I chose this hotel because of its location to the Red Sox's. The hotel was clean and the room was average for a city. I'm from New York so I do not expect flowers and butterflies but the staff were not very friendly. The entrance has stairs and no one was there to help us with our bags. The Windows did not have curtains on them only blinds which is strange for a hotel. The bathroom was tight and sink was a pedestal. However, this is to be expected since it is the oldest hotel in the city. Overa... Read more

I would personally like to thank Ny'Cole she was amazing and showed me everything I needed to know about the Boston area. Even when I called Priceline they did not want to cancel our reservation but when Ny'Cole called them she was able to get them to cancel without an additional fee. Upon arriving she was not in when we first got there but once she did upon us returning back to the hotel she was all smiles and happiness. She guided us to a restaurant Eastern Standard the first night and the sec... Read more

Public transport is just outside at the cross section and there are a selection of eateries in the area. The hotel itself is old... the room was average but at least clean with plenty of room. The only reason I'm giving this hotel an average rating is the price. I believe it is overpriced for what you get.

Stayed over for a girls night at Fenway. Close to everything, and convenient, with on site parking. Historic hotel with friendly staff and clean rooms. My only beef was the expense, and I was a little miffed that after I paid almost $400 a night (with ridiculous taxes), I still had to pay $35 for parking that I thought was included. My fault for not reading the fine print....but still!! Other than that, breakfast was good, and I enjoyed my stay.

My son had a late procedure at Mass General. We went to to their website to find affordable hotels and was shocked on how expensive they were so I searched on line my self and found the Buckminster. From the time of check in to check out, every staff member was so friendly. They upgraded us upon arrival at no additional charge. When I walked into the lobby, the thing that jumped out the most was that old world charm. This is not your cookie cutter boxy hotel and I definitely found the hotel I wi... Read more
