Spent a night here as we had an early appointment nearby. Comfortable hotel with a nice lobby. Breakfast was good. Room was small but comfortable. Price was very affordable. Staff was extremely friendly. No issues with outside noise, which is good since it is close to a highway.

Room quality was good. Free wi-fi seemed sluggish. Location is about 2 miles from Metro station but it's only $5.10 to park there all day. Good-sized room fridge and shower stall. Overall good value but don't expect the world at this price point.

I checked in at hotel in evening time and evening guy i do not remember his name. first he gave me room which was non smoking double and i entered in room and i found the hair in bathroom and bed. i called desk clerk and he came and change my room and he gave me another room key and i found hair on floor i took the pictures too. on second day in morning the breakfast lady was so RUDE. when i asked her to refill the breakfast she just argued with me. and i complained to the morning desk clerk. w... The people behind the desk are helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean but a bit damp smelly. The beds were clean and comfortable. My only complaint would be that it's a bit noisy. We were put on the first floor and the first night a school was visiting and staying in the floor above us and the kids were running all night long. Had I know that I would have asked to be put on the floor above. Also the cleaning staff are wonderful but are quite noisy when chatting with each other in the mornin... Read more

Room wasn't too bad. However, the hallway reaked of pot smell. We had ants in our room called front desk they said they'd take care of it which they did. The breakfast was OK. No microwave in room that would have been a great thing to have. Room had fridge. No bus parking our driver had to back all the way down to get in front of door. Overall besides getting our contact buzz in the hall it was OK.

Short and sweet this hotel stay was exactly what I needed and everything worked out great. I made a last minute decision to venture up to Washington DC for an extended weekend. I booked this hotel for 4 days an hour before I left for DC and it worked out great. Driving distance to downtown is over an hour with traffic, Shady Grove metro red line terminal was about 8 minutes away with parking for $5.50 a day. Metro about 30 minutes to downtown. Room and service was great from the time I got there... Read more

I booked this hotel through Priceline, which has a partnership with booking.com. The day before my trip, I called to alert them that I would be staying one day, not two. Somehow booking.com did not have a record of my reservation, which I made two months before. Then, they could not automatically change it, even though the hotel said it was OK. When I got to the hotel, they said that they had to handle my reservation manually, because the booking.com reservation did not go through. Very wei... Read more

This hotel is just a few miles away from the Shady Grove Metro into D.C. There is plenty of parking and it is not located right off a high traffic area which would make entering and exiting the property difficult. The room is clean and inviting, the bathroom easily explains the term "water closet", as it is quite small and enclosed. It is functional and comfortable, but I can see one who is clusterphobic to have a concern with it. There is free Wi-Fi available and breakfast. The pool is... Read more

My overall experience staying at the any choice-hotel brand is GREAT! I recently I stayed at this hotel on June 25th, 2016 for less than 3 hours and checked out after saw a bedbug. The outside building kind of looks new, but the rooms are fairly small with the tiny standing shower tub. Stairways hall-ways carpet is old and dirty, floor was not to be walked on without shoes. I wonâ??t recommend this hotel to anyone, and we had a bed bugs crawling next the wooden closet against the wall, after an... Read more

I had never stayed at a Sleep Inn before, although I have used many Choice Hotels previously. With the rate they were charging me, I wasn't expecting much. It was a bit hard to find this hotel, even with GPS, if you approach from the wrong direction as the signage isn't very obvious. But I had clean bedding with a mattress encased in plastic and covered with two sheets and padded mattress cover. I always check for bed bugs when arriving in a hotel room, and saw nothing and no sign of them. The... Read more

In the area for several weeks for a work project, we spent one week here after a serious rate hike at a nearby hotel we had been using. We certainly lucked out with this change of venue. Everything was very nice. Our bed was comfortable with good linens, above and bedside lighting great for reading. Sleep Inns feature a sink area outside the stall shower/toilet room which is okay for us but which could be a problem for those with privacy issues. Water pressure and temperature were very good. The Sleep Inn is my regular spot when I am visiting the Rockville area. The place is very clean and reasonably comfortable. The staff are very nice, and you certainly can't beat the price point. Even though you are very close to I-270, the rooms are well-insulated from outside noise. The only downside is that the individual ventilation systems in the rooms tend to be very noisy as they cycle on and off (very often during the night). I am a light sleeper, and I often turn the ventilation sys... Read more

Stayed here for 3 nights and needed 2 adjoining rooms. We got them and the wifi was great. The breakfast to be be desired but we barely woke up in time for it anyway. Strong WiFi to be a hotel, I had two teenagers and an 8 year old with us and we surely needed it. The rooms did the trick, nothing fancy and no restaurant in the hotel but there are plenty nearby driving distance. Microwave was not in room but the fridges in room were very helpful and handy. I would surely stay here again...Great l... Read more

Room was comfortable and clean. In-room coffee and fridge. Breakfast with eggs, sausage, DIY waffles, cereals, juice, coffee, etc. Very close to many dining locations. Nice area. Hotel is not luxurious but neither is the price. Easy on/off highways.

Four night-stay due to the Choice Hotels Launch Class and I was lucky enough to encounter Sujag. Great service, great young man and top notch. There isn't enough room to express my appreciation for Sujag and his co-worker Tony. Sujag is the prime example of customer service at its best. Thank you. Only problem we ran into with the exception of the spotty wifi was on the final day of our classes, they decided to stop running the shuttle from the hotel to the Choice Hotels headquarters. No advance... Read more

As tourists looking for a reasonably priced hotel within a reasonable distance from Washington DC, we were very pleased with our choice. The hotel is modern, clean, comfortable, and met our needs perfectly. We had an incredibly comfortable stay in our hotel room, and the simple and basic breakfast was good enough to set us up for the day. The bedroom comes equipped with a fridge and coffee maker, and tea and coffee facilities are available in the reception throughout the day. Breakfast options a... Read more

Let me start by saying that the price is very reasonable, the rooms were clean, stocked with a fridge and breakfast was free, those were the pros, the cons were, breakfast was bad, I'm talking bad, it was serve yourself with styrofoam plates, tasteless scrambled eggs and a choice of stale bagels, stale croissants or muffins, with dubious sausage patties ,it was redeemed slightly by fresh fruits and standard oj/apple juice, but the real issue is that check in is 3pm and check out is 11 am,no earl...
