Spent a week at our timeshare at the Coconut Malorie..lots of postives here! Front desk staff friendly and helpful.Great location..off the main street so pretty quiet.Early in season so town not overrun with tourists.Rooms pretty basic but clean...could use a bit more counterspace in kitchenette..maybe a pullout counter.Beds comfy.Huge bathroom with lovely Jacuzzi bath:) Lovely walk on boardwalk on beach side.Overall a very nice getaway:)

We stayed 3 days and 2 nights and the AC was not turned on yet so it was 79 in our room with a 3 month old. The following morning, we finally went to complain along with everyone else and they were handing out fans. My husband said to him this is supposed to be a nice resort and we have no AC and the gentleman at the desk said, "THEN GO TO A HOTEL". The day we were checking out, we had to carry our bags down to the car because the elevator was out of service. The entire weekend there were LOUD m... Read more

We had a family vacation at the Coconut Malorie recently. I was a little nervous after reading some mixed reviews, but I shouldn't have worried. Our room was comfortable and well equipped. The bed was comfy, and the spa bath was very nice. Everything was spotless. The staff members were professional, but also relaxed and friendly. The hotel is on the bay side, with a network of walkways for exploring the area. Fagers Island, a restaurant and nightclub, is behind the hotel. It's convenient ... Read more

I booked a room in this hotel for memorial day weekend back in January. I put in a special request for an early check in. the site does not allow you to write in am or pm. you simply check the boxes with the designated times. To my surprise I received a confirmation that they would be able to process this request. I called the hotel to confirm this early check in since next week we will be arriving, Kyle the manager was so rude to me on the phone! he said there is no way I would ever approve som... Read more

This is the first time me and my boyfriend stayed in this hotel. We booked the presidential suite last minute for $209 a night not including tax. We went down for crusin week. When I got there the front desk was very polite and welcoming. The elevator was very slow and old, took 5 mins for the door to actually open and close- no exaggeration. We got to the ro and it was absolutely beautiful. Tub was kinda unclean, water took a while to warm up but it wasn't bad. Then we ordered pizza and as we w... Read more

We checked in yesterday. Our room was dirty, the couch was worn, ripped and stained. We learned that the couchs were purchased 12 years ago. The floor was also dirty. We were given another room which appeared to be cleaner. The tv remote didn't work and we were given a new remote. The couch was also worn and we covered it with a sheet. I noticed a foul odor and looked under the couch and there was a dead mouse! This also explains why there was a sticky rodent pad under the stand that holds the ... Read more

well it ended up being a great stay. I booked my suite in march, when we arrived in June, I was told that some guests the night before had damaged some rooms and they were trans us to their "sister" hotel. that sister hotel was more like a motel. disguising. I promptly turned back around and demanded to speak to the manager at the time. He quickly found us a new room there, and it was upgraded at no additional charge, to the Presidential Suite. and I was given a voucher/certificate for a free n... Read more

Our first room was dirty, couch was worn and ripped. Mattress cover on pull out couch was ripped and dirty. We were given a second room and found a dead mouse under the couch. We took pictures of the mouse as well as the mouse trap tape we found under the table that held the toaster and coffee maker. We checked out the same day we checked in and were given a full refund. The hotel is dirty over all.

If you are interested in staying at hotel that has made virtually no updates since the 80's then this is the place for you!! From the minute you open the front door of this hotel you can tell it is not a well maintained property. There is rust on the doors and the paint on the trim around the doors looks like a child painted it. The rooms are very outdated looking and smell musty. The floors are covered in the cheapest tile, while the furniture is old, dated, and damaged. The bath rooms are... Read more

I will concur with the out dated rooms and the musty smell of the hotel. The staff was very nice; the view was incredible and the price is reasonable. If you want to pay $300 a night to sleep at the beach then this is not the place for you. I enjoyed the Malore. I will add that the free WiFi was horrible.

We have been coming to this hotel for at least 15 years (time share) and it has gotten progressively worse. This year we were in room 305. The only good things I can say are that the AC and the ice maker in the fridge worked. The bay-side view is great, but Fager's is VERY loud until 2am. The bad: There was black mold on the bedroom ceiling. Completely unacceptable. The couch/sofa bed was so dirty - the arms were black and I swear that it's the same couch that's been there for at least 10 ye... Read more

Second time at CM and recently stayed 3 days. Not great, but certainly not bad, despite the previous terrible reviews, which had me a bit worried leading up to the trip. A note to CM: NOT good to have your future guests worried about their stay before even getting there. Lobby still very appealing and staff was very nice and accommodating whenever we needed anything. Pleasantly surprised by lack of noise while in the room (thank you quiet neighbors!). View overlooking the bay was excellent!... Read more

The location of the resort is not bad - it is only across the highway from the beach and it is easy to get there. Views from most of the rooms are towards the bay, which is very nice and picturesque, see photos at this review. Oh, and there is a very nice restaurant/ bar between this hotel and the bay. But this is it... Few things you must know before you choose this hotel: - Resort is very tired - everything is outdated big time - Rooms are smelly - Carpets are not clean (I guess, due to t... We stay here every year as part of a timeshare program. The hotel is old, extremely outdated and just not enjoyable. We had a one bedroom and i just never enjoy when it's time to go back to the room. I question the cleanliness, it smells musty and old. My 2 children slept on the pull out couch and the mattress was damp when we pulled it out. The front desk staff don't dress professionally and are very uninterested. Just not a place that i would recommend. Hope that they put money into it a... Read more

So, my wife and I had been interested in staying at the Coconut Malorie for 5 or more years. It is a partner resort with our Timeshare. OC Maryland is one of our regular weekend destinations however, the Coconut Malorie was always booked. Finally this summer there was a 2 night reservation available as the result of a cancellation. Well, we scooped up the reservation and we're excited to stay there. We read some of the negative reviews on TA and were intrigued because the hotel has 100% occupanc... Read more

I am a timeshare owner here, and have been coming here since 2000. When I first came here the place was buzzing, it had the heir of a legitimate establishment with pride and dignity, the pool was always a festive environment with a Margerittaville type of mood as music played during the day, there was a outside bartender who served up light refreshments. The office staff could be seen bustling around to and fro during the day. Well those days are over. When we entered this week, there were porta... Read more

Very nice place. It was our first time there and we both enjoyed it. We had a 1 bedroom suite facing the bay. The view was great and there was a nice breeze on the balcony. Staff was very nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend a condo here. Very clean and well kept.

This "resort" has changed over the years! My parents are timeshare holders and we have been coming here every summer for many years. For many years, the place was nice, clean, smelled well, had great customer service and provided its guests with many activities to do. When you walked into the "resort" this summer, there were fans blowing in the extremely hot and humid air conditioned lobby to try to at least keep it cool. The elevator mirrors were full of finger prints and had not been cleaned ... Read more

This is one of the most difficult things I ever rated on Trip Advisor...been going to OCMD for about 20 years, never had the chance to stay here but always walked by on the way to Fagers Island. The outside looks great & parking (5). The lobby can use a little makeover & the front desk/staff & pool area (3). Things took a turn for the worse as the elevator was slow & filthy (1). Hallways were OK (3). Room looked OK (3) but the floors were also seemed not cleaned (after shower the floors when wet... Read more

We've stayed at Coconut Mallory for many years & love staying here but rooms are starting to show that they need updating. We love the location (next to Fagers & Bad Monkey, short walk to other restaurants as well) but there are so many options to stay in OCMD (including a Martiott coming next to it) that we may start to look around at other options and not just automatically book this vacation resort every year. The pool is nice & clean, most of the rooms have really good views as well. The ... Read more

I wanted to take a short trip to Ocean City, MD, and elected to do so without any advance planning. Naturally I went to Trip Advisor to review my options. In doing so I elected to use Booking.com. Trip Advisor is apparently connecting potential clients to multiple discount aggregators in including Expedia and Orbitz among others. I only selected Booking.com because that was the first choice, but at any rate this isn't a review about Booking.com or Trip Advisor. After reviewing all the options,... Read more

We booked the Coconut Malorie as a last minute thing for a couple nights. The location is nice, close to the Coastal Highway but far enough away to not be disturbed. It is not on the boardwalk, but it does have a nice view of the inlet. We stayed in a Queen suite on the fifth floor and were initially entranced by the room. It is a little outdated, perhaps, but for the price we paid it was a lovely room with a beautiful view. Then we realized just how hot it was. I checked the thermostat and it i... Read more

Room was filthy, the carpet in the bed room disgusting, Roaches in the bathroom, mold along the base of the shower curtain. Light blub out in bathroom. it needs to close down and clean and exterminate . The Manager I was told by Expedia knows of the issues and only offers a 20% discount. The hotel is also running under a different name Fiesta not The Coconut Malorie Resort.
