The room, staff and overall location was great. The room was very clean, it was a good location, central to many restaurants, the metro and other entertainment. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable about the area. I would stay there for both personal and business need again.

I stayed here for 1 night around the Christmas holiday. I was initially assigned a room on the 5th floor (505), but it smelled like smoke, so they moved me to another one on the 5th floor, which smelled like smoke and air freshener, so they finally moved me to a room that didn't smell gross (on the 7th floor). The staff was perfectly fast and friendly about the room changes, and the one we ended up in was okay. In generally, I'd say that this is a fairly well managed hotel with an aging stru... Read more

I have encountered many Courtyard Marriotts that seem to have a unique charm of their own (e.g., San Antonio, San Diego, San Francisco etc.) and this one gets added to my list as having a cozy, fun retro feel, and seemingly well managed. That said, it is a Marriott Courtyard chain hotel and it would be a stretch to describe a legendary 5-star experience. Access to registration is through a short bridge directly from the fifth floor of an adjoining public garage, or from a street elevator lobby... Read more

We stayed here because it was affordable and close to the Metro so we could get into DC easily and visit the sites there. We were not disappointed! As soon as we walked in the door from the parking garage (literally!), we were greeted by a friendly front desk clerk. Lobby and the room were nice with an older decor that we didn't mind at all. The walk to the Metro is about ten minutes and the red line gets you right into the city in about 20 minutes. We ate dinner at two local restaurants that we... Read more

I am having a very difficult time deciding where to begin. Let me see ?? Should I mention that it takes forever to get lukewarm water in the bathroom, including the shower? And believe me, it never gets to hot. Or should I mention that the room and the hallways smell funny, and I am certain that it has been more than a week since the elevator carpet was vacuumed? Should I mention that the pillows are something you might find in a Third World country hotel, but never the United States of America... Read more

We stayed at this hotel for a soccer tournament and were greatly surprised. The location of this hotel was great with walking distance from many good restaurants and a shopping center. It was in the city center of Silver Springs. The rooms were nothing special but the hotel had a welcoming lobby with great collaboration spaces. This hotel was way better than other Marriot hotels we've been to.

I really liked the Marriott Courtyard in Silver Spring, Maryland because of how clean the environmental area really is. The front desk receptionist has been very professional and respectful towards me. The prices are very affordable at $129 per night is a great way to get a good night's rest and, etc. I would truly recommend this to anyone who wants great quality.

Stayed in this hotel on a business trip. The rooms were exceptionally clean and well equipped. It was ideally located for moving around the town which gave good access to the local eateries. Breakfast in the morning was good and freshly good. The staff were o.k. but you felt as if you were interrupting their social life when asking a question. That said I would stay there again on a business trip.

I chose this hotel based on the reviews on TripAdviser and I have to say that the reviews were accurate. The hotel was clean, in a great area, and provided good amenities, such as having a Washington Sports Club on the 2nd Floor. However, what I was not told was that some of the staff has disdain for guests. We checked in around midnight during the week and my family immediately went to bed. Since I had phone call to make to a close friend that evening, I proceeded to head down to the lobby. I ... Read more

Easy walk from the metro station. This hotel was quiet and the rooms were adequate. The entrance is on the 3rd floor, so go through the door off Fenton St. and take the elevator to the 3rd floor. The elevator is slow and can only go between 1 and 3. You must use your key to go up the elevator to the rooms. With your stay, you can use the fitness center on the 1st and 2nd floor.
