I was a little disappointed that the upstairs restaurant wasn't open when we stayed - this is now the 2nd time it was closed and neither time did they mention this when the reservations were made. One of the reasons we like to stay there is the indoor pool and the upstairs bar/restaurant. Hopefully this new one opening 360 will stay for a while.

Although the staff at the hotel was nice the hotel is very dated. It needs much cleaning and it is not on the beach. It is across the from the beach a little walk but if you look at the online pictures on their website it seems the hotel is right on the boardwalk. The new restaurant bar on the last floor closes early and for the breakfast they serve the service is very slow. The only upside is that this is a pet friendly hotel. For the price this place should be a lot nicer than it is. It really needs to be updated. It wasn't dirty or disgusting but it was outdated and could use some love. The staff were friendly... Top floor bar has nice view and good HH drinks. Friendly staff. Live music but lousy accoustics. Also does weekend breakfast buffet for 10 bucks which was just ok but a nice easy option. Very accommodating to dogs and staff friendly. Pool was OK, but appears a little dirty. The beds were comfortable, but I recommend asking for firm pillows or bringing your own. The shower pressure wasn't too great, but water was nice and hot. Toilet made dripping sound at night. The door to the room needed adjustment to the latch. If bringing a dog, don't forget the kennel so the staff can clean while you're away!

The price was ok at 200 a night and it seemed like the only place in OC that did not require a 3 night stay on the weekend. Rooms are clean, but could use some paint and trim touch ups. Forget the pool area in the summer, it's basically a closed in greenhouse sauna. Not relaxing, would rather sweat on the beach, and the beach was more quiet. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the room decor had been updated. It was also nice and clean as well as bright. We enjoyed our stay. However, the elevators were slow and we could n't use the pool because on the first day of arrival, a patron let their young child poop in the pool so we were not confident that it has been cleaned sufficient so opted to not use it. That was frustrating. However, the restaurant especially the patio was a pleasant surprise as well. We had a good time and wil... Read more

Rooms were average, didn't like that it didn't state hotel was across the busy road from beach and it definitely is not 350 ft away from beach. Pool isn't as big as it looks in picture and bathroom is tiny and was told they had no extra cots for us to use. Staff was nice. But hotel is a bit run down and hallways were very stinky and old.

We stayed overnight on Friday September 2, 2016, the check in process was smooth, speedy and the concierge desk were polite, friendly and most efficient. We enjoyed breakfast in the dining room the next day, which was delicious, lots of variety and choices, welcoming efficient dining room staff. When we checked out it was a speedy pleasant experience, and it was during the height of a storm, we would loved to have stayed another night but were not able. We absolutely loved The Fenwick Inn! The front desk people were dog lovers and it showed. The room was a good size and the 'dog beach' wasn't far. Easy to get to and centrally located to everything needed. Regular beach was just down the block! We went the end of the season but there was still lots to do. Pros are definitely friendly staff, nice pool and a quiet area near the DE border. Clean overall. Two blocks to the beach on coastal highway. Cons unfortunately outweigh because of the price. Roof-top bar / restaurant was nice and quiet for dinner, beautiful views. Negatives: Wi-fi SUCKED, almost non-existent. Nowhere to walk pets on property - have to go across the street. Our server in the hotel's restaurant, 360, was Erica. Erica was kind, courteous, personable, and prompt with service. She is a one-woman ambassador for the Fenwick Inn! Our breakfast meal was excellent, too! We had a small issue with our room that, when we reported the problem, Megan at the front desk was on it immediately!
