Our reservations were for the 5th floor which is wonderful. For a little more $ per night, you get free beverages, and food. We were treated to hamburgers and fries one evening and salmon burgers and fries the next. There were also fresh veggies and dip and fruit. Coffee and tea available too. Since we stayed on a weekend, we were given vouchers for the breakfast buffet each morning. Room was spacious. WiFi great. Short drive to the Shady Grove metro. Loved the location of the hotel. We needed a place to stay for one night, while in visiting family. The place was clean, the rooms were nice and the staff was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant wasn't the best, but it was fine for a quick morning bite

I spent 5 nights with no problem. The room is very big and you feel very comfortable. The swimming pool is good for business trip. The restaurant is charming and the food is very good. The staff is very helpful and the shuttle can take you wherever you want without any fees in one condition : not more than 2.2miles

For one who travels a lot you look for certain things in hotels than help you feel at home. The restaurant has a decent menu and well prepared (chicken noodle soup and salads could use bread instead of crackers) the space isn't very cozy. I wish they had a cafe feel especially for morning or afternoon cappuccino type thing. Fifth floor lounge is a little silly because it's right off the elevators. The staff is great there but wish they served some alcohol in the evening. The little food alcove i... Read more

The hotel was very clean and the room was very spacious. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly. We were staying here for the day on our way back home and we booked it because they had a pool. When we headed downstairs on our way to the pool they said it was closed! The only hours they offer was 6am to 10am and 5pm to 10pm. My 2yo and husband were really looking forward to playing and relaxing a bit, but ended up being very disappointed. For the rate you pay for the room they should ... Read more

We stayed there on a holiday weekend and they were completely booked. We requested an early check-in, never expecting it to be possible. The front desk ensured that one room was cleaned early and waiting for us. The staff was incredibly thoughtful. The room itself was huge, comfy bed, great shower and the Starbucks pods in the room made excellent coffee. It's close to the 270, so easy in and easy out.

I wish I could say that this property is as good as it was FIVE years ago. I can't. First the restaurant was charming and a place where you might wish to meet a friend for lunch, five years ago! Now it is grungy and Uninviting. The place was spotless and had an upscale vibe five years ago: now the carpeting on the Club floor was stained and there was a feeling that it needed refreshing. The front desk crew was classy this time, in fact better than our first visit. The weekend we were ther... Read more

I visited this hotel during Memorial Day weekend and I will never come back again.About a two hours after departure I remembered that I forgot hanger in hotel room with few pieces of my own clothes. I called hotel immediately and ask them to verify if my clothes were still in the room. This is solid family hotel where we have stayed many times when we visit grandkids in Maryland. Don't expect 5 star, because it is not a 5 star. They have excellent service and staff. We scheduled our daughter's baby shower in a small room they have next to the dinning room. It fit 40 just fine. The staff and food (breakfast type food) was excellent and we really enjoyed ourselves. The price was right as well.

Stayed one night on my travels back to NY. Conveniently right off the expressway. It was clean, large and adequate and the price was right. Breakfast is not included ($15 ouch). I would stop here again if my travels go this way.

We went to Rockville to visit family and chose this hotel because of its location, Sheraton name, and online description. The exterior of the hotel and convenient parking were a plus, but, inside, there were problems. On the good side, the facility is attractive and generates a pleasant impression. Also, the staff with whom we interacted were friendly and interested in being helpful. The problem appears to be on the design and management side. We paid extra to stay on the "Club Floor" but had... Read more

I stayed at the Sheraton Rockville for a one-night stay with my family while in the DC area. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The location is easy to access once you exit the Interstate. The hotel was very quiet, with little hallway noise. The only negative was the size of the shower/tub. It was the smallest I've ever seen in a hotel, very cramped.

A place for the business traveller to stay. Conveniently close to main highways but far away from "anything". Few restaurants in the vicinity. The hotel has a restaurant. The impression is bland and boring. Large rooms with good bed. No outside noise to consider.

Hotel is situated in a quite new area. Stayed on the club floor. Rooms are big and nice, but the club lounge isn‚??t really a lounge ‚?? a few tables at the elevator. The food/hors d‚??oeuvre served in club is ok ‚?? which is better than some other Sheratons I‚??ve stayed at. If you want a clean and nice room, a quite new hotel and free parking ‚?? and nothing more ‚?? then this is a good pick. But don‚??t expect anything extra from the club floor.

I stayed here for 1 night for a at hotel business meeting. The room was a bit small and had fairly old furnishings. The A/C unit was floor mounted sort of like a Hampton Inn, not something I expect from a Sharaton. It has an in house premises restaurant which was ok, the service was very slow. Nothing wrong with the place. Just a bit tired and uninspiring.

This hotel is not a great hotel for business travellers. The biggest problem for me, which can be easily corrected, is the chair in the room. It is too low and not adjustable. So, it is really uncomfortable working on the computer in the evenings. The Club Lounge is weak. It is an open area next to the elevator - so, access is really not restricted. The breakfast lady does a nice job but is overwhelmed at times with all the work by herself (getting food from downstairs, refilling the food,... Read more

The staff, service, and quality of the hotel were all very good. There is a business center, bar, restaurant, pool, and fitness center. The rooms were very nice but the lighting in the room was not very good at all. Having stayed there for two weeks, it would have been nice to have access to a refrigerator and microwave, which was a bummer. There is on-site laundry which was nice, and relatively inexpensive ($2/load= wash and dry). It was also sort of strange that the stairways only lead outside... Read more

This hotel was very clean and well appointed. Looked newly built. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only negative I have is the breakfast buffet. It was lame. Not even close to being worth the $18 they charge for it. Either get a package that includes breakfast or buy some Pop-tarts for your room! Also I prefer outdoor pools, but I live in the Deep South- not much snow like this area! Location is great if you don't want to spend more to stay closer into DC and if you don't mind riding th... Here on a quick business trip. This hotel is definitely geared toward the business traveler but it's lacking the essentials. Good luck finding a usb charging port in your room. They don't exist. No plugs near the bed. Forget having your phone nearby. Didn't try their internet so I can't say if it's on par or not. Those things I can live with though odd for a 'business' hotel. I'll ditto what others have said about this property--it seems to be geared primarily for the business traveler. No microwave or fridge in our room and no free breakfast. There wasn't even a table where we could eat a pizza in our room, just a very long desk. Even the tables in the lounge area were not set up for games or a snack. And the pool was open only from six till ten in the morning and then from five to ten at night during weekdays. That was a major disappointment on the very hot da... Read more

Stayed one night at this hotel on the way to D.C. because I got it on Priceline for an awesome price. I called the hotel after making the reservation to make a bedding request. Gentleman I spoke with was very nice and I thought everything was good. The hotel could use some renovation and a good scrub down. The bright spot here is the "club level" rooms on floor 5 which are exceptionally nice, large and spotlessly clean. They are more than worth the $20 extra charge to stay there. It is like a different hotel, so luxurious and the club room itself is filled with breakfast items and snacks which makes this level and even better buy. Three-star Sheraton formula applied masterfully. I keep coming back here and feel completely at home every time. Clean, comfortable rooms in a quiet area. Helpful staff and decent restaurant. Close to the NIH and I-270 biotech corridor, but without the DC-area premium. Wouldn't stay anywhere else.
