I can't wait to come back. We had a lovely room and peaceful view. This is where you go to enjoy a get away with no agenda. Everything is tasteful. Nothing over the top. the resort has a few activities but most of them are tame...which is a good thing. This is where you go to truly just get away and enjoy quiet time with people you love. The fitness center is good. the turndown service is welcome. They offer two BMW SVUs to take you to local restaurants. All in all, a nice spot and easy to get ... Read more

On our way down to the Outer Banks, my wife and I made a two-day pit stop at this classic retreat. For those of you that are movie buffs, The Inn at Perry Cabin was the site of the main wedding reception in the film Wedding Crashers. If you are familiar with the movie, you were probably thinking - wow what a venue! See for yourself and make a trip to this Chesapeake hideaway. If you are visiting St. Michaels or the general area, Perry Cabin is the place stay and take in Maryland's coastal be... Read more

This is a very nice hotel and the service was outstanding. Lots of little things done right. My wife and I enjoyed our time there immensely. The location is beautiful and the grounds were well kept. I rated this four stars due to the cost. Everything was nice, but not quite worth the pricing. The room was above average but did not scream a grand a night. The pricing of the food is what really bothered me. The food was just okay, not great, but the pricing was outrageous. I would stay at the hote... Read more

We recently returned from a one night stay at the Perry Cabin to celebrate my husband's birthday. Overall, it is a beautiful place, with an outstanding location and history, but could definitely be improved upon. The pros: The setting is breathtaking. The moment you turn into the property's driveway, it feels like you are in Provence- a beautiful road lined by trees and lavender bushes. The grounds are perfectly maintained, filled with gorgeous flowers. The hotel itself has a great collection o... Read more

We stayed for a for a day and a half and had a great time. They let us check in at 11am and have a 4pm check out. The entire stay we had attentive excellent service. We've stayed at many high line hotels and this would rank with any of them. The restaurant Stars was excellent. Within walking distance of downtown St Michael's, so it was very convince. Would highly recommend this Inn.

We stay at The Inn every time we visit St Michaels. Under General Manager Hein Olckers and the new owner the place improves with each visit. The staff is warm and welcoming. The physical improvements are noticeable each time. This visit new card locks for the rooms and a new awning. We visited the golf course now under construction and being redesigned by Pete Dye. The food is also better each visit. We could not have had a better experience.

Great hotel and luxurious setting, but could be better based on price paid. Daily included activities like kayaking, yoga, wine-tasting, and paddleboarding were offered which are great. We stayed with a baby and it would have been great to line up some babysitting, but there were none available. Our room was a studio and it didn't look out onto anything because it is obstructed by a wall. Free bikes enable you to get to the town area very easily which are a nice amenity.

St Michaels is a beautiful, historic town right on the water and this is a charming place to stay (much more reasonable rates mid-week and less traffic to get there). Whether it's breakfast on the terrace, afternoon-tea in a delightful sitting room or gorgeous crab cakes in 'the pub', you can't help but relax and look at life in a more positive way.

My family and I have stayed and visited Belmond several times without issue. Knowing how much my father enjoys it there we booked Father's Day brunch. After 45 minutes we got our bread and ice tea. About an hour and fifteen minutes we received room temp soup and 2 hours into lunch we finally got our crab cakes and salads. The food was mediocre at best. Out of the 20 tables, every single family there was waiting and looked annoyed. The servers didn't know which table to deliver to? The mana... Read more

My husband and I had a nice two-night getaway (without our toddler) at this inn. It's beautiful and in a beautiful setting. The grounds are carefully groomed and flowers are gorgeous. It feels about 20% too expensive for what it is, however. Small touches you'd expect at $650 a night were missed (used breakfast menu in room, weather left blank at turn-down, old-looking shower mat and most importantly, poor dinner service). But it was a relaxing stay, gorgeous setting, and the town is very cu... Read more

Wonderful facility in a picturesque location by the water in St. Michaels. The rooms and public spaces have hundreds of beautifully curated sailing and other nautically themed artwork and photographs. Room décor and linens; fitness facility; pool/pool bar and grounds are magnificent. Issues with our 5-day stay revolved around staff and a lack of professionalism or friendliness in some cases. As this happened more than once (which could have been a fluke), I'm flagging it here. Several pe... Read more

For a special occasion, you won't be disappointed in Perry Cabin. The water views and many exquisitely beautiful gardens create a delightful atmosphere. If you like to sail, there are expensive boats that one of the captains will take you out for a two hour sail. Six people and the captain fit on the sailboat we enjoyed. The pool is very clean and surrounded by more gardens. The dining at the main dining room or the patios outside is wonderful: the food is delicious, much selection to choose fro... Read more

My husband and I were looking for a peaceful, relaxing spot for a long time weekend away for our 5 year anniversary and this was the perfect spot! The location is fantastic, and the property is clean and well maintained. We stayed in room 49 and it was just stunning. We had a large balcony with a view of the grounds and the water. The bathroom was huge, but tastefully done. The staff were very professional and friendly, and the restaurants and bars were great. There's really a lot to do here, even including chartering both sail boats and a power cruiser that the property owns. My only regret is that we were only there for one night. ... Read more

This was our first visit to the area and I already want to go back! The town of St. Michaels has a unique charm to it and the resort echoes the vibe with its 'New England nautical' meets 'Southern hospitality'. The gardens are among the most beautiful I've ever seen! Perry Inns gardener clearly has a passion for her craft, it makes the resort way more than a waterfront beauty! We took part in the High Tea (Terry was fabulous!), a sunset sail (both the Captain and the waters were phenomenal!) ... Read more

Outstanding location and the service is excellent. Room is very tiny though, with zero view ( you get what you pay for). Also a nice huge resort tax is added to your bill at the end, along with a surcharge for room service. Did I mention the nice expresso machine in our room that did NOT work. Even the pen in the room did it work

For our anniversary, we splurged for a two night stay. It's a beautiful property, our room was spacious with outstanding views. Deluxe water view, room #19. The hotel staff are personable and were interested in our customer satisfaction at every turn. The pool is a large infinity style. Free transportation to town is provided upon request. The Inn at Perry's Cabin stands at the edge of the Lake and is very picturesque with the sailboats and catamarans. The restaurant is excellent for period style fine dining. Salmon, steaks, salads, all are superb quality. After lunch, its lovely to lounge in the garden, walk into gazebos and just watch the changing colours of the open sky. The Chesapeake Bay has a deep nautical history in colonial America and in creating a link between the settlers and the original inhabitants. St Michaels is... Read more

Very gorgeous resort, attention to detail, extremely friendly staff. We had a one bedroom, water view suite that was very spacious and lovely. Very charming, five star resort. What makes any hotel worth 5 stars? Spectacular property, beautiful room, outstanding service and wonderful activities. We had a premium room but it was worth the extra price. It was the kind of room you take a picture of when you see it. Only downside was little drawer space (a minor inconvenience). The staff is plentiful, young, energetic and can't do enough to serve the guests. The food at the Stars restaurant was great and although pricey, was especially good at breakfast and lunch. Eve... We arrived in a very heavy rain storm and an attendant immediately came to our car before we even had a chance to open our doors. My husband and I went to this lovely property for our anniversary and sadly, will not return any time soon. Without a doubt it is a lovely property in a lovely town, but the apathy, inattention and rudeness of the staff completely turned off us. 1. At this price point I should be impressed, and I wasn't. Service was awkward: I was staying for only one night, but I still had to listen to the endless description of everything the resort has to offer, and politely refuse multiple offers to carry my luggage (I had none). At a place like this, they should be able to tell when you just wish to be left in peace. The room was OK but quite small and with a view of a little, walled-in patio. Comfortable bedding.
