nice and clean with good sized rooms, we had one with 2 queen beds. We had a good nights sleep, the bed was comfy and the hotel was nice and quiet. It has good facilities, a gym and spa and the water park, which is accessible from the hotel. The staff bungled what should have been a simple reservation process... I arrived for a wedding, staying the night of the event plus one additional night. Two nights, two different rates, but only one reservation. They locked me out of the room after I had gone shopping for the day and came back to find out they had to have me check out then check in.

We stayed a Friday and Saturday night. I read the reviews about all the wedding traffic, which was incredibly true, six weddings. But the service at this Doubletree was beyond horrid. Our room was not made up the whole stay. Even after I made two requests to do so. I finally just went to the front desk and requested clean towels and wash clothes. NBC was not available at this hotel. Missed out on one of the most exciting nights of Olympic coverage. The other channels available were extremely blurry. I called the front desk and it took and hour and half for someone to come to my room and resolve. By then it was 10:30pm and the night was over. Me, my husband and kids stayed here for a 2 night getaway. For just under $400 we had hotel for 2 nightseconds and 3 days of Waterpark use. Water park is good for kids 10 and under. Food is overpriced (which is to be expected). Family rooms are great. Fridge, microwave and porch! Kids beds are toddler sized but fine for a short trip. Beds were super comfy and the complimentary coffee was pretty good. Only suggestion would be to drive into town for local restaurants and grocery stores.

Outstanding service from the staff with only a few hiccups in the process. Spot on recommendations from staff for local dining. Cleanliness up to exacting standards; a little noise leak from hallway passer-bys but otherwise quiet and relaxing, and plenty for the kids to occupy themselves with between the arcade and water park on-premises.

The room was great for a family of four. The kids enjoying having their own space and beds. The location is good for those traveling to Boston but want to stay out of the city. The kids enjoyed the water park next door. Only issue is the lack of kid friendly gluten free foods at the restaurant.

Had a great experience with this DoubleTree. It was close enough to Boston I could easily drive into the city with little traffic. The staff was beyond friendly and super good to work with. The room was very spacious and clean. I was not able to use the connect indoor pool resort but it looked very cool and you didn't hear much noise around the resort through the hotel which was nice. Will be staying here again when in the city.

Exceptional hotel! All of the best aspects of a Hilton DoubleTree hotel (including the cookie!) with a high end hotel experience. Everything about this hotel (décor, staff, amenities) is what you expect for a hotel at twice the price! If you can get a package for the executive level, it is well worth the added cost--they offer a very nice cocktail service and full breakfast in the morning. Staff is very attentive and responsive.

My wife and I picked this hotel as the recommended place for my extended family to stay for my daughter's off-premises wedding in Beverly, MA. Check-in staff adequate. We were offered a nice warm delicous walnut/chocolate chip cookie. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. Restaurant was nice with TVs to watch Football and Baseball. Food was extremely good as was the coffee. Parking is free with plentiful amount of spaces. I would definitely stay there again.

I always enjoy staying at these hotels. The service is welcoming and the rooms are always spacious and clean. We only stayed in this hotel for one day, but our stay was nice. The executive lounge had a nice breakfast spread, my husband had their eggs, toast, and potatoes.The fruit was fresh and the area was clean. I do wish they had gluten free cookies and cereal to provide for celiac/gluten sensitive clients. You're still one of my favorite hotels, Double Tree!

This hotel is a joke. It is "falsely" renovated to make an old hotel appear new and hip.... All Of which it is not. There was an old dirty musky smell to the rooms. We were in town for a wedding and this hotel was the one they offered for a block. We were disappointed that the rate was so high because the room quality wasn't up to par. There were a number of what looked like burn stains on the carpet and the A/C unit wasn't working very well. Also, the front cover on the A/C unit kept falling down and it made the place dusty.

Rooms are dated and some are below ground level. My was, and the AC unit soaked the floor each night and made the room smell musky. This is probably a great hotel for families looking to enjoy the water park, but for business, I will book elsewhere next time.

My overall rating of this property is a 10. Customer service was world class. Great atmosphere and friendly staff that was willing to go the extra mile. The only opportunity was my dinner which was the chicken parm. For the amount of money and to get one small piece of chicken on a bed of pasta was disappointing. Other than that it was a great stay.

This review is only for the TradeWinds restaurant within the hotel. We travel in a motorhome and were "staying" free at the Walmart supercenter in Danvers. We were there to visit my wife's sister who lives in Brookline. The best rv park is Normandy Farms just south of Foxborough...too far for us on this trip. Staff was most unfriendly, down-right RUDE. They totally messed up reservations. A long way out of Boston but a pretty area nevertheless. Room service ends at 11pm and there is nothing available ( no water, coffee etc, snacks so be aware). Reservations were smooth, we received the group rate promised,, even for an extra day. The hotel seemed to be short staffed; room made up quite late in the day, items forgotten when rooms were made up (bottled water, hand towels or washcloths, clean glasses) on more than one day. There was no microwave or refrigerator in the room. There is a hotel Pantry where guests can purchase one serve noodle, mac/cheese type items, juice, soda, ice cream. Bring a $10 bill with you, everything costs about $5. Breakfast with a tip is $20. There is a Starbucks in the lobby that opens at 7AM. We spent two nights here visiting Salem. The hotel is well maintained But there were things lacking. Our room overlooked the air conditioner units on the roof and the noise was substantial. The housekeeping was lacking. Between the first and second nights they made the beds but that was about it. They left dirty towels and didn't clean the sink or tub. We are Hilton diamond members and the Lounge was closed. The pool had a big crack in the bottom and was losing water. We were disappointed.

We stayed at this place because of how close it was for the Topsfield fair. We felt lucky (at the time) that a room opened up 2 days before arriving. In hindsight, I wish we would have kept our original reservation at the Hampton Inn. At $199 a night, there are certain things that one would expect from a hotel. My wife and I just got back from a 4 day, 3 night stay at the Doubletree in Danvers. I thought, based on the relative cheap price for our stay, that it would be no frills; I was wrong. They tried to charge us for a 3rd night when we only requested a 2 night stay. They also gave us a hard time about redeeming a 2nd night free voucher. Hotel room was noisy seeing that they placed us across the way from a halloween party. Food wasn't good. Not a good experience overall.

The entire hallway smelled of pot the entire trip. We had 3 kids under 11 with us and they were complaining about it. When we spoke to the front desk, their response was "What do you want us to do about it?" Didn't offer to change rooms or find out where the odor was coming from. The hotel is located in a business park and is very near to an indoor water park (not a part of the hotel itself - no discounts to hotel guests is offered). The hotel is quiet and away from traffic. I have a severe nut allergy and felt an allergic response every time I passed through the front entry area. I thought at first it was the coffee shop but then realized it was strongest in front of the desk. This hotel is superior in its service, cleanliness, and facilities.For Boston area hotels I would say it is also a value from the standpoint of price. Wherever we ran into staff, they were all friendly and helpful. (The General Manager even helped my wife with our dog while I registered.) The rooms are generously sized and well kept. Being a huge fan of Hilton Brand hotels, we gave this location another try with our family vacation this year. Nothing has changed since our last visit, except now we are given fewer towels (two towels for a family of four) and slow service with attitude from staff when we asked for more towels. Dean was great at the front desk:) one girl helped me when my son broke out in a rash and brought me to the first aid kit to get what I needed I appreciate that a lot :) I wish I remember her name.....
