Spent 3 days here - middle of the week so not much going on at the hotel itself. Had a 3rd floor, ocean front room which was awesome for mid-May, but probably terrible in summer since it was over the outdoor bar. Bathroom lacked a fan so it steamed up rather quickly. We had to ask for bedding for the sofa bed, which was extremely uncomfortable!! We only asked for room cleaning once; and other than the bed being straightened up, you couldn't tell - it smelled "stale". Cable TV was poor -... Read more

The hotel is very nice. The rooms are expensive. Pretty basic double room. Our bathroom had ants. The elevator in the atrium is AWFUL and slow and was the only way to our room unless we wanted to hike around the entire hotel. BUT all in all it was nice to stay in May. I wouldn't want to stay during crowded season due to the slow elevators. It does attract large groups which are often very noisy.

This was my third stay at Carousel. I attend the annual Art of the Belly conference held there and typically rent a single because the workshops and performances are held there. On the last morning of my stay a mouse ran across the room and disappeared in the curtains. The mouse then ran across the floor and disappeared under the dresser. I called the front desk to report the mouse. I called again 28 minutes later. I finally went to a friends room. Very disappointed that management did nothing t... Read more

Reserved a 3-bedroom condo for a mini-week, Thursday to Sunday, the second weekend of May, 2016. Accommodations were clean, and wonderful. The check-in was efficient, very personable and professional for all of us. The condo had 3-bedrooms, 2-bath, with all of the kitchen amenities and appliances needed, plus the stay included towels, bedding and soaps for the entire weekend. It was a wonderful stay. Amber and Dawn were incredibly helpful, those two alone makes me unable to wait to return. The hotel was clean, had immaculate amenities, great view, as per someone else's review stay away from the atrium, however the room I requested surpassed the expected expectations. Definitely a plus if you have children. Will be returning.

The Hotel needs to be renovated, its a little dated, the staff was not so friendly, but the family activites at the Hotel was great. The Ice Skating ring, the indoor out door pool was great....I wish the kiddie pool was open because I had two todler with us but over all it was a wonderul time. The Bars and the restaurants had good food. We had a wonderful time, I would recommend famlies to come here.

Condo 1605 @ the Carousel was fantastic! The condo was recently updated and set to our likings! New furniture throughout, clean, linen and beds were brand new. Not to mention the mattresses were extremely comfortable! The only complaint I had was the carpet still had the new odor smell. Which, in this case I still give 5 stars because it met all our expectations. I would highly recommending renting this unit if you are looking for a family friendly resort! Cheers to 1605 @ The Carousel!!

Go to wildwood, NJ instead. Ocean city is over crowded and a waist of time and money. The lines to do anything are so terribly long. I want to enjoy my vacation not waist time waiting to do nothing. There's nothing but a few rides and the beach is so small. Traffic is absolutely terrible.

Great location but needs exterminator. Tile floors didn't feel clean either. I had to wear my flip flops the entire time in the condo. Elevators were constantly busy and car 4 was broke each day we were there. They fix it amd it was broke later or the next day again. Always a line at the elevator. Very old and dated. Not worth about $400 per night. I will not be back.

The Carousel will let you sign for your child to stay at the hotel but then will barge in on them while they are in the room...(just unlock the door and enter) and to try to find reasons to evict them within the first day or two. It is a real racket they are running there. Then they will keep your deposit for no reason. Very disappointed in the way they feel they can treat people.

This old hotel shows some age, although it was recently "restored". I think it was repainted. A 2 queen room on the ocean was plenty large, with a pull-out sofa, but the bathroom was small and had a miniature toilet. The dresser was "unstable". The room was fairly quiet, in spite of the music from the outside bar. They have an unusual HAV system, just heat in the winter and AC in the summer. Look out on shoulder seasons...the hotel was cool in June w no heat. The AC in the room is powered by a 6... Read more

I have always stayed here as a couple, but I saw lots of families. They have an ice skating rink, restaurant, theme nights, an indoor pool and an outdoor pool, and a well kept beach. The atmosphere is wonderful. The price for there food is good. The reason for the 4/5 review, is only because there is only one elevator to the ocean front rooms, so it takes a while.

This is a low budget hotel for families and we made the wrong choice , you pay for what you get . Old furniture and no decorations in our room , crowdy and very noisy in the hotel .... The beach was nice and clean and we had lots of space to rest . Will never go back to ocean city , kitch , boardwalk ultra commercial with t shirts shops every 50 feet....

We stayed here for 2 nights. Service was great for us. My kids 7 and 15 are not big beach people so the choice of indoor or outdoor pools, and the ice rink was super. It is important that me and the kids have lots to do at the hotel since my husband is a golfer. I will say the hotel is older and could use less carpet. I think all beach hotels should have no carpet. We also loved the balcony great fro hanging beach clothes.

This hotel is definitely showing its age. From completely un-dercorated rooms with mis-matched furniture to a balcony door that was almost impossible to open. For the amount charged I would definitely look elsewhere. For breakfast buffet was much better choice. Ordered breakfast was bland and potatoes were cubes definitely from frozen with no flavor, buffet potatoes were fresh and seasoned, why would any restaurant do that. There was also water spraying from the air conditioner above. So the room was dated as others have said, which we expected, but we were unable to go outside. And we paid over $300 for a Satu... There are hotel rooms and then condo rooms and we got a condo room. The one good things is the bay view and the ocean view and the balcony s are huge. The service was incredible and we had such a good waitress who was very funny and nice and he was from Croatia. The fire pits were a nice touch although you did have to reserve them. I like the movie on the beach and the palm trees were nice although the beach dose not even compare to the Caribbean. And I loved waking up in the morning and seeing ... Read more

Cons- The back Queen bedroom and Double Full bedroom are both without an dedicated AC vent and they get hot. We did our best to crank up the main AC and direct fans to make due. First, parking isn't terrible like at many hotels. There's a large lot and a garage right next door. The room was big enough with two twin size beds, a small fridge and sink area with a coffee pot and a small bathroom. The sink leaked which was annoying but not a big deal. Housekeeping was very attentive and we always had what we needed. There's a small bistro, a warm indoor pool, large jacuzzi, souvenir shop and an ice rink which are all nice.

Great place for families....there's a ton to do. Pool bar serves great drinks and food, and there is often entertainment in that area. The pool is very small for the size of the resort. Don't expect to get a lounger unless you wait in line for the gate to open at 10am. The hotel is older, and has not been perfectly maintained, but the beds were comfy and the rooms were adequate. The condo did not have enough of any utensil, plates, pots, pans, etc for the number of people allowed in the room. If the room sleeps 10 there should be enough stuff for 10. Just returned from a family vacation where we stayed at the Carousel. We did not rent our condo directly through the resort, but through a realtor. It appears as though the condo owners/resort have not done any renovations since the building came up. Parking spaces are very tight, so if you have a large SUV, be warned. I requested another room (#417) facing the ice skating rink and Atrium, which was a bit better. I found a bottle top and receipt in the bedding of the bed I slept in.
