I stayed here recently and was very pleased. Check in was a breeze, my room was very clean, it was quiet, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was even good which was quite unusual. Typically the included breakfasts are bad, but Hampton Inn's was quite good. It is very close to the red line Silver Spring Metro which is a HUGE plus. You can take the Metro to most of the major attraction areas. The only issue is that the wifi was EXTREMELY spotty. Regardless, I will stay here... Read more

This is my first time staying at Hampton Inn Silver Spring. I was really glad. HISP is right in the middle of downtown Silver Spring. You can literally walk to Wholefoods, H&M, Marshalls, etc. I love to knit , even on vocation , so I was pleasantly surprised to see Michaels; the best hobby and craft shop ever. Of course, there is a Starbucks a short walk away, tons of various eating establishments; from pizzerias to Ethiopian ... Oh, and for those of us who love the movies there is a movie theat... I had the opportunity to visit Silver Spring, MD for the weekend of May 14-15, 2016. My Hampton Inn stay was comfortable and pleasant. The staff was professional and courteous. The King room was clean and spacious. The Fitness Room met my needs, for this quick trip. The hotel's location was ideal, for my purposes. If my personal schedule allowed, I would've extended my stay! I was glad I selected Hampton Inn Silver Spring, MD for my stay. I would stay there again.

This was my first stay at any Hampton Inn, and it did not quite measure up to other facilities offered by Hilton. Some amenities which are normally offered by other hotels (microwave and refrigerator) were absent (I had failed to check in advance). The room was very clean and quite and the staff were very efficient and friendly. The complementary breakfast was only acceptable, not interesting.

If you have low expectations stay here. If you want to remember the 1980's you'll like the furniture. Bring a cooler. Don't request something unless you have time to kill. Better remind them about your premium snack and soda. Location is good if you like paying for valet parking.

The lifeguard was inattentive and spent every minute on his phone and frequently let out a barrage of explicit language to the person he was talking to. This was a disaster waiting to happen. Additionally the pool hours are limited because you can only swim when this person is on duty.

We had an early doctors appointment and wanted to avoid traffic. Arrived on Sunday night, valet parked our vehicle, front desk provided menus so we could have a dinner available, went down for breakfast the next morning and had front desk call for our vehicle, vehicle was out front by time we finished breakfast. Maybe it was coincidence that my 4-night stay here overlapped with a Boy Scout troop, an out-of-town school band, and a whole lot of other folks. But the crowded conditions made breakfast a most unpleasant experience. The breakfast room really needs to be at least twice the size it is, if it is to accommodate so many people at once, Breakfast here made me want to go hide somewhere. I picked this hotel due to its proximity to the Fillmore, which is a block away. The hotel is set back slightly from the road which means you can miss observing it as you drive by. The signage is high up on the building. This is an unusual Hampton Inn in that it coexists as a Homewood Suites. There are dual front desks, which was a bit surprising. This Hampton Inn was fairly ordinary as far as Hampton Inns go. The room A/C was extremely loud and the hotel overall was very busy. We were not able to avail ourselves of the comp breakfast but it looked pretty routine for a Hampton. The standout factor was the price. The location was great, the hotel was great, but the service was less desirable. Not to many staff I came in contact with had a smile or was friendly. I am from the DMV originally and so I know we don't smile a lot. But that's in the street. You should have a friendly staff when in ANY hotel where you are paying money for. Staff was just very non chalant. And the person checking me in must have been having a bad day. I guess thats what kind of service Hilton Honors gold members get in Silv... Read more

While the hotel staff was very nice and always meet my needs, the room was OLD and TIRED, I asked one of the managers that since this is a corporate property how did they let it get into this condition and was told that it is scheduled for a remodel sometime in 2017

This was the first trip to the DC area for my great nephew(11) and my brother(62). The hotel was near the metro which we used daily. There were lots of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and the staff at the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful. When I asked the concierge to call us a taxi he insisted on taking us where we were going.

Driver service was nice within three mile radius. Breakfast was pretty good but they have yet to release the hold on my card which would put the price above Sheraton in the same area. Water was given upon arrival and there is coffee and tea available

This hotel sits just on the edge of downtown and is a 5 minute walk to the Metro. The staff are friendly and professional, rooms are clean and quiet, and the location is perfect. I will definitely stay here again.

We were looking for a hotel in Silver Spring and found the Hampton Inn listed on Trip Advisor. It was located near public transit (easy to get to DC), restaurants, and in a pleasant part of town. It was very clean, attractive, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. It was a great value.

The service is amazing, especially the parking/valet attendant (Belmy? Bely?). We stayed in room 501 (facing the front of the hotel). It was at times a bit noisy, but nothing unbearable or woke us up. Yes the furniture is a bit worn down, it was very clean room and that's what counts the most for us. The only negative thing I would say is that i wish there was a mini fridge for my son's food and the plumbing needs to be updated. There were times where it sounded like a jackhammer b/c someon... This is a great location to walk to the movies and restaurants. The moment my love and I arrive, we was welcome with care. Front Desk was ready and very helpful. Ask any questions related to your room or area, they are more helpful to newcomers to the city.

This hotel is on the "main drag" from the Metro station, and is an easy walking distance to Metro and Whole Foods. I chose it over the others that are within a block or so because of the free breakfast. I wasn't expecting it, but the breakfasts are great!!!! Not continental - hot breakfasts. Eggs, you name it. Like the hot breakfast buffets I've been to in Europe. The room has comfortable bed, just like you expect fro. Any Hampton Inn. Clean. Quiet. Staff is great! Can't ask for more.

We stayed as a couple at this hotel, for convenience to get to Washington DC . It is ideal for the metro, being 5 minutes walk away and more reasonably priced in the area to eat at than Washington itself. It was a busy but well equipped hotel, only criticism is that the swimming pool is only open between 4-10pm , where I prefer a morning swim. Husband loved the waffle makersū???

Pool hours are not as posted 10am-10pm on pool door, but the pool doesn't actually open until 4pm-10pm. The valet and entryway area are a hazard zone, and employees are a nightmare. We would not stay here again, if it were the only place available. The wifi is a joke!

Front desk was courteous and helpful; breakfast was good too. Bed was a little uncomfortable but for one night was fine. The room and bathroom was very clean-- no hairs in the tub or anything like that. Stayed there for a show at the Fillmore, just a couple steps from the hotel. Also great restaurants very close to hotel. Everyone who worked there was very nice and helpful. Would stay there again.

This is a combined Hampton Inn and Homewood Suites...... actually it's hard to tell the difference. Just an average property in the city. Rooms were run of the mill Hampton rooms, nothing fabulous. The higher floor rooms help with the traffic noise. Parking is primarily valet unless you are comfortable walking a couple of blocks from hotel to retrieve your car in a garage. As a woman, I did not feel comfortable walking around in late hours of evening. A few places you can walk to for d... Read more

Always friendly and accommodating. Since our son moved to Silver Spring, Kathryn and I have enjoyed visiting him and staying at this Hampton Inn property. The staff has always met our requests for extra pillows and other amenities. The rooms are clean and well decorated. Some rooms have quirky features like jutting out to include a window. Having stayed in a windowless room in New Orleans, I really appreciate it and understand the need to maximize space. The breakfast room is large. There is a... Read more

We had no issues with check in or our room other than it missing the shower curtain. However, such an oversight is easily overlooked when you feel like you got your money's worth. The location was perfect, the staff were nice, and the breakfast really helped start the day. Would like to stay here again.

One of the reasons why, I picked an Hampton Inn was because, I have stayed at other locations in different states and was very satisfied. This one though, I was not happy with. The building that the Hampton Inn is located in also shares the space with the Homewood estates. For starters the regular Hampton Inn breakfast area was sub par quality for Hampton Inn. Not to mention definitely not as nice as the Home suites breakfast area. The room was decent but the bathroom sounded as though con... Read more

We stayed here so we could avoid driving home late after a concert at The Fillmore. It was easy walking distance and convenient. Hotel was clean, staff friendly. The complementary breakfast was satisfactory. Theregions were cold items, a waffle iron, and oatmeal, eggs, and sausage links. It would have been nice to have more selection, but it was certainly sufficient. Valet parking staff were friendly and professional.

The bed was comfortable, the view of the city was good and the customer service was mediocre. Received a text on my phone from front desk telling me if I needed anything to let them know.
