We needed to be in a small town 20 miles away and Danvers was the closest to us. A few points on this property: 1. It is in a corporate park where you cannot walk to anything, so be prepared to buy meals/drinks there or go without. 2. It is a bit tricky to get into and off the main highway, so very aware of the signage and exits. (yes, even with GPS) 3. It's a bit unusual to find a corporate hotel with a large waterpark attached to it - but this one has it. A lot of families come in for we... Read more

Our stay was part of a private school introduction and sight seeing tour of Boston, Salem, and Plymouth. We found the location offered easy accessibility. We enjoyed our stay as well as the Starbucks and Tradewinds restaurant on site. Our only dislikes were the daily confusion of the staff about breakfast either being free, needing a coupon or expensive plus the pool was being worked on and our group had limited use as well as the arcade being closed during our stay.

Stayed mainly for the shuttle service to a family wedding at a nearby venue. Was turned away despite having already checked in via Internet due to the horel's sutem failure since 6 AM. Was told we'd have a room by four; wen we noted we had a wedding we were told there was nothing they can do--that was the first 1.2 hour of stress! The place has a massive footprint, and is very expansive. The bathrooms and showers received a nice renovation, but I am not sure how/why any hotel would not include a mini-fridge at the minimum. I would stay again for sure as it is most convenient when I visit the area.

Close to highway, yet a tucked away location, close proximity to many locations & area attractions. Less than a 1/2 an hour to Newbury Port and what a great find this town was, for shopping & sightseeing! A Great Double Tree, from the staff, service, and food. It also included a clean & fresh smell throughout the hotel, nice stay!

In a nutshell, called this hotel to make a reservation for my son/fiancee so they could stay over after a wedding. Made it very clear I would not be there and wanted to pay for the room up front so they could just check in. Asked the woman for the confirmation for payment. I got one. Then I asked her to change the name on the room to my son, again as I would not be there. Everything was wonderful and luxurious. My only suggestion for improvement is sliding door access from both the right and left sides of the shower (instead of the far side only) and more water pressure. They don't care if you booked months in advance as a block of rooms, they will put you any place they want. I would tell you not to book here, try and find another place in the area.

Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Boston North Shore ‚?? Danvers, MA ‚?? 9/27/2016 I love this hotel. Front front desk staff is awesome. Particularly Gisela, Rachel & Pero. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I wanted some popcorn before watching the debates and they actually sent Pero to the store to pick some up for me and brought it to me while having dinner. Who does that? That's total customer service! I was not able to partake of the gym but it looked more than adequate compared ... Read more

Staff was most unfriendly, down-right RUDE. They totally messed up reservations. Actually allowed someone to request access to my room and staff escorted them upstairs with NO identification or confirmation that person was allowed access to my room when absent - STAFF PROVIDED FULL ACCESS TO MY ROOM TO SOMEONE WHO WAS NOT STAYING IN THE ROOM, WAS NOT ASKED TO PROVIDE ANY IDENTIFICATION AND NAME DOES NOT MATCH NAME ASSOCIATED WITH ROOM.

A long way out of Boston but a pretty area nevertheless. Room service ends at 11pm and there is nothing available ( no water, coffee etc, snacks so be aware). Breakfast was good, with good choice and service Rooms were clean, comfortable and OK. Next time I may well decide to pay more and stay closer to the city.

Reservations were smooth, we received the group rate promised,, even for an extra day. The hotel seemed to be short staffed; room made up quite late in the day, items forgotten when rooms were made up (bottled water, hand towels or washcloths, clean glasses) on more than one day. The coffee in the room was borderline okay, the coffee kiosk near the lobby wasn't open after mid-afternoon, and was a bit expensive, although they did have good sandwiches, but also on the high side, price-wise. The b... Read more

I have stayed at this hotel 3 years in a row during the month of September. I found the hotel staff very cheerfully and accommodating. I will attend next year Service Dog annual event and stay at the Double Tree. I love that the hotel is dog friendly.

There was no microwave or refrigerator in the room. There is a hotel Pantry where guests can purchase one serve noodle, mac/cheese type items, juice, soda, ice cream. Bring a $10 bill with you, everything costs about $5. Breakfast with a tip is $20. There is a Starbucks in the lobby that opens at 7AM. Hotel lobby is spacious, comfortable, with TV, computers, plenty of chairs to relax and visit. Hotel is tricky to get to, it's on a road, off of a service road next to the hwy. No restaurants you ... We spent two nights here visiting Salem. The hotel is well maintained But there were things lacking. Our room overlooked the air conditioner units on the roof and the noise was substantial. The housekeeping was lacking. Between the first and second nights they made the beds but that was about it. They left dirty towels and didn't clean the sink or tub. We are Hilton diamond members and the Lounge was closed. The pool had a big crack in the bottom and was losing water. We were disappointed.

Met by rude waitress who did offer a menu even though we asked for one. Guided us to a very expensive buffet that was not a good one. Powdered eggs etc We sit down and the girl next to us gets an omelette delivered! We had already eaten. $16 buffet! Asked the clerk at desk and she told me that they try to direct everyone to buffet even though you can order from a menu! I said we weren't given that option and will write a review! She said 'that's fine!' We are Hilton silver honors members and wil... Read more

We stayed at this place because of how close it was for the Topsfield fair. We felt lucky (at the time) that a room opened up 2 days before arriving. In hindsight, I wish we would have kept our original reservation at the Hampton Inn. At $199 a night, there are certain things that one would expect from a hotel. If the only issue had been that they only had double beds and no queens, I don't think I would have cared that much to write a review, but you would think that if you stayed at a Hilton... Read more

What a hidden gem! Don't write this off when looking for a quality place to stay when visiting Boston. More than well worth the 30 minutes drive from the hustle and bustle of the city. Can say enough about the accommodating staff. Your wish is their command.

Great location; wished we had brought our bathing suits for the water park. Hotel is clean and everyone is friendly. Would highly recommend this hotel as well as the hotel chain. Only wish they would have given us cookies upon arrival - but they were great for the road trip home.

My wife and I just got back from a 4 day, 3 night stay at the Doubletree in Danvers. I thought, based on the relative cheap price for our stay, that it would be no frills; I was wrong. The property is quite large and surrounded by beautiful country. It features a beautiful lounge called Tradewinds and also serves breakfast and dinner. We had dinner in the hotel the first night, not expecting much. The food was quite tasty, surprising to us both! We enjoyed some after dinner drinks each night ... Read more

They tried to charge us for a 3rd night when we only requested a 2 night stay. They also gave us a hard time about redeeming a 2nd night free voucher. Hotel room was noisy seeing that they placed us across the way from a halloween party. Food wasn't good. Not a good experience overall.

The entire hallway smelled of pot the entire trip. We had 3 kids under 11 with us and they were complaining about it. When we spoke to the front desk, their response was "What do you want us to do about it?" Didn't offer to change rooms or find out where the odor was coming from. Definitely will not be returning there.

The hotel is located in a business park and is very near to an indoor water park (not a part of the hotel itself - no discounts to hotel guests is offered). The hotel is quiet and away from traffic. A major highway is visible from the hotel but does not present a noise issue. The rooms are nice. We stayed in a room for setup for the hearing impaired (we have no disabilities); the room was large and easy to get around. There were two items worth mentioning from an ADA prospective: 1 the main... Read more

I have a severe nut allergy and felt an allergic response every time I passed through the front entry area. I thought at first it was the coffee shop but then realized it was strongest in front of the desk. It was dangerous and anxiety producing for me and required my taking allergy meds just to keep it at bay. I said something to the front desk but they literally shrugged it off. The rooms have no fridge. The workout facilities are particularly nice. As far as the conference went, it was emb... Read more

Just stayed here for a wedding, it was a great stay, clean rooms, beautiful hotel, all staff were very friendly and very accommodating. Would recommend this hotel, had a separate room for the after wedding party which was a great time, stayed there until 2 in the morning, just a perfect way to end the wedding.

Facilities that were major attractions for the hotel, their Pool and spa, were closed for maintenance during our stay. There was no update to their website about the closures. They overbooked the venue, hosting 7 wedding parties on the same weekend and failed to honor a reservation for our Groom, which had been booked for over 6 months, because he arrived late from his bachelor party. They refused to offer any solution to rectify their mistake and so our family had to shuffle our own rooms arou... Read more

After we arrived, took forever for the front desk staff to check us in. One staff member was helping a guest. The other was having a personal conversation with that guest, and another one was looking at computer screen not paying attention to the line of guests forming. When I finally was helped, my keys weren't activated and I had to trudge all the way back down to front desk again. Not what I wanted to do after driving 6 hours and dragging my luggage across the hotel because there was nowhere ... Read more
